I have got metal gear solid 4 and i can line in rip atleast the gameplay music because the music stil plays when i pause it. Not sure why many people saying it cannot be ripped via line in but my U.S greatest hits version does so strange.

You might want to save yourself the trouble, a line-in version was already done by CloudStrife1989.

Correct, but it's pretty hard to pick "recording-spots" where there isn't noise for every track in the game, not to mention that music volume lowers a bit when you pause, or some of those radio/codec conversations kick in. To put it shortly, there's reason to believe that the end-result isn't going to be much different from what's already available.
Well yes volume lowers but ambient noise is not there anymore. Why im recording clean tracks. Will post some samples.
CloudStrife did forget one song in the MGS4 gamerip which was played when you deplete vamps lifebar and he falls to the ground. It's a slight variation from the original song "Sin" but it's noticeable. He did a great job though.
