Take it you've not heard "The Army Of Death" then?

I also enjoyed EOD. It's a shame the old style Dalek voices couldn't be used as these would have fitted better with the 4th Doctor. I've always found the 'New' Dalek voices a little harsh sounding.
Also Power of the Daleks fan film part one was pretty good.

I've seen some of the classic Dalek stories, and I enjoyed them. But their voice doesn't have quite as much impact as when Nick Briggs does it. Maybe I've just grown more accustomed to Briggs' version, but I feel that when he does it, it's very "in your face", which helps sell how nasty they are.

Yeah point taken. I grew up with the classic series so have a soft spot for the 'old' Daleks. The advantage with audio is you only have to listen to them and not see them. The NEW Daleks are awful. Though I hear they are going to change the design again.

Thanks for EoD, Davros. A good, solid Dalek adventure and yeah, great to hear Leela meeting the Daleks at long, long last! The Baker/Jameson chemistry is in full effect here - it's wonderful to hear them together. Ended a bit abruptly though - thought there might some kind of coda.

I was actually looking for REQUESTS from the list

That's a LOT of stuff on a rather slow (70-80kb/s upload speed average) connection.

If possible it would be lovely to get hold of LS08 and DWM7 from your list. Is there anything you're actively looking for at the moment?

Glad you enjoyed it - it's one of my favourite Doctor Who stories, and such a shame it was never completed in 1980. The animation that was on the Beeb's site (and it's [Hidden link. Register to see links.], with a few other webcasts), is great, as it's the BF audio drama with pictures - which should happen more often...

It's a shame too, that the 2011 animation was refused by the Beeb (and their worldwide releases section), as it look much better than the webcast one. The [Hidden link. Register to see links.] is like Marmite, you either love him or hate him (as he's a pretty successful record producer, and apparently a bit like Simon Cowell), but he was instrumental in stopping the Beeb from destroying the old episodes, and getting them released them on DVD. Personally I respect what he's done for DW fans, but I don't think I'd like to meet him. I do hope his dream of seeing his animation sold on DVD comes true though...

Tanis, your enthusiasm to help is great

I personally have most of the back catalogue of audio releases, and can assist.

I've tended to wait until things have been requested, as one never knows what still up from this forum.

Question: Is the DVD release of the Daemons in colour? The last time it played in Oz it was in black & white, and I can't recall it being one of the BBC holdings that was listed as being a B&W holding only.

    Cheers
    Daft

Quoted from a review on the US Amazon.

According to the website, dvdactive, episodes 1 & 2 supposedly look almost as good as the original Quad master tapes, ep 5 isn't far behind, but ep 3 looks "soft" by comparison. They didn't mention how well ep 4 turned out, but I wd assume that it must look very good becuz it was the only one that still existed in (colour) PAL format (for the 1993 VHS release of THE DAEMONS, the monochrome film of the other four ep's was overlaid onto the NTCS colour signal from an "off air" VCR recording of them). The site also noted that the video sequences looked better than the scenes shot on film. Hope that they're right and that this helps.
Have you ever been talking to someone and they tell you that you remembered something wrong and, despite your often excellent memory, it's happened so much that you wonder if you're not slipping along parallel dimensions so similar to our own that the differences are so minute as to be unnoticeable and then become afraid that one day you'll wake up and an American will be playing the Doctor?

Am I the only one that thought that 4DA: EoD was just ok? I know it was supposed to be a bog-standard Dalek story, but did it have to be THAT bog-standard? You can tell that this was the first Baker story they did, since they hadn't even begun to reel in his excesses. He sounds very much like he did in the Nest Cottage BBC audios, overaggagerating every third word, whether it was actually important or not and really trying way too hard to give everything he says a total air of mystery, even if it's just hello. But Louise really saves this one. Not only is the character handled very well in this (as it is in all of the 4DA's and lost stories so far!), but her acting is excellent (ditto!) And as much as I lke the CD extras, are we going to be treated to a whole season of actors basically saying "OMFG I get to work with Tom Baker in Doctor Who!" -- and writers and directors basically saying the same thing?

Now, Five's TET, on the other hand. I'm only one episode in, but it's wonderful so far. It really draws you in right away. And the soundscape is possibly one of the best I've heard in a BF audio to date. By going to English-occupied India, it really creates a nice mix of the familiar with the exotic. The first multiple cliffhanger is a doozy! I think this one is going to be one of the goodies!

Many thanks for this Large Conclusion ! Alas, I can't download anything from RS since they changed their... whatever they changed (I keep getting a download error at about 40%, then the download starts at the beginning again...).
Could it be possible for anyone who managed to get this one to ulpoad it with MF, or even FS ? Thanks !
I used to be schizophrenic, but I'm OK now. Me too.

Thanks for the info about the Daemons, Drake

I'll just be happy to see some of it in colour for once. Having recently viewed the Invasion Of The Dinosaurs Ep1 recovery, I still marvel at the ingenuity and end product of the colour recovery process.

If someone hasn't already upt it by Thursday, Nafoute (when I next frequent an internet cafe), I'll shove it up on 2share for you.

    Cheers

I stopped listening to the extras a while ago as they stopped being mainly about the writing, production and proper "behind the scenes" stuff and became what felt just like back-slapping and Richardson fawning over people.

I know there's a few of you waiting for this - sorry for the wait.
The author wanted to make several changes before it was released as an eBook, but here is his final version:
    Spoiler!

He also tells me that he has finished another novelisation (the episode after "Rose", with initials TEOTW), and has half-done DT's 2006 episode 9, 'TSP'. He asks if anyone would be interested in those too? Any comments or suggestions, feel free let me know, and I'll pass them on (he doesn't want his email address public knowledge).

Apparently, to get rid of ads, try this. Go to Google Chrome search bar and search 'Adblock plus chrome', install and you should be either free of ads forever or the world will implode.

Have to make clear, the other forum at the other site is just a longer storage area. If you are frustrated of your links going down after 2 days, then share there. If this isn't an issue, then share here. Or both. It is totally up to you. And thanks to everyone who PM'd me - glad to have you on board.

Could someone re-up latest from No. 5 using Media Fire or 4 shared. I've run out of Rapid Share for now, but will apply more rapids this week.[COLOR="Silver"]
