Eternal Darkness and Fable bonus/"missing" tracks

Temple of Avo (Harp edition)
(Fable, XBOX)
This version of the song was suspiciously missing from the official ost; which makes no sense since it's the version you'll hear more throughout the game, and it also sounds better (IMO). A tranquil harp breaks the silence with an eerie but beautiful melody that builds up but never threatens. This song played at the Temple of Avo as well as the secret areas, and is my favorite song in the game.
(Ripped from the XBOX game, compared against an MP3 of the song to verify lossless)

OPTIONS MENU (Eternal Darkness, Gamecube)
This is the song that plays on the main game menu, and it's a chilling, subtle mix of choir, bass, and intentional vinyl pops. It was missing from the official album. I think it goes good at the end of the cd.
I also included the excellent Edgar Allan Poe snippet that Pious narrates when the game is turned on. And that goes great at the beginning of the disc.
(ripped from the Gamecube game, spectrum checked for lossless, added fade-in)

Enjoy.
Thanks Protium for the link to that review, and Antraxx for the menu music. I really should get round to buying the game.![]()
Me too. I'll have to dust-off my GC and get a copy.
Eternal Darkness is an excellent game. It was so underrated by the general population, but I think ppl are coming around to how unique it was.
If it wasn't for the cool insanity effects and the very well-told story that spans a millenium, you still have the fact that there's three different versions of the game to play through, each changing what alliance your spells derive from and changing the very types of creatures you'll fight each time.
Then there's the overall feeling of impending, hopeless dread that sinks in with every new character introduced, the creepy settings and music and unworldly creatures.
It's by far one of the best games for Gamecube, and it's one of the most ambitious entries into the survival horror genre.
It demands a sequel. Too bad Silicon knights focused on Too Human instead :\
Hey guys... this is embarrassing, but apparently I already have Skies of Arcadia in lossless. I do not remember getting this, but I'm checking it out right now.
I'll do some tests on it; if it's good to go, I'll put them up here
I really need to organize my drives better :\
Anyway I'm replacing it on my wish list with Suikoden 1's soundtrack.
I forgot to ask in my last post... does anybody have Guilty Gear Heavy Rock Tracks?
I know a version was uploaded around here in another thread, but it's no good as the archive is corrupt so I'm not looking for that one.
Thanks.
What is the cure for cancer? The cure for death itself? The answer is immortality. By creating a legacy, by living a life worth remembering you become immortal.
Does anybody have Medievil Resurrection OST?

Uploading the Dracula Battle / Perfect collection now.
Should be up here by tomorrow.![]()
snkhero... ooooooh... nice! Can we have them? Myself and Antraxx would appreciate it.
ileferru... yeah, I downloaded that one too multiple times and two different programs refuse to extract it. Is there any chance you'd be willing to put yours up?
Strange.... WinRAR 3.80 hadn't a problem dealing with it.
Anyway... there's no need for me to reupload. It's a painful process, but you can download it track-by-track here:

The Castlevania "Dracula Perfect Selection" collection
EAC | FLAC | CUE | LOG
(Dracula New Classic includes FLAC only)
~ Dracula Battle Perfect Selection ~
(1994)
A kick-ass hard-rock arrange of some of Castlevania's most titular, popular tunes. From Castelvania NES all the way up to the SEGA Genesis' Bloodlines -- even a few Gameboy remixes-- chiptunes have been totally reimagined in full blazing thrash riffs and unrelenting percussion and bass. And in the slower ballads, the guitars just sing out to you. A high octane, never dull journey through vampire country's most famous soundscape.

(1995)
One wasn't enough, fans wanted more, and Konami delivered yet again. DBPS2 focuses more on the 16-bit era of Castlevania music, but maintains the same ballistic energy as the first throughout, as well as some of the most brilliant opening hooks I've yet heard in a VG arrange album. A second helping of Castlevania III's "Beginning" is also included. There's even a beautiful piano piece in the mix.

Ever wanted to know what a converstaion between Simon belmont and Dracula would sound like in music form, literally? Well, too bad, you get it here. The infamouns "Castelvania Rap" album, DPS features several remixed Castlevania tunes -- mostly from CV III: Dracula's Curse -- and three of them just so happen to have American '90s rap vocals over them. Phrases such as "I'm gonna get you!" and "Aww yeah" are common here. Thankfully it's only three songs, the other seven are very decent remixes incorporating synth and strings. If you can get over the wholly cheesy lyrics, add this otherwise tarnished gem to your collection.

Perfect Selection Dracula ~ New Classic ~
(1992)
One of the more rare VGM albums out there, this little compilation of Castlevania arrangements from games 1-4 features a strictly new-orchestral style and instrumentation, incorporating synths as well. A very soothing, dream-like Castlevania experience. (And yes, Monster Dance is intentionally cut short by Konami)

I didn't rip Dracula New Classic myself, got it from someone at the Castlevania Corner a year ago, he was nice enough to rip the tracks for me, but as such there is no cue since I never requested one.
Don't worry though I checked all those cds in both spectrum and frequency views and they all move past 20khz. They're lossless alright. They're rolled off at about 21khz to give a darker sound, but there are no "dead" areas.
I ripped the first three albums in the list just last night BTW, and those do contain cues and logs.
