On Roms and emulators, I'm in my "Arcade" period of the year. playing old CPS1 and 2 and Neo Geo beat'em all, like Cadillac and Dinosaur, King of Dragons, Shadows over Mystara, Mutation Nation or metal slug. lots of metal slug. damn I love those games.
I'll probably nut a few of these for the load. I've got a few nuts in the works. Still have to polish them.

Martyrs (albeit, Canadien-French)
High Tension was a bit weird. Especially the oral sex.
Brotherhood of the Wolf (Le Pacte des loups) was a fun movie. Christoph Gans. Supposed to be a historical movie. :shrugs:

Antichrist (although English by French director) was okay. Had some really good parts but overall lagged. The trailer is superb. Especially that aria from Handel's opera, Rinaldo.

I actually don't really like High Tension much.It's alright, but just alright and it's also a little infuriating.
But Cache, Frontier(s), Malefique, Them, and especially Martyrs are all really good horror films. In My Skin too but it's so hard to watch.
Though I think Martyrs might have been made in Canada.

The problem with The Changeling is that it's been ripped off so many times since. ; ; But it's still a great movie. Really hard to find here.

Kinda slow, and a bit dopey, (especially Philip J. Fry - I mean El Brendel,) but the sets and effects are pretty cool when you realize they've only just figured how to add sound.
The rocketship and a lot of the shots were recycled into Flash Gordon three years later.

I liked Maléfique. very good movie. Can't find the soundtrack anywhere. haven't had the occasion to see Frontières yet.
As for the Brotherhood of the Wolf (or "Le Pacte des Loups" as we know it here), it's based on quite the historic enigma: the Gevaudan beast. quite a well documented enigma too. Nobody really know what happened back then in that very rural area of the center of the country. It is assumed that the beast (which nature has never really been firmly defined) has been the author of between 80 and 130-odd attacks, most of them being lethal. there are lots of theories, ranging from Werewolf attacks to a psychopath, a war dog (dogs were used as weapons, and equipped with an armor that could explain the descriptions made by the surviving victims), a hyena brought from africa, some even went as far as supposing it could be a tiger or Lion. One thing is sure, if the beast was ever killed, it was real quiet, and nothing came to dispel the official theory that wolves were the cause of the attacks.
