Bah cara, pior que tá difícil conseguir em britate maior! Um cara postou um forum ou site (não tenho certeza) chinês aqui no fórum dizendo que lá tinha algumas OST's e AST's com CBR superior, porém, quando acessei o lugar, não conseguia fazer o download.
Só não posto o lugar pra ti procurar, porque não lembro. Também não consigo mais encontrar o post do cara no fórum, porque quando foi mudado o servidor do forum o tópico que ele havia postado se perdeu!
Pô, mas tu tem as trilha das SNK em VBR? Não teria como postar pro pessoal?

The 98UM AST is confusing me. It's there in small parts but I can't seem to access the 2nd and 3rd files with WinRAR. Only the 1st and the 4th. It saves them as ".001" and ",002" files.

BTW, the 98UM gamerip may or may not be an actual gamerip. I played them and they play out like the full versions of the original arranged songs on the ASTs. Seoul Town isn't the new version either.

Is that really how they are in the sound test? Not that I don't like it, it's just that it doesn't feel like an actual "rip", you know?

Either way, I could always wait for MoryaMug to make one.

As much as I appreciate the efforts, I have a problem. I too have been downloading the KOF 96 OST, and when I open it(no problems, I'm using IZArc) and play it, some tracks are not playable(despite saying they are MP3 files), and the few that do play sound like they're literally being scratched out. Am I alone in having this problem, or can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Oh, and for the record, I have downloaded it multiple times...same problem each time.

Vulcan422, the upload original of KOF '98 UM AST, has been done by drexanale2k5.
He said that he made a compilation of other ASTs to take this soundtrack complete.
Rresume: Not a gamerip is only a compilation.

I will re-uploaded the "real" gamerip from PS2.

wow, great collection forest. I was looking for the 2002 Unlimited soundtrack. Just a heads up, I had some problems with the zip files. Got all the tracks to work except "Asian Triple Alliance" and "In Spite of One's Age". Other than that Winrar was able to repair them all.

Question: I noticed that in 2001 AST, the track "The King of Fighters 2001 Staff Roll BGM [Staff Roll]" (as titled in the OST) is not included. Is there no such track in the AST version?

EDIT: I was comparing track lengths and titles to the original version and it seems that the tracks at the end may be mislabeled. Such as 28 should be 29, 27 should be 28, and so on. I'll download the original to see what the missing track really is.

EDIT: I compared it to the original soundtrack and track 17 "Fighting Spirit No.2 [Joining In (HCC Screen)]" does not exist in the AST. Track 17 on the AST is actually track 18, and every track from there is one off. But since the real track 17 is only a single beat for about 2-5 seconds, it's not a major loss. Still, it just means every track from 17-28 needs to be relabeled as 18-29.

It's better than the originals or what?

FLAC means Free Losless Audio Codec. Wiki or Google it and you'll get your answer. It's basically kind of like CD quality in a digital format.

By the way, I was listening more to 2002 Unlimited Match and noticed that track 2-05 Asian Triple Alliance has hiccups in the first loop (at around 1:15 or so for quite a bit). Anyone else notice this too, or was it just my bad luck (not like it matters, I used a wave editor to fix it). I can't say I noticed any other hiccups though.

-Chef-'s right. Re:Bloody is the BOMB! Best of all the remixes (though I do like Esaka a bit too, considering I was never a huge fan of any of the Esaka tracks).

I'd love to get a hold of any lossless SNK tracks available, particularly the arranged ones. I've been dying to get those in FLAC for years.

The one I've had the hardest time finding in any kind of good quality is The King Of Fighters: Best Arranged from '99.

Unfortunately I don't have the AST of KOF98, but I have a TOSEC rip of the NEO-Geo-CD-version of KOF98. There are short portions of the 98-AST in it. If you want I could post some links to it, if you do not already have it.

Pay attention that there is a password to unzip the file.
And differently from Snkhero's flacs, in which each track is separated on its own file, this KOF 2000 AST has all of its tracks in an unique big flac file. This unique big flac file has all the information about the tracks, just like a "cue" would, but this information will only be viewed by selected media players that can read the information within the flac file. An example is foobar2000 ([Only registered and activated users can see links]). In media players like Winamp, otherwise, you will only be able to play it as a very long unique track (I mean, Winamp won't read the information within the file and view all the tracks separatedly).

This one was a bit slower to download, maybe because of the file being hosted on a FTP server. Anyway, I think it worths waiting the time.

This KOF '94 AST lossless rip is in an unique big APE file, and doesn't come with CUE. So in order to view all the tracks separatedly, it's necessary to use a CUE file. I've created the CUE myself: I searched for this album on FreeDB and then imported the info I found using CueMaster to create the CUE (actually CueMaster did everything, I just had to look for the Disc-ID on FreeDB and insert it on the program).

Just rename the attached *.txt file (in the end of my post) to *.cue and it's all done.

Otherwise, copy the following to NotePad (or similar text editor) and save it. Finally, rename it to *.cue.

The CUE can be used to mount the big APE file in a virtual drive with programs like WinMount, so that you can play the mounted audio CD in media players like WMP to view all the tracks separatedly. Or you can just convert the big APE file to any format you like and then split it using the CUE file.

The core game is a lot of fun and the new sprites and stages (especially the stages) look fantastic.

Unfortunately it's severely lacking in content and has a lot of online issues. I'd wait until the price comes down to get it, and makes sure to get the PS3 version since the X-Box 360 version apparently isn't getting the online fix patch anytime soon.

Thanks for the tip foobar2000, I didn't know this player, I'll tested.

This KOF '94 AST lossless rip is in an unique big APE file, and doesn't come with CUE. So in order to view all the tracks separatedly, it's necessary to use a CUE file. I've created the CUE myself: I searched for this album on FreeDB and then imported the info I found using CueMaster to create the CUE (actually CueMaster did everything, I just had to look for the Disc-ID on FreeDB and insert it on the program).

Just rename the attached *.txt file (in the end of my post) to *.cue and it's all done.

Otherwise, copy the following to NotePad (or similar text editor) and save it. Finally, rename it to *.cue.

The CUE can be used to mount the big APE file in a virtual drive with programs like WinMount, so that you can play the mounted audio CD in media players like WMP to view all the tracks separatedly. Or you can just convert the big APE file to any format you like and then split it using the CUE file.

Thanks for the assistance on the lossless KOF '94 rip! Hopefully someone will be able to post it in FLAC and on a server than that one.
Do you know if there is any noticeable difference between an APE and FLAC lossless rips?

Because I can barely see difference between lossy and lossless rips. Actually the biggest difference I see is when I turn up the sound. I guess these KOF lossless rips better support high volume levels without distortion. But I'm not used to listenning to music at high volume levels anyway, so I'm very intended to convert them to 320kbps MP3, what is much better than the 128kbps mp3 I had for these soundtracks.

Has anyone managed to find lossless rips of KOF '98's AST or Best Arranged Collection yet?

Also, does anyone have any other lossless rips of ASTs from other series like Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, and Samurai Shodown?
I don't have any of these.

Maybe Snkhero could give us a help on finding lossless rips for the KOF '98 ARRANGE and the BEST ARRANGE COLLECTION albums?

Those are the only ones left to complete the KOF AST lossless collection.

By the way, you miss linked to the part 10 of the KOF 2000 AST lossless album. There's a "]" that you should remove from the URL tag.

And one more quick note: in KOF '94 AST Lossless you wrote "FLAC", but actually it is encoded with Monkey's Audio ("APE" file), which is another lossless format. So you could change that information in the first page of this topic from "FLAC" to "APE".

Foobar2000 is a very light and simple media player, and it natively supports FLAC with embedded CUE. In the official site you can also get various codecs. I recommend getting the Monkey's Audio for playing APE files, so you won't need to use another program for playing them.

There was arranged versions with rock style, and the other ones with techno style

While it technically doesn't qualify as a 'soundtrack', I think some of you might be interested in it. It's basically song called "Yuuhi to Tsuki (The Sun and Moon)" that is sung by Iori and Kyo's voice actors (Kunihiko Yasui and Mashiro Nonaka respectively). Here's the link:

I know this isn't exactly the right place to ask this, but does anybody know other VG musics and/or bands which sounds like the rock/jazz musics from the KoF series, like "Saxophone Storm" 1 and 2, "Jungle Bouncer", "Getn' up" etc, please??
