Bigass one.

This update is broken into two parts. Part 1, Non-Series Rips, and Part 2, the Metal Gear Solid rips.

Change from now on is Rapidshare 200 mb parts, Megaupload 95 mb parts, and Flac is always Rapidshare 200 mb. Older rips I did early on I didnt do rapidshare so that's why only some of them are rapid and mu.

Section 1: Non-Series Rips

Infernal: Hell's Vengeance (Adam Skorupa) Xbox 360 - 85 Tracks

Code:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PPIIKAYZ
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=L3N8A43E
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UYV3MSL2

Fix Track: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7F47HI7G
Was a real, real, pain in the ass to rip. And I fucked this one up, didn't convert the first one second or so of music. But have no time to rerip this, so it'll have to do for now. Fix track is the credits, forgot to upload that one with the rest somehow. Awesome metal score, if you can forgive the one second errors. Oj supplied this one.

Legendary (Jack Grillo, Ricardo Hernandez) Xbox 360 - 123 Tracks

Code:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TQKJZ6PQ
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PZKJB3EW
Was a pain in the ass to rip as well, like all Unreal Engine 3 games on the 360 that are compressed. BUT, I didn't fuck this one up. Awesome metal score. Thanks Ripper935 for supplying.

Full Auto (John Roome, Rom Di Prisco, Various Artists) Xbox 360 - 83 Tracks

Code:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MHIHHB1N
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=87LLL62W
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KRUL77TR
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LOQG2Y01
Now here we go, not a pain in the ass! Awesome metal/electronic score. Not your typical combat racing score, very good. Thanks Moriya for this one.

G-Force (Steve Duckworth) PS2 - 79 Tracks

Code:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GP1NJ185
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0RL9URFG
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BDT7ELS5
Very, very good score. In the leagues of Need for Speed Most Wanted. Combat tracks are high speed orchestral electronics with no limit to those awesome guitars. Thankies OJ.

G-Force (Steve Duckworth) PSP - 31 Tracks

Code:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=REUGEIV0
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=W4FZQRCB
^^. With different cues.

Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles (Gameloft) Nintendo DS - 21 Tracks

Code:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SV77GU59
Awesome score! Shitty quality. Mono 22 khz. Same style as Assassin's Creed (that awesome Jesper Kyd ethnic electronic orchestral stuff).

Far Cry Instincts (Paul Haslinger) Xbox - 62 Tracks

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG PAUL HASLINGER!!!!!!!! Need I say more? More tracks than Kataah's old rip, this one has all the action tracks and an ambient track that kataah missed. Was unbelievably shitty to rip, but was worth it. Thanks for the advice Kataah, else this would have been practically impossible to rip.

Download the fix track. I had the original in the wrong frequency.

Moon (Gareth Vilday) Nintendo DS - 42 Tracks

Yesss, epic awesome score. Orchestral with some electronics. One hot witch too. Thanks Ripper. I'll get this witch for you.

Section 2: Metal Gear Solid

Ok. My first series rip. Metal Gear Solid. So. It's not exactly complete. MGS1 was ripped software by Alpha a while back, it was looped and all that, so no need to rerip it at the moment. Metal Gear Solid 2. Ripped the PC version. PS2 version was shitty to rip, and I suspect the xbox version would be shitty too. PC doesn't have as much music as the console ports I think, and I couldn't get the movie archives to unpack and convert. Metal Gear Solid 3. Proprietary audio format. No luck decoding it. Maybe another time. Metal Gear Solid 4. Nope, no chance, PS3 game, encryption-zorz. So the games I mostly ripped were the spin-offs. All the Metal Gear Solid PSP games I ripped. Ripped Twin Snakes. All that stuff like Document of Metal Gear Solid 2 and addons with new music I had no time to look at, but, I can bet you it uses the shitty Konami dat's, and a proprietary audio format to come along with it. Portable Ops Plus only has one song, the icon music, and the cinematics music but that was unrippable because PSP vids aren't rippable with audio at the moment, therefore I didn't rip that one.

