Blade Runner - Esper Retirement Edition

All the mediafire links to the aforementioned release were deleted files from account because reported to their abuse department. The rest of the files seems to be still there...

"The files are showing that they have been deleted from our servers. If you have not done so, if they violated our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, and were reported to our abuse department for any of those violations, they would have been removed from our servers."
"This would still occur if you were to have a premium account."

    ---Game Over---

It is still currently being shared on the ed2k network where any son of unknown-father and known-mother can act as silly as he might be...

[Hidden link. Register to see links.]

Feel free to mirror them back if you wish to help others with the share. However, a better encode is avaliable on other forums, even if in a different form.
It appears to have different track durations for example, even if the audio content seems to be the same.

---EDIT: WORKING LINKS ADDED TO THE ORIGINAL POSTS---

... the rest is something that this and other releases are still trying to capture with mixed results until the composer itself will decide to do so.
This edition, however, though more correct than any which preceded it, appears to contain the same versions (including same artifacts) as featured on the Blade Runner 2001 Version. The Esper Edition just blended one into the other. Who's ripping off who then?

Original artwork's thumbnails are included together with new fan-made artwork.

PS. Given the original artwork, it would be nice if someone with graphic skills could update the thumbnails included

... again, the rest is something that this and other releases are still trying to fix down with mixed results until the composer itself will decide to do so.
This ‘what if’ edition, however, appears to be as clever and sound wise as an official one. Some people with hats who wish to remain anonymous and are responsible for the “Silver & Moments” web release of the score, (which the music on this edition was taken from with some omissions) delivered this witty vision of what might have been back in 1982, (2010 actually), putting into shape what Polydor/PolyGram Records might have taken care of if Vangelis would have agreed to the possibility of having the music he wrote for the movie on vynil at the time.
At some point the label seemed eager to do that, but the score would not appear until 1994, when East West/Atlantic was licensed to publish only a ‘trimmed down version’ of the soundtrack at last.
The sound quality of this release, given the sources, is pretty outstanding for a start.
Grey Fedora has managed to hit the nail in the proper way.
These guys have a fine taste to do things as they should be done and are kind enough to share their team efforts.

    Comments :

Another fan-made compilation and not necessarily a bad one.
This time a more cinematic cut in the Deck Art 765 vein, but without sound effects.
Edited by someone someplace (perhaps) in UK who's getting all the credits for this private release under the Nas moniker.
No, not the God's Son. That's United States. No, it just can't be...
Not really much infos provided except the note posted with this rarity at the Yahoo! Blade Runner Soundtrack Group.
Artwork included. Both originals and alternate ones re-designed by JackC.

“It sounds a bit like an early prototype for the "2019" version as it has the same ending track (or similar).”

    Steven

    I quite like the re-edit

Three more releases to go... but I'd rather posting them in one go.
I just need to be around a bit more for the listening tests

    Known as:
    - Special Edition
    - Deck Music Version
    - The Japanese Edition
    - Memoirs Vol. 7

    Year: 1999
    Label: Deck Music (Japan)

This release is a re-edited, re-mastered version of "Memoirs Vol. 5," with a few noticeable exceptions. It contains an alternate version of Rachel playing the piano (minor key instead of major). This particular piece is remarkable, since this piece of music existed only in the workprint. Als a segue into "Rachel’s Song" at the point in the soundtrack where Rachel is beginning her Voigt-Kampff interview is presented. The sound quality is said to be the best among all bootlegs.

Does anybody know where I can find this gem?

You might want to check on [Hidden link. Register to see links.]
but the release you are looking for should be the same (with less tracks) as in
Blade Runner - Deck Definitive Edition

...this release is virtually identical to its predecessor‚ Deck Music (a.k.a Memoires 7)... This release is a supposed re-mastered version of the Deck Music release. I have listened closely with headphones and there is a slight improvement in terms of sound over the Deck Music release‚ although the difference is minimal‚ at best. This new release also has a few extras not present on its predecessor: The full version of the "alternate Love Theme" from the Blade Runner work print (as heard on Themes II). However‚ more interestingly‚ it has the alternate John Williams temp music for Batty's Tears in Rain monologue. The last track is and audio version of the film's trailer.

Both "Blade Runner - Director's Cut version - Memoires vol 5" and "Blade Runner - Deck Definitive Edition" are avaliable on this thread... the latter can also be found on the lossless thread I believe

And yes... it does sound really good!

