What type of paper does people use? I use plain card stock and sometimes with the modes with lots of curves and gentle folds regular printer paper.
The glue I use right now is Elmer's all purpose glue that I squeeze a little on a scrap piece of paper and then spread it on the surface with a nail. I use tweezers to put together small parts.
BIG thanks.
edit: They have lots of the masks from Majora's too. That's my week planned next week.
edit II: I didn't want to wait. So I decided to make the easiest one to see how it would go, so I made the yellow diamond shaped thing that you shoot with an arrow, from Zelda. Printed it on 190 gsm matt photo paper, and stuck it together with double sided tape (so no waiting for glue to hold) and it turned out okay. The template was very well designed. The square bits were simple but the curves were hellish. I uttered lots of NSFW exclamations during the curved bits.
Thanks everyone here for bringing this to my attention, and Chewey for starting the thread.

"There must be something in books, something we can’t imagine, to make a woman stay in a burning house... "
Wow, I had absolutely no idea this thread was revived. Coincidentally, I've just started doing papercraft again. It's very likely I'll just create a horde of [Hidden link. Register to see links.] though, since they're awesome. In case I hadn't already said it in this thread, I lost all my papercraft stuff a long time ago and gave up on the hobby because of it. Let's see how far I get this time.
Screenshots will be up later.
Because Orphans Don't Have Parents
With a username like yours, I have to ask: Where you abandoned by your parents and raised in a Orphanage? If so, that explains a lot. If not, that still explains a lot.
Those papercrafts are awesome! I'm anxious to see more![]()
Just finished my second ROMMY. Took a nap between the cutting and folding parts of the building process.
My first papercraft were these japanese houses from the 50s and I just used plain paper and folded them by hand. Turned out ok even if they were really only boxes, then the next ones I did was cubeecrafts and those are pretty much strait lines so it's good to start off simple.
Lost all your papercraft stuff? You mean the things you made or your knife, ruler, cutting mat?
Lost everything I made. Well, it didn't happen all at once. Slowly, though, they were all destroyed. It sucked. I was especially grumpy about losing the Meowth Balloon
Also, if you're just starting out Dr Faustus, the ROMMYs are pretty easy to make and look pretty cool.
I actually used to do papercraft when I was younger, of course nothing good, just ones I would draw up myself and cut out to put together. Sometimes I think about trying my hand at it again, but I'm not so sure I could do it anymoreI think it would be fun to create my own models to build, but I've seen some like these from Zelda that I'd love to try my hand at: [Hidden link. At any rate, great work

The Wolf Link in your..erm..link XD was designed by Ninjatoes. You can download it from his site along with tons more awesome models from Zelda as well as stuff from Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Advance Wars, and some other more random things like Buffy and Indiana Jones.
*EDIT*
forgot the link to his site.

Dang, Link's links are everywhere Mark marks(reference to a stupid commercial from years ago). Thanks a ton, bro! I'd love to get into papercraft! I always thought as a kid that it was something I invented and was the only one who did, but lately I've been coming to the realization that many people share my interest in it! Very nice

I've seen pictures of vintage papercraft sets from Victorian times so it's pretty old.
The thing I like about it the most is the fact that when I'm making one even if it doesn't come out as good as it could have I'm alright with that. And that's unusual.
Dude! I just noticed but did you get that Navi off of nintendopapercraft Tom's Toonami Tunes? If so that's awesome! It makes me happy to see people building some of my recolors.![]()
I printed and cut out the Zelda Bunny hood, and can't for the life of me figure out how it goes together. It had no instructions.
One of this sites that Tom's Toonami Tunes linked to has a [Hidden link. Register to see links.]
Cool.
Bite my folded cardboard ass!

I've gotten slightly better though I'm gonna need a new knife set as well as a self healing cutting mat. Also I got some quick drying tacky glue and that's much better than just elmer's.
I got a self healing cutting mat. I'd recommend it. I found it made cutting curves a lot easier.![]()
I want to make this one model which is on a PDF file. Now the file is just a little too big to print it original sized, it cuts off about 1/4 of an inch which wouldn't be any problem if I could change the size of the margins on the printed paper but the only size options are original, size to fit, shrink to fit, multiple pages on 1 page and booklet.
I've been scouring how to's and can't find the right info on this simple problem of making the print image cover more of the page.
If anyone is interested I found a [Hidden link. Register to see links.]. They are all the same shape but come in various colours.
They look like this:In small and large sizes.
