Unfortunately, me neither. I only have an old tape recorded from a CD I borrowed about 16 years ago. That's the best medieval music I ever heard (very progressive style) and believe me, I never posted in that theard but I have a whole collection. It's been 20 years I'm gathering some medieval music. Even infos are hard to find about Tre Fontane, but it seems they have a MySpace since recently. Can't tell you more.

Sorry, but I don't own that one... not yet, at least.

Came out in the mid-70s. The Chicago Classical station played it over and over. If you want your holiday tantamount to an incense chapel, flickering torch light and 10th century readings, works by Chaucer... it remains THE collection of music from the period... X-mas or any other time.

Well, I just tried downloading it on two different computers (1 Mac, 1 PC) and Mediafire is still choking on the file. I know it's not my internet connection as I tried downloading one of the other files and it came through fine. Oh well, I guess I'm just not meant to have this one. :( Anyway, thanks for trying, I appreciate it.

If you've got email, PM me your address and I'll try sending it to you as an attachment, but I can't guarantee the file'll make it over to you or whether you'll be able to actually retrieve and open it. If this is acceptable to you, then proceed.

As far as I know, none of the mp3's or attachments are damaged: maybe I'll just remove the pics, but if that doesn't work... I'd rather not open up accounts on other upload sites right now, and I'm very busy with my grad thesis, but I'll make the attempt to get back to you. Again, sorry about the inconvenience: just what's wrong with the damn file!?

Estampie?

Meaning?

Phideas1
07-10-2012, 02:36 AM
Meaning you have no examples of their work here. I'm looking for a quality version of CRUSADERS. Their sound is curious. Ancient with a splattering of contemporary.., much like the highly recommended PASSAGE 138 B.C-A.D 1611 by the Empire Brass Quintet featuring Rolf Smedvig and a cameo by Mark Isham in the final, haunting track.

This is a truly amazing collection you have put together. Honestly.

I'm amazed. And also very, very grateful!

Quick update: The last disc in the collection has been 'pulled for a violation' or something of that sort. It's Morales, Cristóbal de: Missa Queramus cum pastoribus (2008).

Everything else was fine, except for 'If Love Now Reigned', which errored out, and then automatically retried and worked (so, if anyone has the same problem, just wait for it to auto-retry and that should sort it.)

thank so much for your hard work!

i was just wondering, though.. i initially came here through one of your other threads (ancient music, specifically) but then here it said that all the albums where gathered in the link at the top. Mediafire links are more rarely taken down than other upload sites, so i literally thought i was missing something.
but i guess it's just that the links got removed?

I've been replacing older MediaFire links lately. Plus, I recently lost most of the files in my computer and I'm still finding out if I can replace them with what I uploaded to MF or elsewhere. I'll get more files running eventually, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to recover all of them, particularly the ancient music files. Thank you for your patience and kind words; they keep me going.

i got my computer and all my external harddrives stolen so i know how that feels
it sucks, that's how that feels
i use mega.co.nz these days; some people have reported having had their accounts deleted for violations, but it's never happened to me, everything's safe in some server in China. i thought Mediafire was one of the better ones, but if your links keep getting deleted, you might want to check out Mega
i hope you can get back your stuff, man! i really do

Not that the existence of such a thread was highly improbable, it's just that I never imagined it and, right now, I am in mode "woah. woah. woah. woah. who(...)" So excited in front of all these treasures waiting to be listened and discovered! Thank you, this huge feeling of excitement does not happen often.
