The Lossless Video Game Soundtrack Thread (Links on First Page)

Um, I'm having a problem unzipping the archives from this lossless share -

All files are stated as "corrupted" and thus, can't be opened. I've re-downloaded the files etc. still nothing...

Could someone please help? Thanks.

EDIT: My DL manager was cutting the few final MB of the download for some strange reason. Tried a different DL manager and everything worked fine.

Jdownloader seems to work alright. Don't know if it was sticking up my computer though or it was just my computer getting sticky after being on and used for a while and having windows and files open etc. I'll stick with it for a bit and see how it goes. Seems useful for now Jessie, thanks for the tip.

Far as I know there isn't an official soundtrack to Skyward Sword.. yet, only the anniversary symphony that came with the game (which I have already posted).

Fileserve is just fine, I have a premium account there that pays for itself pretty much, had minimal problems (sometimes they go down for maintainence, about it)

EDIT: Can someone recommend a good programm to get the 24 songs out of the 1 music file? (I normally use PowerISO, but it doesn't always work)

If it contains a .cue file then use the latest EAC. If memory serves my right, highlight under "tools" and click "Cue Splitter".

There is a Splitter Tool, but it only works with .wav files. But this is an .ape file. I'll try to convert it, but i don't think that would be the best solution.

There's no loss of quality in lossless->lossless conversion.

Theoretically yes, but badly written programms can have some slight qualaty drops. Or, like the programm I normaly use, forces you to choose between a excact output Bitrate.
But it just means that i now have to search for a good programm that can convert ape->wav

Not only theoretically, but also in practice. If the application changes the waveform, then it's just no "lossless->lossless conversion".

I'm gonna try it out right now. I didn't know WinRAR could do this because i normally use 7 zip and don't have winrar installed.

EDIT: Doesn't work, Fileformat is ether not supported or damaged.

Why use a proprietary application (WinRAR) when a (better) opensource tool (7zip/p7zip) is available, which furthermore features the more advanced compression algo (LZMA/LZMA2/PPMd)?

Thats actually kinda funny.. i was looking up lossless algorithm compression lol, found a few different programs

Also, looked at 7-Zip, didn't see an option to change default profile (something I use). This is so I don't have to constantly change the file size when zipping something. Also my seedbox doesn't like 7z files as it is, only rar, and from reading the site.. you can only unzip rar not create them with it. That is one reason why I do not use it. Besides its not like there is a crap ton of LZMA/2/PPMd's going around.

XD, I think you misunderstood my problem (And i missunderstood you answer).
I unpacked the folder, there are 4 files and Folder with the Covers.
1 LOG-File, 2 CUE-Files and 1 APE-File.
My Problem is that i don't know how to split the .ape file into the 24 Songs.
PowerISO doesn't always work with .ape files and EAC needs .wav Files to do it.

I thought you meant that i should use WinRAR to Split the .ape file