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (Dave Miner, Steve Henifin, Norihiko Hibino, Shuichi Kobori, Toshiyuki Kakuta, Waichiro Ozaki) - Nintendo Gamecube - 97 Tracks

Ogg:

And uh, yeah. The links kind of got cut off. Forgot about the Rapidshare character limit. So download these in order. Label the first link "Metal Gear Solid - The Twin Snakes (Dave Miner, Steve Henifin, Norihiko Hibino, Shuichi Kobori, Tosh).part1.rar" Obviously that's not the complete filename but who gives a damn. Label the next link the same thing, only part2.rar at the end instead of part1.rar. Do that for the rest of the links, in order. OR, you could just download the Mega links.

And Silent Hill series is coming next time. Had no time to put it in this update. Prepare for some more series rips next time. And no, I'm not telling you which ones.

Credit is given where credit is due.

Try renaming them to .aa3 before opening. Do you have Sound Forge 9?

Don't expect flawless rips from pietastesgood or OrangeC, many of them contain errors.
Sorry pals, but that's how it is. So please don't take offense in me being direct...

Bullet Witch works fine for me too. Thanks for this one by the way

Another thing: @ Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (Flac-Version); Track 2 is apparently missing. There are just 96 tracks instead of 97. The files are like this..
01 - Track_0001.flac
02 - Track_0003.flac
03 - Track_0004.flac

Its' like that 5carface, there were SFX and voices all over the place in there. So I just picked out the music, and that made gaps in the numbering.

Plus, there were many duplicates.

And thank you, for that great compliment of yours Alpha.

First of all, Bullet Witch is not silence. I've tested it. Russ has tested it. And I'm sure many other people have tested it, based on the number of downloads. You can test it, it is not silence. Try changing your audio player to Winamp. Second of all, here is me being frank. All this "PERFECT looping points, PERFECT fading, PERFECT shit" that you talk about doesn't matter.

What matters is, that people enjoy it, and that it is listenable. Nothing needs to be PERFECT.

And you cannot argue that mine, or OrangeC's rips, are not listenable. Ask practically anyone in this thread. They all think it's listenable. You may think that they're not listenable, but the rest of the population here aren't perfectionists, and frankly, do not CARE, about perfect rips. They just care that the music is there, and that it sounds good. And I am doing exactly that.

They don't need PERFECT looping points, therefore, they do not care. Sure, they might say, "Great! PERFECT looping points!" But no, they wouldn't really care, one way or the other, perfect looping points or not. Why do we share here? It's for the people. We meet the peoples' needs, they are happy. I think OrangeC and I are doing a perfectly good job of it.

By the way, VGM Legacy is a team. Frankly, I don't think we are working very well with you throwing public insults at OrangeC and me all the time. It isn't going to work like that. Sometimes, you just have to learn to be subtle.

You didn't really think your post wouldn't offend someone, did you?

Try to understand that you just dismissed two months of my hard, hard work, blood and sweat, as rubbish. I wouldn't feel so great if I were you. But I'm not you, and I wouldn't know, perhaps you're one of those people who don't feel anything.

Perhaps, make a few small, nice comments on improvement. Don't go out and say, HELLO, PIE AND ORANGE. YOUR RIPS SUCK. NO OFFENSE. That just isn't going to work.

All this "PERFECT looping points, PERFECT fading, PERFECT" that you talk about doesn't matter.

Listen who's talking... Sounds like you were almost 10 years older than me and not the other way round. Just calm down a bit.
I'm just saying that some quality standards here don't meet my expectations. That's just a personal remark so there's no need to feel insulted.
But I really appreciate you constructive criticism!
To be honest, It seems like I didn't understand the purpose of this group. Now that you told me in a really comprehensible way what this thread is all about, I agree with you that no rip has to be 'perfect' if you just want to deliver rips that are 'listenable', you just have to surpass your personal threshold for your definition of 'listenable'. But regarding VGM ripping, I definitely have other thresholds. So as a conclusion I can only do one logical thing: I'm leaving VGM Legacy.
That's no offense or me trying to hit on somebody here. I honstly wish you all the best for your group for the future!

Bye

In your honor, I will try to make my rips as perfect as possible in the future. And I mean that.
