    The (Almost) Complete Gundam Thread

    A few notes:

    First of all, this thread would not be possible without the hard work of AthrunZero, and all of the others who helped contribute to his thread. Since Arthrun has been inactive for over two years, it seems appropriate to give an update. At the moment, this list accounts for about 85% of all Gundam audio, and over 95% of the music.

    None of these are my rips, although all of them are my uploads. They were acquired over a lengthy period of times from websites all over the planet, in a quest for the most complete collection possible, in the highest quality practical.

    There are no plans at this time for me to support lossless formats. However, most of the uploads are either 320kbs, or VBR. Other posters who have lossless links are certainly free to post them if they wish.

    I have also constructed a [Hidden link. Register to see links.] that lists information on all Gundam audio released. This thread uses the same standard as the website as to what is or is not a Gundam album. Basically, it excludes albums in which Gundam is only an incidental presence. It also excludes music from the Super Robot series, for much the same reason. Again, if you wish to post such music here, feel free to do so.

    Until further notice, links will no longer be maintained. Links will not be renewed upon request.
    Others are, of course, allowed to post their own links here or elsewhere.

    I'll be glad to help. That's about 40 albums, so it will take a while to upload that much stuff. Do you have an order of priority?

    Given that they're your initial uploads of the Gundam Side Story, perhaps you can answer some questions I've had about them. I notice that each of the individual albums are virtually identical except for one or two tracks each. How did you choose which tracks went into which album?

    I request the MSG: Lost War Chronicles rip, AEUG V.S. Titans rip, Gundam Climax U.C. rip, and the Battle Chronicle rip. I'm also trying to do a stereo mix recording on MSG: Zeonic Front on the ps2 emulator but I'm afraid some sfx and voices may get in the way since you can't turn down the voice and sfx volumes <:\.

    Thank you for the input. Actually, your suggestions are part of the problem with trying to collect original Gundam music. The show came out before CDs, so the early albums were vinyl or cassette. In 1987 Star Child Records (later King Records) did the first CD releases, three of which had extra tracks. After that they also had CD reissues of the original LPs, and then again later as part of a massive Gundam box set. Mine are based on that box set, and use their catalog numbers... As do the albums you sent links for. What I'm still looking for are the Star Children editions (for the extra tracks.) Mind you all but one of those tracks can be found on the two total music collections (and that one might be there as well under another name.)
    Then there's the problem of what Gundam OST 3 is. There is a TV OST 3 (2 disc drama record and what you have a link for), a third OST for Gundam the Motion Picture (also a 2 disc drama record,) and either of the three discs for Gundam III: Encounters in Space (1 OST and a 2 disc drama set.) It's a complete mess (perpetuated by the two completely Different Zeta Gundam OST Vol 1s,) and one of the reasons why I had to build a website to keep it all straight.
    But by all means, you keep looking and I'll keep looking.

    Actually the Gundam Side Story rips for Saturn, Blue Destiny Volumes 1-3, are all part of the same game trilogy, so the tracks are virtually identical. X3 I simply matched what was in each .ssf rip with its track names by ear.

    Okay, you've raised a lot of questions in a lot of threads that would be easier to answer here.
    About the drama records: As stated above, none of these are my rips. Therefore I cannot re-rip anything. The Gaia Gear albums are only at 64kbs, and I felt that recompressing them after cutting them into bits would adversely affect sound quality. As for the Stardust Memory album, I have no track time information to work from as to where the breaks might be. That the second album has 22 tracks, when most sources say it has only four, makes the question of what a track even is on these albums very complex. I have found no detailed track info on the first album. An examination on audacity does indicate breaks in the sound, but these breaks would be arbitrary, I don't know where or if they correspond to actual track breaks.
    As for Journey to Jaburo, 7 tracks is what I have. While I have no doubt that it has more music, until I actually have such a version, this is what I have. If you have a more extensive version, I'd love a copy.
    This is a distinction made by the data web site in these matters; It covers game rips, not the games themselves. They do not measure what music they have, only what music has been ripped and posted.

    As I'm still working my way down your list, and especially since quality and completeness clearly matter as much to you as they do to me, do you have any of the albums on the missing list? Second, do you have higher bitrate copies of the albums I have which are below 320 or VBR. That is to say, any of these:
