Hi there,

Hope like me you're a Blade Runner Movie's fan...I've decided to make a topic with all the Original and Bootlegs Soundtracks that i've found and/or that i own.

- Most Infos for Soundtracks and Track Lists are based on [Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

- The following Soundtracks have been ripped from LOSSLESS versions and/or be found in mp3 320 Kbps bitrate quality (only few Soundtracks are in 160-192 Kbps and no soundtracks/bootlegs will be uploaded in FLAC format)

Of course if you have some of them which are not listed here and/or in better quality, please contact me by PM to add them in this thread.

NOTE: If you're searching LOSSLESS versions of some of those soundtracks, please go to the following thread : [Only registered and activated users can see links]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Notes :

2011 started with the release of Blade Runner: EMS Recombination; a team effort to create a Blade Runner soundtrack as clean as possible, without F/X and dialogue for fans to enjoy. On its release the soundtrack was well received, spawning numerous other compilations. However the work didn't stop there.
For the lossless release, the EMS Team wanted to offer something a little different and not just repackage the original version. Changes were made to the running order and tracks were reworked as other sources were found.
Extended versions of "At Mr. Chew's" and "Desolation Path" were created along with new tracks "Waiting For Zhora" and "Memories Of Green/Blade Runner Blues". With the help of some new friends, the EMS Team are proud to present for the first time a clean version of "Thinking Of Rachel".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Comments :

Blade Runner EMS Recombination is an own attempt to create a “Best of” soundtrack from all the available bootlegs of Vangelis’ superb score.
The selection criteria was very simple: find the pieces that represented the film score in their cleanest (without dialogue and sfx as much as was possible) versions and be of the best available sound quality. It kept most of the titles of the source tracks only changing a few as some had some obscure titles not immediately obvious to the wider audience.
I hope you enjoy listening as much as I did while making this compilation.

Blade Runner - EMS Recombination - The Japanese Tracks (VBR-V0) ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Notes :

Some of the tracks presented here are essentially (re)assemblages of elements buried in the official view/mix of the movie, enhanced for the listener with soundtrack, audio effects and narration to place the cues in their cinematic context; the flute music and percussion piece being an extreme example of this more cinematic approach to the soundtrack. The rest of the tracks were remixed from the original audio streams to add extra aural details on the japanese cues. There might be some debate as to whether some of this is part of Vangelis' original compositions for the movie, or just someone else's creation. A couple of cues were finally uncovered and included here, thanks to the input of 1187hunterwasser and Kazushi Kimura of the Blade Runner fan network. The rest are part of an ongoing search, which one day may come to a conclusion and expand the Blade Runner soundtrack catalogue further.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Comments :

One of the aspects of the multicultural melting pot portrayed in Blade Runner was the influence of far eastern culture in the daily life of 2019 Los Angeles. From the Chinese food vendors of the White Dragon noodle bar, through the Cambodian sales lady on Animoid Row, right up to the Shimata Dominguez Corporation sponsorship of the off world colonies. Pervading all of this was the music of the far east, whether blaring out from an animated billboard or drifting down from on high from the ever present advertising blimp. Of the pieces played, “Ogi No mato” is the most widely known among the fans, in a mainly truncated version. There were other pieces played and not always as conspicuous. Last year when one of the tracks was identified through the fan network as “Chidori no Kyoku”, the EMS team members began a search of various sources to identify which version of this track was used.
The most likely candidate was a performance by Michio Miyagi. The second step was to review the film and find when the music was played. The track in an excerpted form turned up in the background music playing during the scene with Deckard waiting for a seat at the White Dragon. Layered with other music including “Ogi No Mato”, identifying whether the Miyagi version was the correct one came down to a blind audio test between B5hm, who noted where the excerpt in the film corresponded exactly to the part of the Miyagi track, and DC. When DC independently identified the same part, they both concluded apart from a slight alteration in pitch, this was the correct version. DC began the time consuming process of transferring the track from vinyl to digital media and cleaning the track up, removing over 14,000 audio defects to present the track in its fullest and cleanest version here.
The search still goes on for the alternate blimp track heard as it passes over the Bradbury and during the scene as Deckard hangs from the side of the Bradbury. B5hm’s Japanese source could only identify two words “hito me” literally translates as “person’s eye”....

The EMS Team present here cues taken from the different versions of Blade Runner including previously unreleased flute music and percussion piece.
These pieces were heard in the background during the sushi bar sequence and are presented here for the first time.

Hi, There are so many versions that I need some help to find the most representative, i.e. with the less uninteresting material as you can often find in expanded or bootleg scores.
Which one should I get ? Thanks in advance

I personally like Blade Runner - The Final Mix. It contains just the film score, no dialogue or annoying sound effects. It uses the Blade Runner Trilogy release as a base. So it sounds crystal clear in that respect. Now it does not contain all the little incidental score pieces, minor as those my be, but it does offer a real taste for the soundtrack. The tracks flow seamlessly into one another and I believe it covers everything, features all the major themes and I find it most satisfying as a listening experience.

One point, the only thing I did change was the track names. I used the real title names as shown on the Blade Runner Trilogy. I believe it looks more authentic that way. Just my personal choice and I can post the track names if needed.

Well done, thank you very much.

For years the only blade runner soundtrack was the orchestra version which pissed a lot of people off. It wasn't until 1994 that we finally got the original vangelis version, which now there's so much to chose from.

Thanks for the tip. It's nice having all the versions available, but I'm just after the basic soundtrack.

