I posted this link in the Film Score/VGM hunt thread but i wanted to make its own topic so that as many people as possible can listen to this amazing score. The movie Mongol is about the life of Ghangis Khan and has a soundtrack that I fell in love with during my one viewing of the movie in theaters. The vocals are what my friend tells me are refered to as Drone Vocals and they are used in combination with orchestra and traditional Chinese instruments.

The CD was just released last week on Varese Sarabande and is available on Amazon.com so I will not post FLAC files. If you want more info on the album go to VareseSarabande.com and view their information on it.

If the link dies I have no problem uploading it again.

This movie piqued my interest, and has thus made it onto the things-to-rent-eventually queue. You, sir, are to be thanked for sharing the music with us.

If anyone has it then please share but I don't see any way online to buy it so this is all I have.

For anyone interested in the works of Altan Urag (the folk rock group who did some of this music), I found one of their albums on a blog with a rapidshare link. This is their 2006 album, Made in Mongolia and i recommend it to people who liked this soundtrack. Sadly it can't be bought outside of China but maybe their newest one on the way will be released worldwide. Enjoy!

Hey I love the OST from the movie but it seems that the link to Altran Urag's music is not working. More specificly, I get to the site but the .rar does not extract correctly. Perhaps a reupload would fix it? Thanks in advance^_^

The link died! Would it be possible to upload the score again please? I'm a big film soundtrack / score buff! I don't listen to much more than this genre! Thanks
