    - Silent Hill (All)
    - Saw Film Scores

Saw in particular is very ominous, evil and haunting music. Charlie Clouser has done unbelievable work on those films.

I'd say, the whole Fatal Frame series. The OSTs are nothing but, wailings and grunts and honest to goodness scary.

I put these on my playlist when I'm working nightshift in my studio just to be alert and awake.

I recommend you listen to it!

Aubrey Hodges is amazing. I love his dark ambient scores for the N64 and PSX DOOM games.

And in fact, his song for the Dark Citadel level in DOOM 64 is what I came in here to post: [Hidden link. Register to see links.]

This is bothersome to listen to late at night, cranked up and with all the lights out.

Phantasmagoria OST, its a a constant variation of 4 or 5 themes, and its reiteration portrays madness and obssesion at its best

I tend to like creepy music, and some games have some awesome sounding stuff. For example:

    Alan Wake
American Mcgees Alice and it's sequel Madness Returns. I specially like Fortress of doors, Wonderland woods and Pandemonium from AMA and vale of tears, hatter and queensland from madness returns.
    Bioshock
Blood (the cd soundtrack is especially creepy.. the midi is hit or miss)
Clive Barker's Undying (the main menu is especially amazing)
    Dead Space
    The Witcher
    Temple of elemental evil.

Now, mind you, those are all second compared to one game:

    Thief: The Dark Project.

Just listen to how wicked this sounds: [Hidden link. Register to see links.]
It starts off desolate and very creepy, continues that way till 1:40 where it gets even more creepy, the theme hints itself around 2:30 in, and gradually builds up at 3:00.
It captures that desolate lonely feeling of being a thief in the night.

    Jerry Goldsmith's Mephisto Waltz:

(listen to those 'moans' at 1:15)

Other Goldsmith horror scores you should definitely check out are The Omen (1976) and Alien (1979).

The soundtrack to Shiki by Yasuharu Takanashi. Haunting and beautiful.

Creepy goes to Doll of Doom from The 7th Guest.