Could someone go over which of these lack sound effects? (Or at least, minimal - none of that 'listening experience' jack, I just want the music).

Anyone has also noticed that problem? Could anyone re-upload those 4 tracks, please?

I'm a Newbie here and would like to say THANKS for posting these Awesome Boots. I have most of these in original CD issues. I very grateful for the 2019 Edition, as there are some Really Clean cues that have never been issued on previous bootlegs until now.

I seem to be having a problem with Esper Edition CD2, Track 25. I have encountered a CRC error. Would there be any chance of just uploading that track Please?

Thanks in Advance! : )

P.S. I'm a regular on another forum, FranklyYes, related to film soundtracks. If any one here is interested in finding hard to find, LP / CD rips, or New releases (in 320k average including artwork)...

The End Titles on 2019 Edition is the very same version that features on the official Blade Runner soundtrack album of 1994, aka the first CD of the Blade Runner Trilogy of 2007.

I love this version, too, but Vangelis remixed it minus some variations heard in the middle of the original 7-minute version.

My favourite great version of this track is that on the "Odyssey" compilation of 2003, remixed by Vangelis himself - so not just a bootleger's fantasy. It's basically the same mix but it includes a few bars from the original mid-track variation at the end, and it sounds wonderfully.

Of course, it would be even better to see the full 7-min version released someday in high quality from the master tapes!

The original 94 soundtrack for the end titles is still not the theatrical edit where it intergrates Rachel Sleeps and Escape(a reprise of the love theme) together with the end titles. I'm surprised to find the 2019 edition to have this version of the track(great quality) that perfectly matches the theatrical cut of the film. The only setback is that the track is corrupted.

I personally like Blade Runner - The Final Mix. It contains just the film score, no dialogue or annoying sound effects.

Oh I see what you mean TGWTG.
Yes this particular mix makes sense on the 2019 Edition as it's subtitled "Complete Theatrical Score To The Motion Picture".

However just wanted to say that this mix is very likely to have been sourced and remixed from the official Warner/Universal releases of 1994/2007, not from some new source.

Hi Shadow1, it depends on what you're looking for, but if you want the unreleased music in the best sound quality available with as less sound effects as possible, none of these bootlegs are 100% satisfactory.

IMHO the best BR bootleg tracklist (made only of material that is NOT in the official Blade Runner 3-CD) would be as follows, in terms of sound quality, completeness (clean starts and ends), and absence of sound effects:

01. PROLOGUE AND MAIN TITLES: From "2019 Edition" (No soundFX)
02. LEON'S VOIGHT KAMPF TEST: From "The Sound Of Blade Runner" (No soundFX, contains the "gated synth" version but also the full atonal cue that can be heard during Leon's VK test and in the deleted scene of Deckard's visit to Leon's Room)
03. SPINNER ASCENT (aka the last part of MAIN TITLES on the official album, but with clean start + end): From "2019 Edition" or "Outtakes", (No soundFX)
04. DECKARD MEETS RACHEL: From "2019 Edition" or "Outtakes" (No soundFX)
05. TALES OF THE FUTURE (Alternate Version): From "Outtakes" (Different version than the official soundtrack, contains an additional verse with different lyrics and melody, no soundFX)
06. BLADE RUNNER BLUES (Full-Length Version): From "Esper Edition MK2" (not MR3, which strangely sounds less good) or "Blade Runner 2008" (Most bootlegs use a mix between the official soundtrack album (the first 8"30) and the OffWorld 2000 (the last 1"20). Sounds a bit weird but better than the full versions from OffWorld or Gongo. Unfortunately "Esper" and "BR 2008" have it mixed into the next track, therefore destroying the nice clean end that can be heard only in Gongo and OffWorld bootlegs, but in medium sound quality. What a story this one!)
07. PRIS MEETS JF SEBASTIAN aka I'M HUNGRY JF: From "2019 Edition" (No soundFX, except for a couple of seconds at the start)
08. DECKARD'S DREAM: From "Esper MK2" or "MR3" (Contains some soft sounds from the movie, but artificially added neighing like in some other bootlegs)
09. LOVE THEME (Alternate Take) aka THINKING OF RACHEL aka PIANO MEMORIES: From "2019 Edition" (Contains some sounds from the movie, but less than in the "Esper" editions)
10. ANIMOID ROW aka ABDUL BEN HASSAN: From "Blade Runner 2008" or "2019 Edition" (The BR2008 contains some sound effects but it includes the oriental-like CS80 solo at the start, while the "2019" version has no sound effects, but the solo at the start is lost, being mixed into "Tales Of The Future", and sound quality is less good).
11. TAFFEY LEWIS NIGHT CLUB: From "2019 Edition" (No soundFX)
12. SALOME'S DANCE: From "Outtakes" (Longer than on "2019", clean end. No soundFX)
13. I AM THE BUSINESS: From "2019 Edition" (No sound FX)
14. PRELUDE TO "LOVE THEME" aka I DREAMT MUSIC (Part 1): From "The Sound Of Blade Runner", CD2, track 11, only the first 2"18! (This is the cue heard just before the well-known LOVE THEME (in theatrical and Final Cut releases) or DESOLATION PATH (in the workprint version) of the movie. However this version is an earlier take of this cue because it doesn't features the Rhodes electric piano overdub that can be heard in the movie (all versions!) and all other bootlegs. That said, the remaining of the track in "The Sound Of Blade Runner" is not that great because it was taken from the workprint version of the movie, and (roughly) edited at some places to skip Rachel's dialogue.)
15. DESOLATION PATH aka I DREAMT MUSIC (Part 2): From "Outtakes" (There are two separate excerpts from the original track which clearly come from a different version than the one featuring on Blade Runner Trilogy's CD 2. Clean end. No soundFX)
16. MORNING AT THE BRADBURY: From "2019 Edition" (Much longer than on "Esper" editions. Clean start + end, no soundFX)
17. THE PRODIGAL SON RETURNS aka THE PRODIGAL SON BRINGS DEATH (PRELUDE): From "2019 Edition" (No soundFX)
18. DR. TYRELL'S DEATH (Alternate version): From the 5-DVD Ultimate Edition set, Deleted Scene on disc 4 (Not to be omitted, a very different, instrumental version of this track which, IMHO, is the final part of the full-length version. Of course, it has some soundFX.)
19. DECKARD ENTERS THE BRADBURY aka BRADBURY APARTMENTS: From "2019 Edition" (Contains some soundFX like the searchlights woosh but strangely less than in the movie).
20. THROUGH RAIN AND SNOW: From "2019 Edition" (No soundFX)
21. DANGEROUS DAYS: From "Esper MK2" or "MR3" (No soundFX)
22. DECKARD AND ROY'S DUEL (Extended version) aka WOUNDED ANIMALS: From "Esper MK2" or "MR3" (No soundFX)
23. END TITLES: From "Odyssey - The Definitive Collection", a Vangelis compilation of 2003 (Remixed by Vangelis himself I think it's the best summary of the many versions of this track that exist: the full-length 7-min (but badly sounding) version from OffWorld and Gongo with its nice mid-track variations (also available in great sound quality on Vangelis' compilation "Themes" but unfortunately in shortened form), the US and International Theatrical Releases end titles (with their messed-up mixing at the end if you listen carefully), yet another mix for the Director's Cut (with a newly mixed end), and the official 1994/2007 soundtrack version (slightly shorter than the "Odyssey" mix which contains bits of the mid-track variation!). Btw "Esper" has tried to remix the 7-min track from these various sources but honestly it doesn't sounds that great). Phew.
24. As a bonus track, I would add MAIN TITLES from "Outtakes", which has a different start because it doesn't emerge from the Prologue.
25. For completeness, I would add, as second bonus track, the other version of PRELUDE TO "LOVE THEME" aka I DREAMT MUSIC (Part 1) - the one WITH the Rhodes piano overdub - from either "Esper MK2" or "MR3", or simply from the Workprint version (Disc 5 of the Ultimate Edition 5-DVD set) which sounds great, but includes a few sound effects like distant thunder and Rachel saying just one word: "Deckard!").

