6a) This is critical to the lifespan of a download link: Code it. Not only code it, but "corrupt" the url or change it a bit. Example "hxxp://www[dot]fill-in-the-blank[dot]com"
Why? This is one of the ways file hosting site administrators go about removing copyright violating content. Links that aren't coded and/or corrupted phone home back to the mothership (the server) so to speak. By following this advice, the link can't do this.
6b) Give your file/archive a non obvious title or one that is completely unrelated to the content. So, instead of "Final Fantasy VI Piano Collection" rename it to "podcast#15" or whatever. File hosting sites like Rapidshare, Megaupload, Filefront, etc have bots or an automated system that scans for uploads by file name.
6c) Password protect your file(s)/archive(s). I'm just paranoid that an administrator will open my archive, see it for what it really is and remove it.
6d) Optional. Don't use file hosting sites where the download links end in .zip, .rar or whatever archiving system you use. You don't want a busy body outsider using the Google Blog search engine or Share Miner, finding your link and reporting it to its respective hosting site, now do you? This step is useless, however, if you title your download file something that won't set off any red flags.
Points 6a&b really should be included in the OP. Since early January, I've been posting my uploads in several warez forums and none of them have been removed from my file hosting site of choice, FlyUpload.
i love this place. i can download lots of ost with simple and convenient rules. some site has stupid rules like certain points required to download and that point had to be replenish with lot of upload. not everyone in the world can have fast upload speed.
i love this place. thanks for keeping it going.
Is it possible that anyone can upload Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee OST
i'll be sure to follow guidelines!
Is it allowed to post link to sites that are like GH?
I have a question. Is it OK to post links to uploads that you didn't create? Because I recently came across a set of complete scores to a certain trilogy that I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in, but I wanted to make sure it'd be OK to pass along the info.
So, if i'm posting midis, then i can simply upload a zip containing lots istead of uploading one by one?
one more question: i kinda don't get it... but if I upload my midis to the download links thread, they might posted on galbadia hotel?
umm... thanks!
Nice i am loving this site.
Thanks for all your hard work.
Hey guys! Why some posts and topics that i created were deleted?
Someone tell me?
Thanks in advance!
I am making this post as I am currently unsure who to post to make a request. I am looking for the OSTs for Star Wars Episodes 5 and 6. If anyone has these, message me back, i tried to do a search for them, but it didn't really turn up any results, and I would like to know if it on FileFactory, as i have a Premium Membership with them, so downloading through that is a lot easier for me. Thanks! and Sarah, VERY NICE on making such a treasure trove of music, Thank You!
Uhm... Can someone re-upload all the Taro Hakase albums? I really want to have them.
Wow! All that soundtracks you was posted. You're sugoi, Sarah! ^_^
I'll find the Mother Lode someday.
thank you eriol

I have found many listings that are Varese Sarabande releases, people really need to check before they post. Someone is going to end up biting the big one for downloading something that should not be here, and that is gonna cause the forum to be destroyed. Please be more careful people, unless you want this great place to be destroyed. Go here to check if what you want to upload is Varese Sarabande....[Hidden link. Register to see links.] Thank You!

Sorry to repost this from a zelda thread but I actually didn't read this thread til after:
By the way, if you guys would select the little box beside "Encrypt Filenames" in WinRAR or WinZIP and also code the main file title, like instead of Zelda - Twilight Princess Original Soundtrack.rar you did ZTPOST.rar and also pass the file, they wouldn't get wipped from servers (yes I realize I didn't do that for this one or code the filename for the mario all-stars ost i just re-upped, but I'm just now getting back to where I upload stuff, so just listen. The main filename does not matter, if you have folders you want to protect the file structure for, there's an option for that too, but the servers like mega and rapid are being botted with word recognition and being opened, pass them, encrypt them, and code the main filename and they can't see the filenames in the rar unless they have the password. The final step is to use a site to upload to multiple sites automatically immediately after your single upload, an upload mirror site.......just saying, it'd be nice if ppl on here had a standard upload process rather than the files being wiped after just 3 days online. Cheers.
