i guess it depends on the what score it is for me.......for some scores I prefer the commercial album release and for others I prefer the expanded/complete releases which are sometimes the real thing or else a DVD rip.
For instance Elfman's Eddy Scissorhands is one of favorite scores ever, but I own the official release on cassette and CD and am happy with that.....the album presentation on the score is perfection. I downloaded the complete score, listened to it once and dumped it. Same goes for James Newton Howard's Lady In The Water.....that's one of my favorite scores, but the commercial album is better than the expanded bootleg. But the score to Harry Gregson-Williams's Kingdom Of Heaven is improved in it's complete form as opposed to it's commercial release. I bought the commercial release when it came out and listened to it a few times, enjoyed it, but never thought much of it, until I downloaded the complete recording sessions....now it's quite possibly one of my favorite scores. |

i had to delete about 10 GBs of music of scores I'd downloaded....was great to get a hold of them, give them a listen,...but i my laptop was at critical-mass...and i needed the space....they were good but sacrifice-able,put a few of the compressed files on memory stick...but i got something like 600 hours of music on here !.

alot of the rare stuff i've stumbled upon, but I don't really listen to, I don't bother to keep or burn, i just pack 'em back up and upload 'em to my mediafire account and don't share any of the links, so they sit there and nobody downloads them, so they're not in any danger of being discovered and deleted. Everynow and then I'll go and re-download them for a music sample for my own music or a single track for a mix.

but the 2nd one....was too much money involved.thats how it sounded to me....plus the whole caring-sharing early 90's feel....{did like T-1000's theme}...but i didn't much like T2 the movie much...believe it or not ! was too preachy. james cameron talking about nuclear disarmament....but hes talkin to the average joe in the street with his movies...how the fuck am "i" gonna disarm anything !?...i paid to see kick-ass cyborgs....not get preached to about nuclear weapons ! {sigh} and i am a Terminator fanboy...can you tell ? ![]() 5th one in looks more like John Travolta ! I like most of James Cameron's movies....i'm not a major fan of his though......I've only seen the 1st Terminator once and haven't really had the urge to see it again....I saw T2 twice...True Lies maybe three times.
I saw Aliens, The Abyss and Titanic quite a few times though..... ....but I'm interested in seeing the technology James Cameron's used for Avatar though......so yeah.....i'm giddy for that movie. strangely enough, I've seeing T3 like 5 times though......weird....and that's not even Cameron, so i guess it doesn't count. |

a long lull in the conversation.
either we're all fapping away to mental's Arnie collection or else the mere mention of seeing T3 more times than T2 is a internerd no-no and y'all not talking to me anymore for that. |

yeah, last 2 or 3 weeks in the evening {for me} its been flooded with users !.
the Batman game score is in 4 parts and luckily on megaupload...seem to be able to INSTANTLY download parts one after the other....which is cool. AVATAR has grown a little on me since the extra footage....but,....to be honest,i woulda begged him to forget all that "man is destructive & bad & to blame & aliens are nice n' cute" stuff.....and just took over the future-war Terminator movies. even back in 1991 in an official T2 mag,he had artwork and everything all drawn up for a future-war Terminator movie....so for me to wait 18 years for McG to fuck it up royally & shit all over everything.....has really....left a shit taste in my mouth. |

i hadn't even seen the charlies angels stuff.....even with all that hollywood prime pussy on offer....
but i had "hopes".....cos i'd heard "he" was a "fan" of the other movies.....which,is what you're hoping for as a fan.....but i think i've heard that gimmick before in hollywood...! but it really was shit. i watched it online for FREE....and i felt cheated ! {now THATS fuckin bad !!} i hear when its released on DVD theres gonna be a "R-Rated Directors Cut"....i can only fuckin hope that has some violence in it & not the play by numbers family entertainment that was T4 ! |

meh...i don't really think any of the CA actresses are that attractive to begin with.....
i don't give a rat's ass about the violence.....i cared more for the script and the characters....and T4 didn't display anything to care about. I guess that's what you get when Christian Bale decides to meddle with the script. |

i just think movies hit their stride with story telling end of the 80's....a good balance....then effects improved alot.....
but then hollywood literally just said, "fuck story & characters....we make money"....then they even made us,the movie going public also aware of the "demographic" they were going after....more money in the hard sell than script writers are paid !. yeah the CA girls weren't all that hot....but the promotion told us so....! next it'll actually be porn stars in hollywood movies....! |

Strangely enough, Jenna Jameson will be playing his internet buddy, cuckoo. I'm not so sure i agree with this casting choice.....i'm not that hideous.

I have this version too, but it's only in 192kbit. This is one of my favorite scores of Williams. You got a link? Took my a while to track it down, seems to be a little rare. Been watching Eastwick the TV series, I was hoping the music in it would sometimes pay some homage to it, but no. Yes, it's the TV soap opera version...I keep hoping it will get interesting because I like the movie....but so far it's Sex in the Cityish with the small hint of WOE flavor. Hopefully next week we'll see something better. When I was working at Theaters I convinced them to book some movies as midnight screenings. I got to see Aliens and the Abyss on the big screen again as well as many others of my favorites. They still do midnights seasonally at The Cameras in San Jose, your welcome! I fell asleep at an employee midnight screening for T3 before it came out. I kept waking up with the big explosions and falling back to sleep. Didn't see it again until it aired on cable. I still don't think I've seen it once all the way through. T2 was awesome at the time, but I don't think it hold up as well as say Aliens today. It's like watching Jurassic Park for the first time, you're all like WOW! but now it's just like....oh Jurassic Park is on again, yawn. Yayyyyy, there's a script for the Hobbits. You kids want a look at the secrets he is sworn to secrecy about? READ A BOOK! |