Well, once again that's just how I would put it together, knowing it would probably not be at everyone's taste.

Sorry it's a bit long, but anyway I hope it helps!

Would you like, I compare them into one CD? I have all of those bootlegs in lossless (exept "Outtakes" - only in mp3).

Hi Zero_flyer,

Thanks, but honestly the only BR Super-OST I'm really dreaming of is an official release of the above mentioned, however as full-length tracks, remastered from the mastertapes in glorious sound quality - like it already happened (although partially) in 2007 with the BR Trilogy, which I personally love very much.

Come on, Mr Papathanassiou, shouldn't be such a big deal, now that you've even been given the track listing for free. ;-)

The only Blade Runner Super-OST at the moment is the Ultra comprehensive 6CDs Retirement Edition. It doesn't get any more complete than that.

Yes TGWTG I do agree, but this bootleg has a lot of material taken from the Blade Runner Trilogy.

I was just listing the music that is NOT in the Trilogy (or at least not in its complete form), to answer Shadow1's question. Of course it suggests you have to own the Trilogy if you want to achieve completeness.

I see. Though in its incomplete form, the 25th Anniversary Blade Runner Trilogy soundtrack is awesome on its own. The only downside is that it featured mostly music by Vangelis.

"If you‹re persuing this disc in order to hear Vangelis music‚ you willbe sorely dissapointed. This disc is tailor made for die-hard BladeRunner fans‚ and not necessarily Vangelis fans. It contains a radiospecial about Blade Runner and the evolution of detective in fiction. The program itself is cheezy in its narration and doesn‹t spend as muchtime as it should talking about Blade Runner itself. On the otherhand‚ it does contain some very interesting impressions of the film byway of Harrison Ford and Sean Young. Vangelis himself also shares someimpressions regarding his score‚ but the segment is entirely too brief.Vangelis music is heard in the background throughout most of the disc‚but there‹s nothing we haven‹t heard before. There are some pop songsplaced here and there as well. In general‚ a very contrived programthat will only tickle the fancy of Blade Runner fanatics."

roycommi thanks for MK2 edition, but is this one = really comes from 'Esper Group'??

Under spoiler - their protest to this release, taken from anunna.net

STATEMENT FROM (THE REAL) ESPER PRODUCTIONS

In light of the sheer amount of "Esper" discs (i.e. "Esper Edition" and L.A‚ 2019) being sold on the internet over the past few years and with the emergence of new bootlegs claiming to be "Esper Productions‚" we wanted to take this opportunity to officially clarify that any vendor claiming to be‚ or selling on behalf of "Esper Productions" has absolutely nothing to do with the original people involved. These rip-off merchants have quite simply‚ stolen our "label."

