I agree with the Young Vulcan. I was sleep-deprived after Halloween shenanigans, let the Millennials' suffer too. Builds Character! Why, I remember the time I came home after Trick-or-Treating, changed costumes, and went out again!

They should leave calendars and clocks alone. Get used to Mother Nature's sunrise times. All these time changes make it hard for Dracula to set his alarm clock!

Time change, the death of so many vampires, and great for coffee companies.

Mark, I love the cheesie movie, The Giant Claw, bad FX and all. I went after Halloween shopping today, got a pet dragon, test tubes, pumpkin juice bottle and a broomstick.

    Now Turkey month, gobble-gobble.
Yeah I know! but it would be better for the parents of today and the kids! sometimes change is good. Just had a bad night (sleep apnea) sucks but nothing else I can do about it. AZ I love all those movies, sometimes it can be heard to watch all the ones I love...not enough time in a day or life to watch them all.

Yeah Turkey time and watch the waistlines! and all the pies...Oh man there goes my heart! what a way to go....lol

It sure does...build character! My oldest son complains about Halloween (taking his daughter out) and the 2 hours he lost. How the hell did we raise a generation of lazy kids? and now the younger generation wants to get paid (a living wage) and not work for it? I'm to old for all these cry babies!!!

My parents let us go on our own when we hit 11 or 12, of course we were raised with enough fear that if we did anything wrong we know we here dead meat and our parents had every right to bury us in the backyard! The calendar has to be adjusted every now and then same with the clocks. Daylight savings times saves money and energy we use and I know it's left over from World War II which is left over from World War I but in the end it works....oh well, by the time the next generation takes over I won't care.

I agree 100 percent Mark! my daughter in-law is a great cook and she makes some of the best food (next to my mom...of course. she [my daughter in-law] has sure helped me get pass the loss of my mom) but when your a kid your mom is the best cook in the world and none of my ex-wife's could ever cook as good as she did! Make potato salad or macaroni salad like she could!! Man do I miss my mom's cooking!

    Mom, food, the best.

Spent my holiday in bed in pain, alone (except dogs) and not much time online.

I just heard from Marc Cushman. John DF Black just passed.

Marc said, As you know, John was not only Associate Producer on the first 13 episodes of TOS, and the series first story editor, and the writer of "The Naked Time," but was the one who came up with the line: "Space ... the final frontier."

He should get a proper send off into the final frontier!

What I liked about him was his continuing public presence, giving interviews for various DVD and BluRay collections and the media and fan scene in general. He will be well remembered. God speed, John!

Here is a short article about him on the official site:

Yeah, but I get scared of that guy in the red suit whose name starts with "S" -- I hear he watches who's been bad or good.

Oh, did I mention I'm dyxlesic? I hear his name is S-A-N-T-A. Or is it S-A-T-A-N? I just hopes he stays away from MY chimbley!

I'm still alive, sort of. Found out the pain that I was having in my back and leg is cause by my crooked spine in lower back caused by arthritis. I knew it was coming, just hoped it would happen AFTER I died. Also, bad pain in my butt, and not going into the details, I know y'all have weak stomachs.

Another TOS guy gone, at least his work will go on.

Mark, get a grip, Santa is a good guy. If you get coal for Christmas, it is your fault that you now made it on the naughty list.

Merry Christmas to all here, and a BA! HUMBUG! to the rest.

May I refer ye all to the blog post I just established. My own version of "The Night Before Christmas," tweaked for our favorite starship crew. I swear that when I first made the thing about 20 years ago I thought I was the only person who had the idea.

Thanks, Scott, my friend! I wish you could help, and the pills I got for pain is too weak to help my butt. For my butt,Medicare will NOT cover any meds, what I need is surgery, besides, I don't want to get hooked on pain drugs. As for my back, getting MRI Thursday, and depending on what it shows, my Brother's Chiropractor says he might be able to help, but, I am on meds that are helping with the pain, so I can get around better now. Thanks for the offer to talk on phone, just not up to talking now.

A merry Christmas from Germany to all of you, may all your wishes come true, especially a peaceful and fulfilled life with your families and friends. And, mostly, good health, especially to you, AZSneed! May you find the right treatment for your various medical conditions! As long as you don't give up, there is still hope!

It figures Medicare won't cover it! hell the same thing with me too! Yeah getting hooked on any meds is bad enough! I know several retired law enforcement officers hooked on pain meds with no end in sight and quite a few that have lost there wife's and even kids because of them.

Keep us in the loop my friend on what the MRI shows, we do care AZ!! We are keeping you in our prayers and send all our good wish's to you!

I understand AZ but if there is ever anything or you want to just talk about you have my home number!

News for the crew, the doctor told me no back surgery, just a shot in my back will do, coming soon. So far pills have helped to get walking around a lot better. I still got my pain in my butt, but, not as bad, a little. Something weird, had two doctor visits last Wednesday, back to back, and both offices had on TV, HGTV. Selling houses not that exciting. I missed my yearly Christmas video watching, what a bummer. I did buy on DVD, Kong of Skull Island, 1st and 2nd seasons of newer Doctor Who, and my brother gave me complete 2nd season of F Troop, still funny.

    So, how are y'all doing?

Remember AZ, if you have a pain in the butt, it's OK to BE one! Best wishes for recoveries this year! But I hope the doctor who shot you in the back wasn't wearing a black hat.

At my regular check-in at the doctor, he said my blood pressure was great. "What, no stress?" he said. I replied I must be too dumb to worry. Which reminded me of a favorite influence from my youth, Alfred E Neuman! He's got more hair than I do nowadays.

    Mark, thanks!

Who, me worry? Not dumb, MAD.

Over Christmas, I bought Harry Potter dolls(not action figures) of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Dumbledore and I still need McGonagall. All of them are Barbie scale and from the movie, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PLAYING WITH DOLLS? Plus, wands, and books. They are part of my Wizarding World collection, and next month, Fantastic Beasts:The Crimes of Grindelwald comes to DVD/Bluray, Looking forward to finally seeing it.

Well no surgery is good! The less they have to cut into a body the better that is, good to hear your back to walking. Hopefully both doctors visits were in the same building! I've had that before but both were on different ends of the city, talk about doing code 3!! I had something like 20 minutes to get to the other doctor's office and people in this town drive like idiots! Needless to say I made it with about 2 minutes left on the clock and then sit for 25 minutes waiting for them to call me. AZ you can always have your yearly Christmas video watching now! No one is going to say a word (phaser in hand set to stun, pointing it around looking for the first person that opens their mouth he he he) Kong on Skull island! Damn I have not seen that in years!! I don't know if you heard but Ken Berry passed away the 1st. Of December...sad anyway your right it is still a funny show. I watched the first 2 episodes of the new doctor who! Give me the old ones!!! She stinks!! And the music is horrible! For now, I'm done with Doctor Who, I'll stick with the old ones. Take care of yourself AZ
