Seen One, I Don't Really Like It. I Hate Seeing Patrick Stewart Playing A Drunk And Swearing All The Time. Its Not Like Watching Him Growing Up
But I Was Pleased to See Brent Spiner Guest Star Great To See The Two Of Them Together.

I Watched The 5 That Have Aired So Far, Spiner Was Only In Ep 1 For A Min, Donno If He Will Be In Anymore. Its Funny But Not Really What I Thought Stewart Would Do. Episode 2's Airport Toilet Scene Had Me In Stitches.

It's a prequel of sorts to set up the Series that's suppose to fallow, made by several Star Trek Actors, that was hopeful that CBS would take it and run, but was denied, so they decided to raise the funding themselves and produce it.
I watched it and I thought that it wasn't to bad. It had hints of amateur directing, but still entertaining. Good story. They may get better at it, and I don't mean to make it sound bad at all. It's worth a watch in my opinion. They are supposed to create more episodes, like once week or so.

Hmmm. I was only able to find like one torrent out there for it.

I imagine it's under a strict budget, which would show up in directing, etc.

I will give it a look over this weekend.

There was another independent online-only trek production by the same producers before, in 2008, called "Star Trek: Of Gods and Men", also with several veteran trek actors (some of which are part of "Renegades" again, not nessecarily in the same roles). That earlier production had a closed story of its own (kind of follow-up to the trek-tos part of "Star Trek Generations", with some actors reprising their roles from ST-Generations), but has no relation to this new production, story-wise. There are torrents to be found for that, too, and it's also on youtube.

Both movies are starring Tim Russ and Walter Koenig as Tuvok and Chekov, to name but two.

People really should relax and wait what this is all about. There's no point in judging about a new tv show in this early state. I'll wait until I see the pilot episode. Alex Kurtzman as E.P. doesn't necessarily mean this will be bad (nor good), but there will be more people involved in creating this, like writers, creative consultants, script supervisors, executive producers, etc., and we don't know yet who these might be. There may very well be people involved who do "get" trek, and who might be influential in the creative process (people like Manny Coto, Ronald D. Moore, or other, yet unknown writers with similar background who do know their trek).

I just think it's pretty shitty that after the pilot is nationally broadcasted on CBS you can only watch future episodes on CBS streaming service for a fee.
Maybe they will release season one after a year but I'm not gonna buy something that I don't know much about.
