Then again, I really liked Leviathon when I was younger.

Tonberry's abilities make him one of the most useful GF's. The fact that Eden can inflict damage over 9999 makes it the strongest GF and the rest of them (with the exception of Cactuar at level 100) are only ever capable of 9999 damage so other than each GF's respective abilities that they can offer, they're all pretty pointless for the latter of the game.

In terms of sheer 'lol' factor my favourite GF would have to be Cactaur.

well after playing final fantasy VII for the millionth time I decided to acutally go after eden and well eden is my favorite I love it's intro not to mention the fact that is incredibly powerful at lvl 100 and tonberry always thought it was funny that it just calmly walks toward your enemy and just stabs them with a knife.

If we're being realistic it's no more than about 2 minutes. Have Eden learn all four Summon Magic +%'s and have the player it's junctioned to have a decent set of magics junctioned to MAG and watch it let rip beyond 9999.

My fave GF is Diablos and Bahamut because they're cool looking!!
But for mostly battles I always use Doomtrain and Eden because of their abilities and strength..

They are all awesome in different aspects. Bahumat, traditionally, DoomTrain for cool looks. But i have to go with Alexander. I freakin love that Holy Iron Titan persona. And i know im about to make a refrence to FF IX, but that scene where Alexander whips Bahumant's sackside was awesome.

Well, after recently playing and beating FFVIII (and beating all optional bosses like Ultima and Omega Weapon) I have to say that without a doubt Doomtrain is my favorite GF in terms of usefulness. Even though Diablos could do 9999 damage my characters were already doing that. Plus Doomtrain was my new best friend when I was levelling up in the Island Closest to Hell. I would just summon him and he would inflict all kinds of status effects so I could easily beat enemies there even when I was level 30 and only with two characters (which were equipped with only Bonus abilities).
In terms of looks Bahamut will always be my favorite.

Bahamut is THE best! Primarely because of his rare item skill. But I must admit, the animations in FF9 made Bahamut`s sublime image in my head. I hope that in one of the future Final Fantasies Bahamut will have a large part in a storyline.

I remember I did a report on Odin. It was a big project with a display and everything. I got an A+ on it. I think that me displaying my Odin figure really helped.

I like him the best because he seems...powerful. And he's almost the only real "knight" because he rides on horseback.

But second would be Bahamaut.

It was about the actual Norse god and no relevance to the GF...except the figure. And yes, it was a blast. It was three pages that I taped to one of those fold out display boards with a bunch of pictures of him. One of him looking like a Viking and others that I found on yahoo and in different encyclopedias. Then right on front of the whole thing...was the GF Odin mounted on Sleipner with his sword resting at the side. I also faced his slanted his head so he was looking sideways at the ground.

And because it was a 100%, I had the option to use it for any subject I wanted (anyone who got a perfect score could do that).

Eden is my BFF. It is the only summon where I can finish the boost because it takes 3 hours to do the attack.

Anyway, i like Quetzalcoatl... Not sure why, he just looks cool.
