Of the above albums, My Story Classical is the most highly orchestral. All 5 albums contain orchestral accompaniment with Ayumi Hamasaki singing. The Orchestral Remix albums do contain a little bit of other background instruments but are still quite enjoyable. You might want to download one of the albums first to see if you like Ayumi Hamasaki's voice.

I listened to first 2CDs and...First of all, orchestra is small (sometimes very small), most tracks are based on strings and piano, sometimes there is a woodwind or two, brass are absent for most of the time. Arranges are rather simple, without extravagance (only few of them were actually performed by full orchestra), which makes this album kinda monotonous. But melodies are very nice and catchy (well, after all it's pop), and they are the strongest element here.

So - after all - I have to say that it's pleasent listen. Those CDs can bring some light to those ugly Autumn days. So thanks Sirusjr.

People - myself included - have a certain "expectation" when they see the words "Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra" in connection with a Japanese album... The orchestrations are, as herbaciak has already observed, surprisingly lean - they're not at all unpleasant, but after a while (say, for instance, four hours) they all begin to feel very repetitive... The J-Pop melodies are all rather cliched and similar in tone, as they go (as you'd expect) and I think they really needed an overpowering, florid orchestration to make them work. These are arrangements that really "play it safe" and given the source material, they really shouldn't be.

After all that, I'm still really really enjoying this, but as an easy-listening, calming, background album - not as the ravishing "J-Pop symphony" that is implied. It's music for lazy days, for taking it easy, for sitting around doing absolutely nothing, and enjoying every minute of it.

I'm probably being unfair, because I expect if this album had been called "Classical J-Pop - Melodies for A Sunny Sunday Afternoon" then we'd all be giving rave reviews...

THANK YOU for posting... and I am definitely interested in hearing more if anybody has anything else like this --- or can point me in the right direction for finding more.

As you may have noticed in the tags (can't remember if I left them as I found them) there are a number of tracks performed by the Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra. I have one more album I haven't had time to post yet called Jpop meets Classic Harmony - hitomi. i'm not really sure which Hitomi the music is from (as there are so many) but it is a great listen as well. I'll try to post it soon
EDIT: I updated my post to reflect that some tracks are by the Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra.

Would you guys be interested in me making a pack of the original JPOP songs contained in this pack (at least the ones I have)? Or do most people here have this stuff already?

I just found that one too hahaha I'll add it in a bit! Damn me hiding this stuff within various artists.

Actually, what bitrate is yours? mine looks like only 160kbps.

EDIT: It seems I also have 5 Orchestral albums from Ayumi Hamasaki that aren't from this series where its orchestral background with singing. I'll upload those as well soon (Those are in 320kbps )

The Disc01 AYUMI HAMASAKI MELODY that I do have with a Birate of 128Kbps...So Your's Sirusjr is in better Quality....Do You have Any other Orchestral albums Different From This Set?!....I don't Like Ayumi Hamasaki and Utada Hikaru That much... if they can Do an Orchestral albums Or Jazz Albums For Miho Komatsu or Zard Or Garnet Crow (Those True Artists)....That Would be a Marvelous Experience...
There is an interseting Album For Anzen Chitai that I was searching Years ago Called "JAZZ de Kikuo ...... Hitori Bocchi no Yell" "安全地帯- JAZZで聴く…ひとりぼっちのエール" Which is a Jazz instrumental collection for Best Songs of Anzen Chitai...I think it would be great to Get this CD....
[Hidden link. Register to see links.]
And there is another CD For the 80's Best J-pop Songs in Piano "Jazz Style"...is Called "ニューミュージックオブジャズピアノ Jazz Piano"....I think this CD Also Good...

No, It's not Hitomi Shimatani, It's a another J-pop artist called "Hitomi".

But, If you don't know who is Hitomi Shimatani, just click on this youtube link, and you will discover a very good jpop artist.

zaykho - Oh i know hitomi shimatani, just a bit too lazy to check beacuse I rarely pay attention to individual song names. My other point is there are sooo many artists named Hitomi something or other that its difficult to tell. I really love the hitomi who did songs on Escaflowne and is from Bless4 but its hard to tell because she also goes by hitomi.

Taldarin - I can think of numerous awesome jpop singers who should have their work done this way and haven't. Its better to enjoy what is there
