    Have to have an avatar right now?

    As most of you know the forums image database is down right now so that is why you see so many broken avatars.

    But if you upload an avatar (125x125) to photobucket and copy & paste the "direct link" url in the "Option 1 - Enter the URL" box and click "save changes" you are done.

    Seeing as how this sounds like only a temporary issue, should it get fixed when the database gets back up and working?

    My issue was same as Neg's. It refused to accept a new link from imgur so I had to upload from the computer...

    just upload your pic from your pc. never saw the reason to choose to host instead of upload.

    I tried that but the avatar would not show up, that's why I tried the offsite option and it worked.

    Though I received a scary "Upload of file failed" message, "Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer" worked as it is supposed to do actually. Hope it helps...
