Antraxx- No, I think the one I'm talking about is on the side of that one... it's called "Soul Edge Arcade Edition Original Soundtrack- Super Battle Sound Attack". I remember I had a BAD psx rip from about 7 years ago of the "arcade" arrange on Playstation and then I listened to this one and it was different. Again, I have to dig out my harddrive to see... there's a good chance I'm mistaken and maybe a tad confused. If it is different I'll upload it so you can listen to it, even though it's lossy. Just so you can hear it.

Thanks, Axegrinder for showing me "Nntendo Sound History Series: Zelda the Music". I'm grabbing it.

By the way, did anybody else notice that the Ehrgeiz soundtrack was a bit screwy? The cues were all messed up and referrenced things that didn't exist. After trying to fix the cues unsuccessfully, I decided to convert the whole soundtrack to .wav and cut the tracks MANUALLY... what a pain in the ass!

My point being that if anybody was having trouble and wants it, I now have the Ehrgeiz soundtrack cut into seperate tracks for both discs in .wav format. I'll upload it, just ask! Then you can convert it to whatever you want.

Oh, I'm trying to find these at the moment... if anybody has them and is willing to share I'd appreciate it. If I find them first I'll put them up:

Tenchu: Stealth Assasins
Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven
Phantasy Star Online (Any except Episode III)
Shin Contra (Contra: Shattered Soldier in the US)
Rumble Roses
Rumble Roses XX

It' s seems you're right, there's GM-243 , so it's certainly the bootleg, i buy it when chrono trigger was release on playstation, was not aware of that....

What's the point with bootleg? there are reprint but illegal or less quality ?

They are illegal reprints usually manufactured in countries where copyright laws are very loose. So long as they don't put the actual name of the company on the product and have a separate catalog number... apparently they can get away with it.

It is highly unlikely a "professional" bootleg would be of any less in audio quality as this is digital media we're talking about, the only thing you might get are skips if the pressing was not very good. So long as the data transferred, the music should be the same.

It's possible a bootlegger might use MP3s, but I have never seen this from the main bootleg houses: Ever Anime, Sonmay... etc. I have seen stupid amateur eBay sellers try to get away with retarded "home made" copies though. Most main bootleggers will acquire an actual copy of the real thing, and just make copies from that.

Another obvious problem with bootlegs is the poor print material included with the album. On average bootleggers cannot afford to print the booklet and sleeves at the same quality as the original producers. The image on the CD itself is usually grainier too.

Well it's only illegal if whatever country the bootleg is from is being sold outside of that country, most likely Taiwan. Assuming that you're not from Taiwan, it's illegal for them to sell it to you. Now the other thing about bootlegs is that the quality is usually degraded. Even if you're not able to tell any difference in sound from the bootleg and the original copy, there's no way to know if it really contains all of the data from the original as most of them are re-recordings. I strongly recommend that no one buy bootlegs and especially don't share them here.

If you want to be sure that an album that you have in your collection is the original copy, you can compare the catalog numbers that are on the album case and/or the inner ring on the underside of the CD(s) to the info at [Hidden link. Register to see links.].

Eventually. If you absolutely can't stand waiting, even with a download manager, by all means, post mirrors once you download and upload. I'll try to get some mirrors going, but my ISP may have something to say about my bandwidth. Still, if the links go dead, then we won't have a choice.

I have some copies of bootleg Anime/VGM albums from Ever Anime, I buy them because it's near impossible to find the original ones here in Malaysia. One of the main reason being that the original copies from Japan are EXTREMELY expensive, so record companies here couldn't be bothered to bring them in... Most of us Anime/Video Game fans here have to rely on bootlegs...

I know of a few of these albums that are uploaded already in lossless but they are not accurate rips made by Exact Audio Copy or correct settings where not applied which resulted in an incomplete rip.

If you own any of these CDs and are willign to rip them, please refer to my [Hidden link. Register to see links.] for details on a proper setup. Tanks!

I'm currently uploading the three Black Mages albums. I was going to upload the Silent Hill OSTs like I said I would, but I forgot I don't have them in this computer, they're in the FLAC backup I keep at my best friend's place, so I'll get them on Saturday and upload as soon as I can.
