Much better than MegaUpload and Sendspace. The no cap thing is a godsend. I strongly urge anyone who uploads files to use it. The only hard part is getting your files to be less than 100MB (which didin't exist back when I first started using it)Originally Posted by Freehaven

There is quite a downside. If they find out that a user is uploading copyrighted material, they will delete ALL the content in the account. I know this first hand because they went into mine and deleted all of the VG albums I had uploaded.
Divshare isn't worth the frustration.

Rapidshare.com is still one of the better ones. I am a premium user and therefore it works to my advantage. Just such a shame there aren't many files uploaded in rapidshare..because in the long run if a user has 10,000 downloads on his account, you get 1 free premium account. That is easily attainable.

I just thought id say, Mega Upload sucks! i don't know to much about it but you have to wait like 1 minute to even start downloading the file and!! after you have downloaded it and try to download another file it says download limit exceeded and you have to wait a couple of hours to download again, i guess that problem can be avoided by purchasing a package there and thats why they do this con but fuck that.
for megaupload, u can use this technique:
go to your modem box setting & disconnect to re-connect after, that will change ur IP & that will f**k megaupload waiting (limit download per hour)!!!
& go! for unlimited download!

I discovered a neat trick for uploading on Mediafire. If you have access to a computer with practically unlimited bandwidth (for example on work or in school), you'll note that Mediafire still maxes out at approx. 300kbps. If you want to upload say 10 files you can put them in a queue and you still have to wait 3 hours to upload it all, but instead you can open a new browser window and upload each file separately, and voila, all your 10 files will be finished in 30 mins!
Ok it sounds kinda obvious but I didn't think of this until now...
It's not that simple though... If you open multiple connections you'll also decrease your speed.
Read my post again. I said this works, if you have practically unlimited bandwidth, such as on, for example, a company or school network. f ex while writing this I'm on a 100Mb/sec connection which is pretty damn fast, the only thing that slows down my up/downloads is mediafire's own limits.
Perhaps that's true; I don't have access to that kind of connection anymore. My connection is 7Mbps, and I get uploads of 500kbps or better on Mediafire, so 300Mb of files takes about 90 minutes. Except they will go and delete any file that's copyright protected with no warning until someone complains that your link won't work.
I've been so very fortunate the last four years. The school I went to has absolutely no censoring of anything at all on their computers because the security is maintained by locked hard drives instead (meaning as soon as you restart the computer, it will go back into a default state and apps you've installed/files you've saved are deleted). If I wanted to I could probably porn surf or research how to build bombs and no one would notice/care.
Nearly all the OSTs in the main Final Fantasy Download Thread that are hosted on megaupload have been taken off by megaupload for 'breach of terms of service'
I vote we boycott Megaupload!
