BTW just so you know, the sound can be much improved by using nearly ANY audio interface instead of your sound card. The results you're getting so far are way superior to emulation still, though.

Do you have any suggestions for a cheap one? I've never used one before.

Also, are there any examples of quality difference between using an interface and not? (Though I can't listen right this moment since I'm at work.)

Between youtube and personal experience, I've played Dark Duel Stories all the way through, I could help you with track names. I'd use youtube to help jog my memory on some tracks because I haven't played it for a while.

Hey, do you have a Super Game Boy? Donkey Kong '94 has an enhanced credits theme if you play it on a Super Game Boy.

I do! I have a Super Game Boy 2, in fact, which fixes the speed/pitch issues from the first one. However, I can't get clean recordings from my Super Famicom. There's a lot of background noise. If I could get my hands on an SNES that had better sound, I'd love to record the SGB soundtracks for the few games that supported them. Especially since I'm almost entirely sure that nobody else has ever done that.

There's [Hidden link. Register to see links.] who does hardware SNES rips with a modded SNES. You're better off asking him.

Sorry if I keep asking, but are you going to do Wario Land 1-3 as well?

Are you still working on Shantae? These rips are freaking amazing, and I was just curious if I should wait or if i should go find another rip. Anyway, keep up the amazing work!

Sorry for my absence. Life has been quite busy lately so my work on these has been on hold. On the bright side, I've recently upgraded my recording setup!

Yes, I am! That's going to be out soon. I just need to find another night where I'm not busy with something else. This has been a rather busy summer for me so far.

Potentially, though I've never played those games so I'd probably need assistance tagging and arranging the songs. I have many other games in the queue before those, though.

Oh my God. This project is amazing. Keep up the good work. I'll be going mad when you finish ripping TCG2. Track 2 on that Tetris rip shocked me.

Oh, alright. No hurry, just curious whether you were still here or not. I can't wait! Finally no more 128kbps emulator rip, it's time for the real deal!

You know, I was thinking, maybe I could help tag some of the bigger games for you. Not all, as I haven't played quite a few Game Boy games, but I was mainly thinking about Pokemon G/S/C, and the two Kirby Games

It sounds just like my old memories!! I could never get into the REVERB-abusing CD releases of Pokémon. I'll take a listen to everything you make, it's the best I have ever found!

Oh well, we all have lives, that kind of stuff comes first. Thanks for the current rips anyway!

Since you are doing Donkey Kong '94, can you please upload that soundtrack very soon?

Also, please remember to add all of the songs, including the Super Game Boy version of the Credits theme.

omg, thank you so much for releasing more actual DMG hardware recordings! I was keeping an eye out for a new thread for Volume 2 or something, but decided to check back here on Vol 1 and read some feedback. Glad I did and seen the new uploads. Thanks a lot again and keep up the great work!!

Oh, and just an FYI that may make recording easier, in the original Shantae there is a debug mode with a hidden music player.
Here (for the code and directions): [Hidden link. Register to see links.]
Look under, map notes, and it will explain how to open the music player.
    Just a heads up

Hey Shugo, are you still around? I love the sound of your Game Boy rips and want to know if everything is alright!
