is x-men days of future past - the rouge cut considered not allowed?

i mean, it's pretty much the like the complete version, that was pulled upon mr. ottman's request.
if the rouge cut is considered equal, i wont bother posting it.

I believe the primary reason Ottman wanted it pulled in the first place was so that he could boost sales for the Rogue Cut release.

i figured that much. but i doubt mr. ottman will say "you can share rouge cut, but don't share the complete edition."

hmm... maybe it's better to leave this of the board. this may cause more trouble and that sort of stress is not worth it.

Yeah so I'd wait on posting it, just so it could make some sales for a bit. Now watch some ass post the full thing lol

I was checking it out last night and compared to the expanded set, it's actually shorter.

Any Led-Zeppelin fans on here? I made custom film versions of all their songs that appear in my favorite movie, Almost Famous. If you're interested, you know what to do

It doesn't include the film version of "Time's Up", which is kinda weird.

You can always ask Ottman, personally, to see if it's okay to pirate his music now.

From now on no threads are to be created for music from Varese Sarabande.

I have also had to delete a few threads, just in case people are wondering where they have gone to.

Did someone report us to Varese? Did they JUST realize this? Cuz it's been years like this

Have their numbers gone down lately, so they decided to fight piracy thinking that's the fault?

Whatever it is, this is terrible news.

I would hate for this to be the case.

While I like to think nobody would monitor PMs, no more threads "advertising" Varese releases can be created, that means it would be best for you to not tell anyone to PM you, either, that is if you care about your account and what's linked to it. I have a feeling sharing of Varese won't be tolerated, period.
Jessie, should we take the same approach for the remaining banned material? I've closed a few threads over at the VGM forum, but I noticed you mass-deleted threads about Resident Evil releases, so, what do you want me to do? I don't have a problems with deleting threads advertising/PM-sharing banned material (oh, we'd have to delete the Lossless VG thread, if that's the case, let me do that XD), I always found it silly+risky to keep threads around.

For those wondering, this place has been already reported by a Shriner to the likes of Varese years ago, the "half-ban" of Varese was also a consequence of that action.

That's too bad. On the other hand, the most interesting releases these days are done by LaLaLand and Intrada anyway, so I personally can live with a complete Varese ban.

Mmmmm you sure about that? Do you know just how many scores are owned by Varese?

And soon, with all of our focus on Intrada and La-La Land, we'll squeeze the life out their profits, and THEN we'll just be a discussion site!

I'm quite aware of that, but I was speaking of NEW releases. The last interesting Varese release for me personally was Star Trek Into Darkness. Others may feel differently... different tastes, different preferences.

That's EXACTLY why we should be more patient with new releases. Give the labels time to sell their limited releases, wait several weeks or a few months, and THEN share them. That's a win-win scenario for the labels and for people who wouldn't buy the scores and, at the same time, have the patience to wait for them to appear here. (At least, that's the theory... mostly, that won't happen.)

True. And I can't recall the last good Varese release off the top of my head (maybe The Final Girls), but I think this will put a dent in the forum.

I agree with this completely. I think Braveheart was posted twice (on the same day) within days of it being released. I think there should be *some* kind of ban on LLL and Intrada releases. Like maybe not being able to post them until it's been a solid month after release or something.