    FK Game Music

    Hi everybody.
I have a couple of issues regarding the Westwood edition posted here and there around the web.
So far (according to the tracks I am having) I came to the following tracklist:

    01 - Main Titles
    02 - Etsuko Theme a.k.a. Geishan Echoes
03 - Battle Theme a.k.a. Running Along The Blade a.k.a. Anticipation
    04 - Wait For Me
    05 - Blade Runner Blues
06 - One More Time, Love
    07 - Enigma Drift a.k.a. Enigma Funk a.k.a. Taffys Club 4
    08 - Animoid Row a.k.a. Animoid Alley
    09 - Taffy's Club a.k.a. Downtown
    10 - Taffy's Club 2 a.k.a. 4th Sector
11 - Ending a.k.a. The Battle Ends a.k.a. Bomb Escape
    12 - Unknown Cue a.k.a. Sadik's Arena a.k.a. McCoy Vs. Sadik
    13 - Bounce
    14 - Good Night
    15 - Awakenings a.k.a. Last Breaths
16 - Put Your Hands On Me a.k.a. Early Qs 1
    17 - Dektora's Dance
    18 - Silence
    19 - Unknown Cue 2 a.k.a. Metal & Leather a.k.a. Gothic Club 3
20 - Gothic Club a.k.a. Trash Dance a.k.a. Downtown Slam
    21 - Gothic Club 2 a.k.a. Streets Of LA 2019
22 - The Eyes Follow a.k.a. Pulse Grind
    23 - By Invitation Only a.k.a. Invitation Only a.k.a. Early Qs 2
    24 - Love Theme
    25 - Solitude
    26 - Bradbury Building
    27 - Late Call a.k.a. Slow Dive a.k.a. Taffys Club 3
    28 - Remorse a.k.a. Opening a.k.a. Luther & Lance
    29 - End Credits a.k.a. End Titles
    30 - Credits (Edit)

This is most likely the version including all the musical cues from the game I believe.

Anyway I am finding myself unsure about including the following cues included in the other versions posted:

    Bonus tracks

Fighter Hiphop (bonus from Klepacki site Blade Runner section)
Blade Runner - Westwood Game Music

Offworld Colonies - Dwight Okahara from Westwood's Blade Runner

Blade Runner Blues (Short Loop) from Westwood's Blade Runner

End Titles (Westwood Edition) from Westwood's Blade Runner

Love Theme (Edit - 3.37 long) from Westwood's Blade Runner

    Welcome from Westwood's Blade Runner

Adding also the intro to the Blade Runner game made by Westwood and perhaps also adding

Chinatown - Louis Castle from Westwood's Blade Runner

Hawker's Circle - Louis Castle from Westwood's Blade Runner

McCoy's Apartment - Louis Castle from Westwood's Blade Runner

Gordo's Standup from Blade Runner - Westwood Adventure Game (Disc 2)

As far as I know the Fighter Hiphop cue is not a bonus on Klepacki site and it is not on the Blade Runner section of it... and nowhere on the site also...

Shall I take it is just a clever attempt made not by klepacki?
... same for End Titles (Westwood Edition)...
Can someone shed some light on it please?

Is Gordo's Standup part of the game music?

I cannot play the game since the computer is having several blue screens of death lately (I am delaying the posts I intend to do because of it)

Can someone confirm about "Gordo's Standup"?

Do anyone have the Louis Castle videos about the game?
The ones I am having are really low quality and there's no way I can restore the frequencies lost in the low bit rate encoding I'm afraid...

If anyone is interested in contributing to the game score please send a pm

    Hi Dadadacicici,
The track Fighter Hiphop was originally ripped from the Frank Klepacki website, Blade Runner section by myself. I was glad I did, because it soon vanished from the site. So I think it's appropriate to use it.

Gordo's stand-up comedy IS in the game.

I can't help with the Louis Castle question.

    Zhora.

    Notes :

The original content of this archive was originally posted at Sci-Fi Dead-Donkey Forums on July 2004 for the ed2k network.
I am not re-uploading it as I got it off the p2p network as released on [Hidden link. Register to see links.] (where most of the Blade Runner bootlegs started getting into mainstream at the time).
The original archive can still be found here a few pages back if you wish.
Disc One was essentially a compilation including all the cues from the Off-World version and the extra track included in the virtually clone version translated in Romanian also known as Gongo release. I have merely re-ripped the songs in better quality off the cd’s eliminating the DC offset problem they both seem to share.
Disc Two was the “Blade Runner Suite” (or the songs better referred as Blade Runner Outtakes since they were not included in the official soundtrack release).
“This name was assigned by the editing staff at Warner Brothers. This cut of music cues by Vangelis comes straight from the vaults at the highest level, and features yet unheard “outtakes” and compositions which were written circa 1981 for the legendary film.“
The quality for a tape transfer was pretty good (if not very good).
It contained the early version that ended up as “Desolation Path” on cd2 of the Blade Runner Trilogy (the first part of it is known as “I Dreamt Music” on previous bootlegs).
The “Blade Runner Suite” (a.k.a. “Blade Runner Outtakes”) was a one-track transfer from the mastering cues including 11 tracks in total.
It seemed just the right time to split it into a more appropriate form using mp3 editing software without decoding it to audio and keeping the original variable bitrate.
I just applied fadings at the start and the end of the songs and trimmed out the less relevant bytes of tape hiss and silence or artifacts.
Some are still there in between the fade in’s & out’s.
Most of the releases coming since 2004 have taken their sources from the songs off the so-called “Blade Runner Suite”.

THIS IS A SPLITTED REPACKAGE OF DISC TWO

PS: Track 09 a.k.a. "Alternate Love Theme" perhaps, never had a proper name (as most of the songs of the Blade Runner bootlegs anyway). I eventually came up with the "Replicant's Love Theme" working title to identify the "Outtakes" tracklist. Hope you do not mind.