The "Esper Edition" was made by two Vangelis/BR fans. Both of us would like to remain anonymous for obvious reasons. The intention of this private release was to give "our take" or interpretation of what the Blade Runner soundtrack should be. -that’s it.- The fact that these bootleggers have appropriated the discs and label name and started selling them on various websites‚ ebay‚ etc‚ is indeed regrettable. We’re totally against the idea of lucrative gain being derived from these kinds of fan projects. Moreover‚ let me further clarify that neither of us have ever made a single cent off this effort.

We made a total of ten original copies: five for each of us. We then distributed them to friends in the Vangelis circle. Among them‚ is Antas who has been gracious enough to let us publish this note on his site. Why only ten? It was always meant to be a homemade project.

Since‚ the "Esper Edition" has surprisingly become "stuff of legend" in many Blade Runner circles‚ mentioned on many webpages all over the internet. While secretly very flattered- we’d also like to take this moment to "de-mystify" the release.

Why did we make it? Basically‚ we were sick of so many BR bootlegs floating around that never "got it right" in terms of chronology‚ or thoroughness. They all had something unique to them‚ but there were always oversights. So‚ like taking pieces from a puzzle‚ we decided to simply "cut and paste" from all the exiting releases (official‚ bootlegs‚ private releases‚ etc)‚ 1982 video‚ 1992 directors cut and construct something fresh. We paid close attention to chronologically follow the sequences from the film. Although not agreeing at first‚ we finally decided it would be best to have the tracks flow into one another‚ as a sort of BR suite. We originally wanted to make the discs just for our enjoyment‚ but we thought it would be neat to come up with artwork and make it a "private release" for our friends. That’s all.

As for the follow-up‚ "L.A. 2019‚" we wanted to make an "ambience" cd that transported the listener to the world of Blade Runner. The sound effects are almost entirely from the BR game‚ with Vangelis stuff layered in the back. We inserted "Reve" and an unused piece from "The Bounty" as well‚ because they both fitted the mood very well.
Why the name "Esper Productions?" We thought a logo of the Esper machine would make an original pseudo trademark. Hence the name.

Lastly‚ let us stress that our intention was always to make this a project by fans for fans. It was created out of love for Vangelis’ music‚ not money. Having said this‚ if other fans want to further the "Esper" concept by adding‚ re-editing or using our "work" to get a different result‚ that’s fine -provided that they do not use the name “Esper Productions‚” which has been ripped-off just to cash-in.

Well, not sure if a bunch of non-existent bootleg companies like the "Esper Productions" can even make an official protest like that since the music materials is pretty much illegal at the 1st place and they should expect people would do that. I've made several bootlegs myself in the past just for friends and colleagues and what the want to do with it( like selling in e-bay or earning cash)is none of my concern. I'm happy to have made the bootlegs just for my own( and everyone else') satisfaction. If the "original" Esper Productions" is so pissed off about it, there's always alternative like not using the Esper name and go for something like this:

JacKc - The news here is mixed.

Blade Runner - 2008 / Disc II
08. Deckard Enters the Bradbury
14. End Titles

IZArc crashes at Track 8 when attempting to extract this file, so no luck there.

7zip reports the following error message:
CRC failed in "Disc II\08. Deckard Enters the Bradbury.mp3". File is broken.
CRC failed in "Disc II\14. End Titles.mp3". File is broken.

Yet, the files do appear to extract with 7zip and will play.

Zipeg, another freebie, also fails at track 8.

So, three out of four isn't good.

Anybody have a mirror for that 2019 Edition?
Mediafire just wont work with me. :P
What works for you then? Megaupload, Rapidshare?

Another Esper 'Retirement' Edition front cover design by me:

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

Design info:
This cover is based off the original soundtrack cover. I used both the original and alternate artwork and merge them together. Replaced Rachel's head with one from the promotional photos since I never liked that cartoonish looking Rachel portrait on the original poster. Adjusted the contrast hue and color to match the art. Deckard's head is from the alternate poster art while the bottom half is from the original poster. Additional info added to the list of composers with [a redesigned] Esper Productions logo acknowledged.

Well, either way works, just Mediafire which keeps jerking me around.

Megaupload would be nice. :)

Just noticed I've got something called "10 tracks from the master tapes" in flac, as described on the bladerunner2019.com site (though I'm pretty sure I didn't get it from there). Pretty good sound quality and fx free to my knowledge. I can upload it if anybody's interested.

Apologies. Getting rid of the links now and reuploading them in MP3 format. :)

ps. sorry, guys. Out of respect for the Jackc and the BR soundtrack community, you'll probably be getting only MP3 versions from now on.(If there's any consolation, at least I'll reupload them in 320kbps)

Very sorry to find that you have deleted your links to the lossless editions of your uploads.

I really don 't think that bootleggers that sell silvers care about whether a recording is Flac or MP3. They are only in it for the money.

To TGWTG: i know this is my first post here and I've got no business asking any favors being such a newb on this forum... but I'd like to respectfully beg for the links to the FLAC versions of your recent posts. As Jager said, bootleggers don't really care about the source before selling their stuff... and... isn't it highly likely that your FLAC files are already in the hands of those making "for sale" boots? I mean, you had to get them from somewhere, right? :-) Thanks.

Thanks to all of you guys that have been contributing here, especially JacKc. And, yes, I'm looking far and wide for the Esper Retirement Edition.

I do agree with your points. Bootleggers can use MP3 formats and duplicate fake covers and sell them. There's no guarantee that the greedy bootleggers doesn't have them already from other sources. But this is Jackc's thread and he started the whole thing here afterall so i have to respect his decision. If you guys really want the edict removed, you should at least discuss with the op of the thread.

