    Ominous Latin Chanting

A friend requested that I make a playlist of all the tracks I own that contain some kind of Ominous Chanting. I figured I should share it with you guys as well, so yeah.

[Hidden link. Register to see links.]

Most if not all of the tracks are tagged correctly and all have album art. There are songs from a variety of anime and video games such as Full Metal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell, Final Fantasy XIII, Metroid Prime, Kingdom Hearts, Bleach, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and plenty of others.

Granted, some of the songs stretch the definition a bit, what with them only containing "oohs" and "aahs" instead of proper chanting, but I couldn't just leave them out. :3

So, er...I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I have.

I'm a fan of anything with latin chanting.

    And ominous things.

I feel ripped. There is barely any Latin, nor is it Ominous! Some of it is happy! Happy, how absurd! I don't want to feel good when I download a music compilation with the word "Ominous" in the title. Where is the doom and gloom? Bah humbug!

Purge the heretic, I say. With fire! Regardless of the quality of songs he put in the compilation, and the fact that I am grateful for it shall be thrown to the wind.

In any case, the track list has been added to the first post. Enjoy!

Would be too much of a stretch to assume it was named after [Hidden link. Register to see links.]? (♦WIKI WALK WARNING♦ – link leads to TVTropes)

In any case, pretty good. Yeah, some of the themes are "happy", but the rest makes uo for that.

I wish to thank you for taking the time and effort in assembling this great collection of music. This will surely bring much needed variety in the music I listen for some weeks or more.

    Excellent!

I have been assembling such a playlist of songs featuring Latin Chanting, albeit, some is not 'Ominous' and some are 'oohs' and 'ahs', but a good deal is Latin, pseudo-Latin, or other language that sounds creepy in nature.

EDIT - Please pardon my gravedigging! I was overcome with excitement over this subject over which I have so much passion. :P

I can definitely get behind themed collections like this thanks for putting the effort in and hopefully we'll see more grouped playlists in a similar vein . . .

    Excellent collection!

Especially since I'm really not into JRPGs and was able to find a few lovely pieces.

    Thanks.
