Didn't Receive Activation E-mail.

I have the following problem: I forgot my password, so I used the 'forgot-password'-function and typed in the email adress from my profile(correctly, as I checked several times). I tried it several times, but more than 24 hours later I still haven't receive a mail from this forum. This is a new account, which was no problem to register(the activation mail came half an hour later). But I would like to get my old account back. Shall I wait longer or contact one of the admins?

I'm having the same problem. I had to make this new account but I'd like to be able to use my old one.

According to the registration the e-mail and name I used for my old account are still in use, but the name doesn't come up under any user search. Is there any way you guys could manually send a password reset to that e-mail?

The mail server tries to send the activation mail with an invalid mail address (The "From" in the mail is ok, but the "envelope sender" that the mail server uses is wrong):

Mails coming from non-existing domains are often rejected by the receiving mail server. This is probably the reason why people have problems receiving these mails.

I couldn't get this working on yahoo mail to save my life. Switched to GMail and it came in 2 seconds.

Can anyone help me on how to change my e-mail? When I go to "Change password/e-mail" from the CP, after putting my password, the system takes me to a list of my viewed threads and nothing where I could change my e-mail

Is this function having problems again? Two people have used the "User Report" feature recently to report that they didn't receive an activation e-mail.

If they did not get the Email then they will not be able to see that link.
It is the User CP for anyone looking at this like I was once.

Also if you only have one Email, then just change your real Email to a fake one. Then change it back to your real one. you should get it after that.

Wish I had seen this when I first registered here. Gave up on it and forgot about it, then came back recently and saw this. Thanks a lot, very helpful.

I gave up on e-mail notifications a good while back because it just got to be too much. I keep everything managed through my Control Panel - you just go there and it shows you in bold if there are any replies to threads that you've subscribed to.

Check your spam folder.