Hi Guys. I really appreciate all the posts so far i love this music. All my stuff is posted in lossless. If someones gonna sell something they download, mp3 aint gonna stop em. Conversely, those of us who really love this soundtrack and have wanted to find more and more music (for over the past decade in my case) are kinda screwed to get the ultimate audio experience. Its nice to be able to grab some flacs and burn your own audio cd and listen to it with the headphones on.

Everything i post will be in lossless if i have it. Id urge the rest of the community to do the same.

Hi all,

I have clearly said in the first post i will share some BR Bootlegs i've found in MP3 Format and 320 KBPS when possible...Now i could understand some of you want them in FLAC Format.

But as some of thoses bootlegs are very hard to find, are very expensive, and to respect wishes from some bootlegs owners who graciously shared them, i won't upload any of them in FLAC Format.

Now if you really want them in lossless quality, i suggest you, like me, to search them on private group, to use google and/or to search for some torrents.

Best regards,

JacKc.

PS: I don't say to TGWTG to not share them in FLAC Format. It's his own decision and he has decided to respect my point of view, that's all.

Oh hey, I thought I'd preview a cover design I'm working on. Thought I'd use the same template for pretty much all the different main BR-soundtracks I know of, to give them a bit more of a uniform look (inspired by that awesome 5-disc collector's edition DVD I've got ;)). Pointers/suggestions?

Yeah, I have this collection set too - buy from Amazon.com and I too think about some kind of "universal jacet" Could assist if you want.
We also could create something like "special booklet" for all collection, with the story about creation of the score and about major bootlegs to it. That'll be outstanding!

Hi Rob the Great, nice work, congratulations! Your rendition is my favourite alternate BR artwork so far!

Coincidentally I had fun working on a somewhat similar design some time ago. I was dreaming of a 2-CD set that would contain all the unreleased BR music to complement the BR Trilogy and the 5-DVD set.

I'd be happy to show it here but this thread denies me any attachment upload, even a smallish jpeg of 100 Kb is said to be "exceeding quota by 51 Kb", although my attachment folder is empty...

Blade Runner Bootleg Soundtrack

I N F O :

Disc One is a Highbrid of 2 different Bootleg CDs
published in the 1990's which featured actual
Music Cues used on the workprints of Blade Runner
in its original form.
Often, composers do not release the entire score
when it features works by musicians other than themselves.
Blade Runner is one such case, where the "proper" score
has never been fully released.

Disc Two is the "Blade Runner Suite".
This name was assigned by the editting staff at Warner Brothers
This cut of Music Cues by Vangelis comes straight
from the vaults at the highest level, and features yet unheard
"outtakes" and compositions which were written circa 1981 for the
Legendary Film.

Roughly 20 CDs worth of "rough-cut" music from the Vangelis
Score are floating around.
Keep an eye out.
;)

PLEASE, KEEP THIS FILE SHARED -- SPREAD THE JOY!

I'm afraid no. This is the only version I have... 256 VBR ... not too bad for a tape tranfer I believe :)

This are the ones I found floating around. Yes I do have all the ones I mentioned in the previous posts. If you think they might be of some interest I will try to upload them. Let me know if you wish me to use a particular server for the purpose.

Yes, the OWM 2000 version I am having is the one encoded at 160 CBR without the bonus disc.

I might have something more... but I need to look better.

Blade Runner Suite - Outtakes & Soundtrack (Bootlegs Edit)

The name Blade Runner Suite was assigned by the editing staff at Warner Brothers.
This cut of music cues by Vangelis features unheard "outtakes" and compositions which were written circa 1981 for Blade Runner.

Roughly 20 CDs worth of "rough-cut" music from the Vangelis score might exist.

Credits to Taffy Lewis.

The Bootlegs Edit of the soundtrack is an hybrid of 2 different Bootleg CDs published in the 1990's which featured actual music cues used on the workprints of Blade Runner in its original form. Off World and Gongo most likely.

I am uploading it as I got it off the ed2k network as released on [Only registered and activated users can see links] where most of the Blade Runner bootlegs started getting into mainstream at the time. Newsgroups were a different kind of fashion.

No change in hashset if you wish to keep sharing it with the emule client. Append a txt file if you feel you have to modify something in the archive content please. Doubling the same content only makes it twice slower.

To JacKc: You might want to add the link --or the part you feel more relevant to the thread (The Blade Runner Suite)-- mirroring it in the first page so not to have all the links scattered through the pages.

I am in the process of uploading some other Blade Runner Soundtracks that does not seem to be here. I am using mediafire but file links keeps disappearing after I refresh the files list somehow...

Comments :

This CD has the same tracks as the Blade Runner soundtrack from Off World
Music, 1993. However, the last track is different: it looks similar to the
one that ** may ** be on the private release.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notes :

Special Edition - Promo Only - Not for resale.
Actually a bootleg, not a promo, "Radio 1 Hannover" does not exist.
A bootleg label - There is no such radio station that goes by this name.
Often sourced from MP3s. Actual location unknown.
Picture on the cd label is the same used for the PRO-4152105 release, 1997.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PS: It was brought to my attention that the archive might have some CRC problems on Track 11. I will re-upload the archive, but in the meantime when you get the CRC error message use the repair archive function of WinRar. It works. Sometime Mediafire is not really great at handling file tranfers I'm afraid. I always make sure to add those extra bytes for the recovering hopefully :)

PS2: I tried to re-upload the archive several times and everytime getting CRC errors when re-downloading it off Mediafire. So I uploaded only Track 11. Here's a link as Mac users might not be able to use WinRar.

