Chocolate Misu's Arts & Doodles for the Internets

Since nobody cares about the panoramic thread, I thought I'd restart and make a thread to show off my artsy doodles and things I post around here. I think of this as being like a diary of my doodles, so I don't forget them.

Also check out my other doodles in the [Hidden link. Register to see links.] thread. I think I did too many to put in here

January 2010 A panoramic piece I made of the character Chocolate Misu
from my dvds of Sorcerer Hunters. This comes form the clean end theme.

[Hidden link. Register to see links.]

I can't find decent pics on the net so I had to make my own. I can't remember
how many separate pics it took to put it together... 15-20 I think (it was awhile ago,
I don't remember anymore.) I took this finished pic, resized it, adjusted the color and made it my sig pic.

2/23/2010 The banners I made for my Gackt Collection thread.
I guess now they're technically wrong since he legally changed his
name from Gackt to GACKT. lulzy.
Find it here [Hidden link. Register to see links.]

3/11/2010 Another panoramic I did of Android Noodle from the
Gorillaz Plastic Beach flash game. I made this from 13 separate screen shots.
This is the smaller version, but it's still big.

    Spoiler!

5/8/10 - A Zelda cover I made for a compilation that firefue put together.
Find it here [Hidden link. Register to see links.]

5/8/10 A couple doodles I did for Sarah's finish the picture thread.

Np! It clearly pays off Me, I just don't have the confidence in myself to post my own artwork, otherwise I would. But regardless I still love to see that of others, and yours is great! What all are your tools of the trade? I'm partial to doing black-n-white sketches and then using Photoshop to color them; I can never get any form of coloring tools to grant me the desired effect I'm very serious about doing art for my creative fiction, it just never comes out how I want it.

For the stuff I put on the net, my digital tools would be.....

I sometimes use paint for comedic effects.

I really love this program [Hidden link. Register to see links.]
I bought the full version of it. I know it's a little old (and Microsoft), but it's quite easy to use. You don't have to spend hours learning it. And most importantly it's panoramic feature is just mind blow-ing-ly good. That's going to help me a lot when I scan large drawings. The only down side is that it closes itself out if I have too many files open. I've kinda learned it's limits.

I also like using MangaStudio. Very nice.

I don't have Photoshop, but I don't think I really need it. Maybe one day though....

    Bookmarked that link

MangaStudio I've heard of, and have been eager to give a try. I'm very interested in doing graphic novels and I'm pretty good with Photoshop for the most part, but that's as good as I can do :O Your talent comes more naturally, and I applaud you for it Maybe later I'll have to find some of my Photoshop creations I've got saved. . . .

Ya manga studio is pretty great. The only problem is that they never make a manual for it XD All you get is the help feature lol But it's easy to figure it out and works wonderfully with my tiny wacom tablet. I've got a sample I made in it somewhere on my external....... I'll have to find it and show you.

Ahh, I've got a few programs myself that never gave me a manual :O They kind of force you to go with trial-and-error to get them figured out, but eventually they become a little more user-friendly with time And that'd be awesome, I'd love to see! I've only gotten one other reaction of my own work so far, so I'd love to get a more professional opinion

*blush* I'm not that good lol. But I'm glad that someone thinks my things I make for fun are decent

I haven't made any full pages in ms but I have done a couple doodles. I've gotten the whole 'drawing lines' thing down, but I'm still trying to figure out the screen tones. In the program they look good, but after you save them they all seem to condense into one big grey mass. I haven't set the program back up on this comp since the last crash I had so I haven't practiced in a long time :P

Here's a gir I traced with my wacom tablet

Do you have a link for your stuff? I'd like to see ^__^

    edit -

Oh ya Microsoft digital also has the ability to create decent gifs. It can't cut the pics out of the vid for you but it can put them together fairly well. The only thing is that it only allows you to use tenths of a second and not hundredth It depends on what you're working with if it will come out choppy or not.

    Example I just made.

Who doesn't love the Angry Beavers is an heretic. XD

No, actually it was sheer luck, Invader Zim reminded me about them, amazing cartoon, good ol' days, the Angry Beavers of course.
The days when Invader Zim was aired, I was without a TV.

I have the whole Zim box set that was put out through Anime Works, and now Nick has their own box set >_< Oh wells, it may not be official but at least I have something.

And believe it or not, but I've actually been finding decent quality bits of Angry Beavers O.o I can't think of what to do for any wallpapers (inspiration took a vacation without me T.T not fair), but I got some good bits to make some gifs from.

I remember Angry Beavers :O VERY vaguely, but I still remember that show I grew up watching crazy stuff like that, but sadly none of it is on anymore

And Choc, I can't seem to get Photobucket to work right, which is where I'm trying to upload my stuff . . . however, I will get it uploaded one of these times I tried earlier, no success I'll just put them on flash drive and take them over to the library to upload them there Computers cannot win this war.

Topopoz, I wanna thank you for spurring me to go find Angry Beavers stuff. I actually found seasons 1-4 and I'm pretty sure every episode is accounted for. O.O I've been downloading them for the last few days. Each ep with individual links on rapidshare T.T It's taking forever........ But I'm almost certain that when I have it all, it'll be almost 10gigs.... Ya, taking the time to get it is sooooooo worth it. And the quality is really good too ^__^ I'll try to think of something more than just gifs to do.

I found some doodles on my external that I made years ago.
I had to shrink them The originals are too big for the page.

I think that first image is of a man dressed in blue, sprinting across a snow-white race track with people dressed all in purple watching from the stands.

    A new cover

Firefue (the member I made the Zelda cover for) has decided to make a new compilation of Halo music and asked for a new cover for it. I sent it to him yesterday and he approves of it. He is currently working on his compilation. Here is the cover I made for everyone else to see.
