I used to have an SACD set up that pumped out 5.1 if the disc supported it. I got rid of it. I prefer stereo.
I have 5.1 now....
With one good ear it hardly even matters to me.
But at least the neighbors hate it.
It's good for film. Not dissing that at all. What you got should sound sweet.
But music.. no! And even worse is when you go to a friends and he has his stereo CD player hooked up to his 5.1! And it forces it to surround! NO!

I play most of my music on my computer so music rarely ever gets played on my surround system.
It did the other day because it was a music DVD though.