With best regards,

Blade Runner Nexus 6 Vol.1 is in fact the 1993 Off World Version and vol.2 the Gongo Version (exactly the same tracklists). They are the same bootlegs but with new home-made covers by a fan and then rename as Nexus 6 Vol.1 & 2...

I... just cannot get a grip on Mediafire it seems... I am currently uploading part 2 of the 2nd post... It seems Mediafire does not like much 200 mb files so I had to split it in two parts.

By the way: in order to extract the content of a split archive you need to download all the corresponding parts and keep them in the same directory when decompressing it :)

The links seems to work with my download manager and the usual copy & paste link in a new window...

To JacKc: I'll be setting the files to public when finished. Sorry about that...

Sending a PM with the links as well... just in case :)

To Zero_flyer: No, I'm afraid that's all I have that is missing in this thread...

Revel in your time...

That's Tyrell to Roy Batty!

Yeah, it does sound different compared to the versions on previous private releases. Someone at the movie authoring department of the 25th anniversary reissue might have leaked out the bits you can hear on this release, as it already was the case with the original Offworld bootleg.

It amazes me how the people having bought either the Box Set version or the Boxed Deluxe version aren't willing to part with their buyings and go public... Too bad it isn't avaliable as yet... That's all I have for the time being.

:cryingbatman:

Welcome to the thread to the new batpeer Xchullit :)

You might have come back all the way back from page 22 of this thread to ask for a re-upload! Do you? :)

Can you send the entire 6th disc please? :D Mostly interested in it's UNKLE edits that's on the disc

I'm afraid I do not have the dvd yet. I am currently being sent disc 3... the guy should be on a modem since it takes ages to download off his ftp.

I might have the UNKLE cd if that might help. Sending a PM with a link to that...

Enjoy everybody anyway :)

No. It's not. For a start it does sound clearer and has the channels swapped.
Its duration is about 30 seconds less than the previous versions though.
I'll be uploading cd3 as soon as possible :)

Notes :

This is the "L.A. 2019" re-released disc on the Esper Retirement version. It sounds remastered compared to the previous editions. It's the last disc I am posting off the limited series of five audio Cd's plus a bonus data Dvd containing music by other artists that were influenced by the film.
You should be able to find most of it on p2p networks anyway.
The person who sent this doesn't have the full dvd release (apart from the 4 trailers) I'm afraid.
I could probably be able to supply most of the material on it since the tracklist can be found on Discogs, but it's time for someone else to do that properly perhaps :)

That's all Folks!

Notes :

Italian radio play based on the novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick.
Aired on December 2003 with the Blade Runner music by Vangelis as score to top the atmosphere of a play that stands in between the movie adaptation and the novel that the movie was based on.
A very good adaptation by italian screenplayer Armando Traverso and dubbed by the same voice used for Deckard in the italian version of the movie among the others. If you can understand italian you will not be disappointed.
It was posted on various boards but all the relative infos seems to have gone lost unfortunately. This has all the relevant infos that it should have had in the first place. A custom cover and a more proper tagging along with the original notes appended to the archive (italian language only I'm afraid) :)
If you are going to leave something to the peers coming after you always make sure to take care of the historic references. It does make a difference for everybody.

I made edits of the two Blade Runner UNKLE remixes.
Really a nice job! Thanks for sharing the interesting bits off the UNKLE Cd's :)
I think he might have used the Gongo version for the End Titles remix though.
And the Roy Batty's Tears In Rain monologue mixed into Memoires Of Green is pretty wicked!

Memoires vol 4 - Bitter Moon + Blade Runner

1-13 Bitter Moon Suite (42:03)
14-20 Blade Runner Suite (26:19)

You have the tracks 14 to 20 and front/back cover?

I think I am having the original version that got re-encoded at higher bit rates and with the proper version of the first track that subsequent re-packagings had swapped with track 2 after the initial seconds of the song. No covers I'm afraid.
Cannot be 100% sure about that, but out of all the 10 versions I'm having this is the one with less artifacts. A few clicks on Love Theme caused from a fast or poor encode I'm afraid, but the overall quality is quite good. Have a listen at the bass response of Vangelis's keyboards. The sound engineer has done a good job. Too bad the low bit rate used has weakened that.
Perhaps a bit too low in volume, but that is how was intended to be perhaps. :)

Has anyone ever bothered to compare all the soundtracks among each other and compare them to the in-movie music, sort it chronologically, depict which tracks are unused or variations and so on?

None of it compare fully to the in-movie music I'm afraid. There are a few bits missing in each other. The Esper Retirement Edition or the MR3 Edition seems to be pretty close to it though :)

Confirm, is a compilation from various bootlegs in low various bitrate.

Yes, I noticed that. I was thinking that perhaps the person downloading it in the first place, just finished off to download the remaining bits from other Soulseek users as it usually happens when the other peer unplugs his upload right when someone needs only a handful of bytes to finish the last song of a whole album, hence the various bitrates.

Thanks for the confirmation :)

I eventually have obtained the BG 589 Edition off a die-hard Vangelis collector. Uploading it in the weekend :)

I think the Blade Runner - Ultimate Soundtrack is worth a listen. Uploading that as well. It just annoy me not being able to add the relevant infos about it.

