I didn't care much for stage 4, it only sounded like a bunch of jarring notes trying to make themselves into a melody.

Tails wins the toss! Black It! (4-0) and Live A Live (2-2) advance!

I'm hearing that the site is being blocked by anti-malware software for some people again, so that might explain the mass disappearance of participants over the past month.

    Woah

My dude, if you want to vote in the first round of the FF rumble let me know because I'm updating it in about half an hour.

---------- Post added at 09:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:27 PM ----------

Groups G and H are hurting most if you just want to knock out a few for yucks. Only had 5 voters for them vs 10 for A. It was a weird year.

Obviously don't feel obligated to do any of them, just saying. Let me know though because I'm going to finalize the stats to rand the next round otherwise

    Welcome back, OST!

Yeah, I've been having a lot of problems with the Shrine since 5/18. Every page I click on produces a "Malicious link blocked" message. I've emailed Jessie twice to figure out why this is happening, but have not yet heard back. Until then, I'll be here as much as the technology and time allow.

    Oops never posted the update.

Super Metroid (4-1) and Advanced Busterhawk Gleylancer (4-1) advance!

We've reached the end of the first round of the anniversary game. These last two tracks were never semifinalists. Heck, they may have never advanced beyond the first round. But by some heavily biased host wizardry, here they are!

    Hahaha. Here we go!

Shadow of the Colossus - Swift Horse - For my money, this is the greatest "riding a horse" song in vgm history. Unfortunately, it's going against the greatest "taking a bath" song in vgm history. And while the second of those experiences is more relatable to me (I've only ridden one horse in my life, and it immediately sat down in a ditch), I'd like to think the experience could be as exciting and grandiose as Kow Otani's making it out to be.

Battle Kid 2 - $1966 Volt Tower - A lot of NARFNra's picks were intended to be lesser celebrated songs from well known soundtracks (Gimmick! being a recent and conspicuous example of that), but Battle Kid 2 falls outside that mold. I hadn't heard anything off the second game's soundtrack before and really like this.
