If it is, I got it via torrent and I don't like it. It has a lot of dialogues included in the most of the themes. At the same its sound is not the best, it seems the original recordings.
Sanico, what is your version ???
Best.
I have you a happy track with flutes. But it's not only happy, sorry, but i hope you like it anyway (with a little orchestra)

It's this one, [Hidden link. Register to see links.].
It's a collection of the main themes of Kurosawa best-known films.
It's the best way to listen in case you don't have the time to invest on the big music box sets collections, but then it's not complete.
The sound quality goes to between average (due the year of the movie release) to good.

My music & soundtrack collection....still updating!!
"Music is both the cause and the effect of universal harmony" - Confucius
Here's something a bit like that.
Ogre -Grand Repeat- is a superb orchestral arrangement of the music from the Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre games. The music was already extraordinary in these games and took the SNES sound to its best level. But this album truly gives homage to the wonderful music of Sakimoto and Iwata by offering it a sumptuous symphonic enhancement.
Note: this version is a HQ VBR one I downloaded long ago. The sound quality is really good, so enjoy!
Ogre -Grand Repeat-
Music: Hitoshi Sakimoto (1, 4, 5, 8, 10), Masaharu Iwata (2, 3, 6, 7, 9)
Arrangement: Masatsugu Shinozaki
Conductor: Koji Haijima

A rich orchestral arrangement of the music from the Ogre Battle series. About time!
Review by Adam Page
Ogre Battle, even after enjoying U.S. releases on two separate platforms, has still made little press in the game music scene. While there may be strong competition against the strategy game itself, Ogre Battle's soundtrack still has few rivals in its genre. Its semi-sequel, Tactics Ogre, never came over, but an updated version will soon be localized and released on the PlayStation. Several years ago, Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata, who recently scored Final Fantasy Tactics, offered up these rich and engaging soundtracks that seemed to pass right by uninterested American game music fans. Well, American game music fans, sit up and take notice.
Ogre ~ Grand Repeat is exactly what those soundtracks deserved - a full symphonic onslaught of sound and emotion. A little late in the making perhaps, but welcomed with open arms. Players of the PS version of Ogre Battle will recognize half of the first track, "Overture", from the opening of the game. I have not played through the PS edition, but it's likely they used "Neo Overture" and "Revolt" as well. The remaining melodies are from Tactics Ogre, but are so similar to Ogre Battle in theme and style that there is little division between the two while listening.
The arrangements, when compared to their OSVs, are very faithful. There is little to no embellishment of the original melodies, just a fuller and more authentic sound. The performances are fantastic - skilled, stirring, and error-free. Fans of Risa Ohki will be pleased to know that she sings in several songs, but unfortunately has no solo performances and is virtually indiscernible from the other members of the chorus.
Excellent orchestral arrangements like this one are relatively hard to come by for game music fans. I extend my recommendation even to those who are unfamiliar with the game series.
Try this one, there's a lot of flute, it's mostly joyful, and some tracks even have an orchestra. Great stuff.

Not dialogues but there is a track where it's just a chanting piece, and also a bit on the "Dreams" track, and that's it.
It's not intrusive like a dialogue is.
Aaaaaaaah! Coooould Beeeee! The version I have though seems to be more of a bootleg or individual compilation. Its tagged in french and has 2 Suites for Kagemusha, 3 for Ran, 2 for Dreams, as well as the tracks you listed. Yes depending on the age of the recording is how the quality is going to be.

Goisles: Thanks for the Kurosawa albums, very impressive pack! I'm not familiar with this kind of music, but the Toru Takemitsu scores are really good.
Sanico: Any chance you could post your Kurosawa compilation here as well? Because:
- Garcia requested it here
- It's 90% orchestral
Thank you in advance.
DEMEHTER: Of course I meant you see what you need, AND THEN you request here, in case someone has the one you look for.
Qqqqqqwe and Garcia: right now I'm just passing by very quickly, but I'll check your great posts tomorrow. Thx for posting, guys.![]()
This is sorta what I would call pop classical (fantastic vocalist singing amazing songs though) so since I was uploading it for a friend i thought I'd share.

Faryl went on Brittan's got talent and won and she is really amazing, maybe even close to the greatness of Hayley Westenra. I suggest you guys check it out if you like female classical vocalists.

Digitalstrike posted this amazing orchestral score by Ilan Eshkeri in the film score/vgm hunt thread.
[Hidden link. Register to see links.]
It is the soundtrack to a 2009 movie called The Young Victoria and aptly contains a very classical style to it. Considering I believe Eshkeri is a zimmer padowan, the style is completely unexpected even coming off of the fantastic score for Stardust. If it turns out that this just plays numerous classical songs and is not original please let me know.
Billie, thanks a grand ton for the track ^_^
Ditto to arthierr, but its still downloading.
Hopefully its what ive been itchin for
I think I might be a content man if I ditched my job and learned to play that instrument. *dreams on.....*
