I got to the end and fought Braska's Final Aeon. OMG I used two abillities. 10 Quick Hits, and Blitz Ace and he was dead.

AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!! I expect a final boss type difficulty and I get the difficulty of a regular fiend. Yu Yevon was harder.

Question: how hard was he for you?

Maybe you should have included more options in the poll like "I had some difficulties" or something...

Jecht was easy for me, even when I didn't spend so much time leveling up... The boss fights were way easier in this game than others (FFIX, I think has a somewhat difficultest boss cause he's too fast and powerful). Especially the last 2 bosses (or let's say 1 boss and 1 group of bosses) cause it's kinda impossible to die... Not much of a challenge but that's what Nemesis is for... And for the lucky/unlucky ones, the Dark Aeons and Penance...

I took the <s>lazy</s> quicke route, although my characters were fairly weak, I mixed Trio of 9999 using Rikku's Mix command and ended the battle in a few minutes.

First time I fought him, I had a difficult time. My team had about 5k hp each and I wasn't hitting hard. It took me a while and it required some strategy but I got through it.

After leveling like mad, I didn't realize how strong you can become. (99999 hits) I ever ended whipping Nemesis with my team.

I thought he was a good boss but he was a tad easy if you are powered up. A million hp at least plz :D

Well, somehow I beat him. I was easily able to get to his second form (where he drags the sword out of his chest) by a combination of casting slowaga and what not on the funny spinning thingys. I used a combination of aeons in overdrive, characters in overdrive, and Auron swinging his huge sword to somehow defeat the bloke...

... Now, Yu Yevon. He was easy. I liked the whole "I kill your character, oh wait, they're alive again" skill there.

Actually, it is possible to get a Game Over with Yu Yevon, but it involves giving your character Stone Strike weapons and well, anyway... topic....

The first time I fought Jecht, I lost. But I actually didn't really spend any time leveling up. The truth is, if you really spend any time doing much of anything to gain abilities or stuff like Trio of 9999, then he sucks. Seriously, this is a boss that can be killed in two moves if all your characters are maxed out. First Form: Doublecast Ultima at 99999. Or singlecast it if you want, or just attack him, he's gone. Second Form: Doublecast Ultima and gone. Obviously, the real challenge is beating the Monster Arena bosses. But, you know, I think that's really true for most FF games. It kind of was with FF8. It definitely was with FF7.

I thought he was easy, I just trashed him with the Magus Sisters.

Yah, you CAN lose... cast stone on your characters... lol

But I agree, he was much too easy, I had just over 100 strength and I beat him no problem (w/ 7k health).

In FFX, they want you to beat the game. It was easy; even if you are not even fully powered. The super moves are easy to avoid. Yeah, just a couple of hits and a little super move here and there, and you're done. And then there was Yu Yevon... it was a joke right there!!! #_#

I see, maybe for a challenge I should try to die in the fight against Yu Yevon, that olŽblob.

Anyway. All... those battles in the end were mainly fought using intense amounts of Ultima, and Bahamut. Bahamut was the only one who really fought against Jecht. It was no problem at all...

I do like easy but long final battles... :)
Of course it is nice to have a challenge, but with all the dialogues going on all the time before, after and between the FFX battles, IŽd have hated it to have to try several times.

And it is so~ nice when your game freezes during the ending movie... :notgood:

i fought him at first with just my characters and that was to hard be cause of his stupid ass overdrive. So I just whipped out Anima and wasted him with oblivion and then just kept using his attack and he died. as for yu yevon, you could just cast zombie and haste and then just not attack or anything and he'd do a nice job at killing himself. :lol lol

heheheh... it is kinda hard to die at that point.. unless you have stone... or ur characters are uber and u attack ur own people...

I don't think that'll work. Auto Life will still bring them back. Only stone will do it.

Oh yeah! *slaps head* of course! I meant if you have stone effect weapons... but even then I guess you'd have to do LESS damage than their total hitpoints...

Just enough so that his attacks don't really stand a shot of killing you. Getting Break HP limit is good. Or getting Anima or Magus Sisters should make it real easy. Or just getting any of the many things that can give you Trio of 9999. Spending a little while fighting in the Omega Dungeon helps too. Or just one run at the Don Tonberry with the AP trick should do it. Come on. The guy's beatable without any nodes filled on the Sphere Grid, summons, or customized weapons, if you're using the right strategy. (See the thread about that in this forum for more details.)

If a majority of your characters have completed their default sections of the SG and are moving on to other parts, then that's a pretty good chance to have Jecht be easy for you...