I am currently working on the songs included on the Blade Runner Suite uploaded off the ed2k network. The quality for a tape transfer is pretty good. It contains the early version that ended up as "Desolation Path" on cd2 of the BR Trilogy (the first part of it is known as "I Dreamt Music" on previous bootlegs). I never realized that actually.
While I was trying to restore the 1982 10 tracks cassette tape uploaded here for my personal backup (and they are not sounding very bad) I came up with the idea of collecting all the song on a single release. They are all cassette tranfers Vangelis himself might have gave out to friends and producers of the films at the time, so it might be interesting having them all together :)

Anyone up for an official cover? I am not that good at graphics.

Send a PM if you wish :)

kirkenshrir,

I know i didn't say specifically not to share the links on other sites but you could have PM'ed me to ask if i minded, that's just common courtesy.

I was thinking of posting it here anyway, i just wish it was my decision not yours.

By the way the links are still there on originaltrilogy, just hidden in plain view, anyone who PM'ed me would know that.

All the mediafire links to the aforementioned release were deleted files from account because reported to their abuse department. The rest of the files seems to be still there...

"The files are showing that they have been deleted from our servers. If you have not done so, if they violated our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, and were reported to our abuse department for any of those violations, they would have been removed from our servers."
"This would still occur if you were to have a premium account."

---Game Over---

It is still currently being shared on the ed2k network where any son of unknown-father and known-mother can act as silly as he might be...

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

Feel free to mirror them back if you wish to help others with the share. However, a better encode is avaliable on other forums, even if in a different form.
It appears to have different track durations for example, even if the audio content seems to be the same.

This edition, however, though more correct than any which preceded it, appears to contain the same versions (including same artifacts) as featured on the Blade Runner 2001 Version. The Esper Edition just blended one into the other. Who's ripping off who then?

... again, the rest is something that this and other releases are still trying to fix down with mixed results until the composer itself will decide to do so.
This ‘what if’ edition, however, appears to be as clever and sound wise as an official one. Some people with hats who wish to remain anonymous and are responsible for the “Silver & Moments” web release of the score, (which the music on this edition was taken from with some omissions) delivered this witty vision of what might have been back in 1982, (2010 actually), putting into shape what Polydor/PolyGram Records might have taken care of if Vangelis would have agreed to the possibility of having the music he wrote for the movie on vynil at the time.
At some point the label seemed eager to do that, but the score would not appear until 1994, when East West/Atlantic was licensed to publish only a ‘trimmed down version’ of the soundtrack at last.
The sound quality of this release, given the sources, is pretty outstanding for a start.
Grey Fedora has managed to hit the nail in the proper way.
These guys have a fine taste to do things as they should be done and are kind enough to share their team efforts.

Comments :

Another fan-made compilation and not necessarily a bad one.
This time a more cinematic cut in the Deck Art 765 vein, but without sound effects.
Edited by someone someplace (perhaps) in UK who's getting all the credits for this private release under the Nas moniker.
No, not the God's Son. That's United States. No, it just can't be...
Not really much infos provided except the note posted with this rarity at the Yahoo! Blade Runner Soundtrack Group.
Artwork included. Both originals and alternate ones re-designed by JackC.

“It sounds a bit like an early prototype for the "2019" version as it has the same ending track (or similar).”

BG 589 version (Alternate Deluxe cover 2.ver. Remastered) :D
my re-edit :)

I quite like the re-edit :)

Three more releases to go... but I'd rather posting them in one go.
I just need to be around a bit more for the listening tests :)

Known as:
- Special Edition
- Deck Music Version
- The Japanese Edition
- Memoirs Vol. 7

Year: 1999
Label: Deck Music (Japan)

This release is a re-edited, re-mastered version of "Memoirs Vol. 5," with a few noticeable exceptions. It contains an alternate version of Rachel playing the piano (minor key instead of major). This particular piece is remarkable, since this piece of music existed only in the workprint. Als a segue into "Rachel’s Song" at the point in the soundtrack where Rachel is beginning her Voigt-Kampff interview is presented. The sound quality is said to be the best among all bootlegs.

Does anybody know where I can find this gem?

Does anybody know where I can find this gem?

You might want to check on [Only registered and activated users can see links]
but the release you are looking for should be the same (with less tracks) as in
Blade Runner - Deck Definitive Edition

...this release is virtually identical to its predecessor‚ Deck Music (a.k.a Memoires 7)... This release is a supposed re-mastered version of the Deck Music release. I have listened closely with headphones and there is a slight improvement in terms of sound over the Deck Music release‚ although the difference is minimal‚ at best. This new release also has a few extras not present on its predecessor: The full version of the "alternate Love Theme" from the Blade Runner work print (as heard on Themes II). However‚ more interestingly‚ it has the alternate John Williams temp music for Batty's Tears in Rain monologue. The last track is and audio version of the film's trailer.

Both "Blade Runner - Director's Cut version - Memoires vol 5" and "Blade Runner - Deck Definitive Edition" are avaliable on this thread... the latter can also be found on the lossless thread I believe :)

And yes... it does sound really good!

