Yet again I have a question concourning the side quests of FF9. I was wondering if anyone has completed the Eidolon Wall secret concourning Garnet's true name and status. I read about it in the Guide, yet it doesn't give any meaning or saying in how to acomplish the quest. Could anyone who has completed this side quest tell me as close as you can the secrets in going by this method of uncovering the secret? And instead of making two seperate threads I also want to know if anyone has come by the Excalibur 2 sword for Stiener... It's the most powerful weapon in the game.

Ah... the "Find Out Daggie's Real Name" secret. :) I think you have to be on disc 4 as well. Here's what you have to do:

1. Form a party with Dagger in it. Go to Madain Sari and find Lani standing at the door to Eiko's room, right below the kitchen area. Talk to her, and she'll run away.

2. Go back out to the ship and form a party with anyone except for Dagger and Amarant. Then go back into Madain Sari, and talk to Lani again. Talk to her twice.

3. Go to the Eidolon wall.

4. Now this part gets confusing. Once you walk into that area, start walking to the right. Eventually, you'll end up back at the entrance again. Then you'll hear a chime. Turn around, and keep walking to your left until you get back to the entrance and hear the chime again. Do that a total of 9 times.

5. Once you've done that nine times, you'll get a message that your HP and MP have been restored. YAY! ;)

6. Now take a walk around the wall again. Every time Zidane passes a picture on the wall, he'll get a field marker ( "!" ), and you can read a saying from each. I think it's Ifrit who reveals Dag's real name.

7. Fun, wasn't it? ;)

As far as getting the Excalibur II, yep!! Get past Lich (the last chaos guardian) in Memoria in under 12 hours. o.O Not easy by any means, and in some ways, the weapon itself isnt' exactly all-powerful, since you don't learn any abilities that you can't get elsewhere, but it's a good challenge. Give it a try! ;)

Anyone who's played FFI and remember it would get the in-joke about Garnet's true heritage revealed in that mini-quest. In fact, I had quite a chuckle when I completed that mini-quest at the Eidolon Wall myself.
