In my opinion, no...it's really fussy requiring you to use a certain browser and the latest flash/java updates have to be installed and so on.

I like using Zippyshare, it's easy and they have a nifty upload tool.

    Hello,
Does somebody know if Filefactory is blocked from Europe?
All links are invalid. Thank you!

I don't know...let's wait and see what others have to say about it.

I can upload and download without issues on FileFactory, I guess the problem is on mrcbrl's end.

I just downloaded Cipriani's Speed Driver. It took 20 seconds. I don't see your problem.

Unless you want to install an exe-file (by choosing priority download) the only other option is free download and then it looks like this:

And when you click Free Download you get this:

So much for "free" downloads. Either you install something unwanted or you have to register in one way or another...
I don't have the time to check all my links regularly so should you want something and the links are dead, send me a PM, DON'T clutter the thread with requests for re-ups. I will be likely to ignore those.

Yes Calidoran, unfortunately there are a lot of file hosts pulling surreptitious things even some of those we once fully trusted like Sendspace have a box checked to download the file with their own application.

It's best to put the link in a download manager and not visit the hosting page directly.

An even better option would be users starting to pay a bit more attention and actually take a look at the download page. Most of these "application(s)-checkboxes" could be easily unchecked with a few clicks, or is that too much for the lazy generation of nowadays' downloaders?

I used to only double check hosting pages that I had never used before but now it seems we all have to be more vigilant or get a potentially malicious executable.

This does not surprise me one bit, it's their own fault for making their host undesirable to packers/uploaders which was the bulk of their client base. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

Textbin is a data host specializing in text only. This particular data host goes down from time to time but is already back up. I prefer freetexthost.com or litetext.com over textbin.

Multiupload working fine with 6 filehosts - use their batch manager if you're having trouble connecting.

I loathe rapidshare. The last DL I attempted had a 15 day timeframe. Let's say I opted out.

    I just use Mediafire.
Fast, easy, and always stays up. It's not one of those sites that go "Oh, nobody's used this for 60 days so I'll delete myself". I like MEGA but find it to be very glitchy, even using different browsers and plugins it sometimes gets stuck on 99%, depending on the size of the download.

That's going to be around for a while.

The "guy" you quoted, Zoran, is a bot, not an actual person. Try quoting that post.