Hi everybody.
I have a couple of issues regarding the Westwood edition posted here and there around the web.
So far (according to the tracks I am having) I came to the following tracklist:

01 - Main Titles
02 - Etsuko Theme a.k.a. Geishan Echoes
03 - Battle Theme a.k.a. Running Along The Blade a.k.a. Anticipation
04 - Wait For Me
05 - Blade Runner Blues
06 - One More Time, Love
07 - Enigma Drift a.k.a. Enigma Funk a.k.a. Taffys Club 4
08 - Animoid Row a.k.a. Animoid Alley
09 - Taffy's Club a.k.a. Downtown
10 - Taffy's Club 2 a.k.a. 4th Sector
11 - Ending a.k.a. The Battle Ends a.k.a. Bomb Escape
12 - Unknown Cue a.k.a. Sadik's Arena a.k.a. McCoy Vs. Sadik
13 - Bounce
14 - Good Night
15 - Awakenings a.k.a. Last Breaths
16 - Put Your Hands On Me a.k.a. Early Qs 1
17 - Dektora's Dance
18 - Silence
19 - Unknown Cue 2 a.k.a. Metal & Leather a.k.a. Gothic Club 3
20 - Gothic Club a.k.a. Trash Dance a.k.a. Downtown Slam
21 - Gothic Club 2 a.k.a. Streets Of LA 2019
22 - The Eyes Follow a.k.a. Pulse Grind
23 - By Invitation Only a.k.a. Invitation Only a.k.a. Early Qs 2
24 - Love Theme
25 - Solitude
26 - Bradbury Building
27 - Late Call a.k.a. Slow Dive a.k.a. Taffys Club 3
28 - Remorse a.k.a. Opening a.k.a. Luther & Lance
29 - End Credits a.k.a. End Titles
30 - Credits (Edit)

This is most likely the version including all the musical cues from the game I believe.

Anyway I am finding myself unsure about including the following cues included in the other versions posted:

Bonus tracks

Fighter Hiphop (bonus from Klepacki site Blade Runner section)
Blade Runner - Westwood Game Music

Offworld Colonies - Dwight Okahara from Westwood's Blade Runner

Blade Runner Blues (Short Loop) from Westwood's Blade Runner

End Titles (Westwood Edition) from Westwood's Blade Runner

Love Theme (Edit - 3.37 long) from Westwood's Blade Runner

Welcome from Westwood's Blade Runner

Adding also the intro to the Blade Runner game made by Westwood and perhaps also adding

Chinatown - Louis Castle from Westwood's Blade Runner

Hawker's Circle - Louis Castle from Westwood's Blade Runner

McCoy's Apartment - Louis Castle from Westwood's Blade Runner

Gordo's Standup from Blade Runner - Westwood Adventure Game (Disc 2)

As far as I know the Fighter Hiphop cue is not a bonus on Klepacki site and it is not on the Blade Runner section of it... and nowhere on the site also...

Shall I take it is just a clever attempt made not by klepacki?
... same for End Titles (Westwood Edition)...
Can someone shed some light on it please?

Is Gordo's Standup part of the game music?

I cannot play the game since the computer is having several blue screens of death lately (I am delaying the posts I intend to do because of it)

Can someone confirm about "Gordo's Standup"?

Do anyone have the Louis Castle videos about the game?
The ones I am having are really low quality and there's no way I can restore the frequencies lost in the low bit rate encoding I'm afraid...

If anyone is interested in contributing to the game score please send a pm :)

Hi Dadadacicici,
The track Fighter Hiphop was originally ripped from the Frank Klepacki website, Blade Runner section by myself. I was glad I did, because it soon vanished from the site. So I think it's appropriate to use it.

Gordo's stand-up comedy IS in the game.

I can't help with the Louis Castle question.

I'll be seeing about the Gordo's Standup track then!
I have sent a PM about the Fighter HipHop track. Let me know about the HDNET Fights option :)

Notes :

The original content of this archive was originally posted at Sci-Fi Dead-Donkey Forums on July 2004 for the ed2k network.
I am not re-uploading it as I got it off the p2p network as released on Scifi.dead-donkey.com • Index page ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) (where most of the Blade Runner bootlegs started getting into mainstream at the time).
The original archive can still be found here a few pages back if you wish. :)
Disc One was essentially a compilation including all the cues from the Off-World version and the extra track included in the virtually clone version translated in Romanian also known as Gongo release. I have merely re-ripped the songs in better quality off the cd’s eliminating the DC offset problem they both seem to share.
Disc Two was the “Blade Runner Suite” (or the songs better referred as Blade Runner Outtakes since they were not included in the official soundtrack release).
“This name was assigned by the editing staff at Warner Brothers. This cut of music cues by Vangelis comes straight from the vaults at the highest level, and features yet unheard “outtakes” and compositions which were written circa 1981 for the legendary film.“
The quality for a tape transfer was pretty good (if not very good).
It contained the early version that ended up as “Desolation Path” on cd2 of the Blade Runner Trilogy (the first part of it is known as “I Dreamt Music” on previous bootlegs).
The “Blade Runner Suite” (a.k.a. “Blade Runner Outtakes”) was a one-track transfer from the mastering cues including 11 tracks in total.
It seemed just the right time to split it into a more appropriate form using mp3 editing software without decoding it to audio and keeping the original variable bitrate.
I just applied fadings at the start and the end of the songs and trimmed out the less relevant bytes of tape hiss and silence or artifacts.
Some are still there in between the fade in’s & out’s.
Most of the releases coming since 2004 have taken their sources from the songs off the so-called “Blade Runner Suite”.

Credits to Taffy Lewis for posting this on March 2004 :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THIS IS A SPLITTED REPACKAGE OF DISC TWO
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PS: Track 09 a.k.a. "Alternate Love Theme" perhaps, never had a proper name (as most of the songs of the Blade Runner bootlegs anyway). I eventually came up with the "Replicant's Love Theme" working title to identify the "Outtakes" tracklist. Hope you do not mind.
