I think you are incredibly overrated, Requiem is one of the best films ever ;(
I think you are incredibly overrated, Requiem is one of the best films ever ;(
My so-called top five list:
1 - The Lord of the Rings
2 - Jurassic Park
3 - Bram Stoker's Dracula
4 - Star Wars
5 - Harry Potter (I love it!)
i love the theme for the second termenator movie
Here's a short list of my personal favorites...
-Jurassic Park (not the one labeled "theme" on the OST - I'm talking about the one that plays when they first reach the island)
-Air Force One
-Armageddon
-Band of Brothers
-Boondock Saints (that irish song that plays during the opening credits)
-Crimson Tide
-Dragonheart
-Independence Day
-Mars Attacks (I just love that opening theme)
-Star Wars (This one's just a classic)
-Terminator 2 (the theme that plays as Arnold is being lowered into the molten steel)
There's lots more, but I'll limit my choices to those.
"There's lots of law these days, but not much justice. Celebrities murder their wives and go free. A mother kills her children, and the news people on TV say she's the victim and want you to send money to her lawyers. When everything's upside down like this, what fool just sits back and thinks justice will prevail?"
-Dean Koontz
It's gotta be The Raiders March from Raiders of theArk![]()
I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one witha love for the Jurassic Park theme.
Star Wars', Predator's, and of course Terminator's main themes would be on that list too.
Kikujiro no Natsu - summer. I cried just listening to this song. Only movie theme that's able to do that for me.
I think that I could not select a score for a space, because otherwise I would have so many movies in one place
Star Trek The Motion Picture.

Casino Royale theme (and music) is very clever. Dark Knight also.
Old thread, but noticed no one had mentioned the theme to Lawrence Of Arabia.
It's the finest example of a European orchestra playing Arabian-based tonality that I can think of, and so sums up the film perfectly.
The Lord of The Rings by far. It has so many instantly recognizable songs

Theme from Jaws...gets me everytime
The movie Titanic has some great movie loving themes made by James Horner.
Oh man! Way too many! I have to compile a list then I'll post it.
Lots, depending on the moment.
In this specific moment I would say "Chevaliers of Sangreal".
@ pasc:
I'm guessing you're referring to Lux Aeterna aka Requiem for a Tower, right? (nods in approval) Solid pick there.

The opening for Chariots of Fire is fantastic, from a total package point of view. The music itself is distinctive, the framing is epic. Steadycam on the beach of a bunch of runners in slight slowmotion with the muted details of a beach/ocean background. Cinematography 101.

In an interview, Vangelis said the director of Chariots of Fire had his heart set on L'Enfant as the opening theme (which is a good song, but has no energy). Vangelis came up with the Chariots of Fire theme and presented it to them and they accepted. They admit in the interview that Vangelis' music is what made the movie memorable. Without the Chariots of Fire theme, the movie would have been long forgotten. He won Oscar for best soundtrack in 1982 for Chariots of Fire.
