Hmm I cant see you saying that Vulcan, thats why the request is still being made. Megamix is discontinued now bu the team anywayso whichever is the latest version is the final soundtrack.

Good news, everyone. I've started the rip of the final version again.

Now a quick word about the OST. I've decided not to re-rip that which was already on the original 3.0 version. I also noticed that all those tracks were encoded in 192 kbps. To accommodate for my broken promise of re-ripping the old tracks, I will be re-encoding them in 320 kbps. This way you can get all the quality with none of the fuss.

I have only a few more tracks to rip, then ID tags, then sorting, and finally uploading it. Now that Mediafire is stable enough to host for me I'll host the new rip on my Mediafire account.

More good news. I might be able to rip all the songs as planned, not just re-encode them from the last version. I realized I have practically all the new songs done already so...why the hell not?

REMINDER: Once the final rip is finished there will be a NEW thread for discussion. After I release the last rip ever this thread will have no further meaning. This thread is now regarding any and all updates made to the rip.

Sorry for triple posting, but I now have the 2nd greatest news of all.

THE RIP IS FINALLY COMPLETE!

Unfortunately, I will not be able to upload it immediately. I will wait until later today (AKA tomorrow depending on time zones) to upload it. I will upload the entire rip (which is, surprisingly, 100 songs) my Mediafire account, and in the future I will upload it to Shadowhaxor.

All of this will coincide on February 10th, the release of Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection!

I didn't know their were still doing new versions of the sonic megamix last one i got was the one that has 2 michael jackson moonwalker songs on it and that sonic megamix gamerip i downloaded was back in 2009

They are not. Some of these songs were just never included.

They were working on a new update. You can look on youtube for the new version of Starry Night Zone with it's new music track specifically made for the game.
