Impossible for now. This ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) is the only source telling us there actually is a promo. I couldn't find another place. Fenton said, there are plans for releasing the score with the DVD, but the specs released for it don't tell anything. When the DVD specs are final and the score still cannot be found anywhere, I'll ask him for the promo.

Nothing bad, but the tracks are different, I didint find the tracks "When You're Alone" and "Ending Credits" that are in the 1 CD version.

Oh, one footnote: you'll notice I put *** next to the 2-CD complete score for "Die Hard"; that's because I was able to acquire the 43-track version in FLAC lossless, but it is only available as TRADE ONLY, meaning if you want it, you MUST give something else in return. That is the only way I am allowed to share it.

I think Half-Blood Prince soundtrack is slightly better than the last one, but only by a narrow margin. I don't know how Nicholas Hooper music works in the movie, because i have not seen Harry Potter part 5 and 6 movies yet.
Still although in my opinion it's a better work than Order of Phoenix, but both soundtracks are inferior than the Williams and Doyle (if i forget the more bombast cues), soundtracks for this series, but i'm not a Hooper hater. At least he tried to compose something original but without the sucess (and dare i say quality), of the previous soundtracks.

Hello everyone, first time I post here. I just have a small request, I'm very impressed by all the rare scores that show up here and I thought that if there was one place where I could find what I wanted then this place might be it.

The movie is Black Rain, scored by Hans Zimmer. I got both the normal and extended score, but there is one thing that is missing. If you have seen the movie, you'll know. The version of "I'll be holding on" is played at the beginning when Nick is riding on his motorcycle. It's different than the studio version found on the normal release, much more atmospheric. It has a great intro that I can't get enough of.

I'm just wondering if this version is available at all? In addition, if someone knows...the last scene seems to be somewhat different (and better scored) in the movie than on both the normal and extended score version of Nick and Masa. Not sure if this is obtainable, seeing how the extended covers most of this stuff already..

Welcome. I've never seen the movie, but just a small hunch. If there were more cues available, I'm sure they would have been included in the extended edition. So I guess you won't have luck. And another small note: 99% of the stuff released on the official releases are different mixes than in the film. Sometimes it's quite obvious, sometimes it's subtle.

Yeah i'm still new to all the rules online.Did love all the arguing a few weeks back about "links" and "original uploaders"....!How I laughed as I wondered what Elfman,Tyler,Goldenthal etc,would say if they saw this entire thread....!

But anyway,I spent HUNDREDS on CDs before....only to now find TWICE the amount of music not on the CDs....AND rare,bootleg or rejected scores !!.So i have absolutely no guilt.Sure those guys love the fact their stuff IS so appreciated.I doubt THEY are the ones that say "oh! paying customers!,don't give them all my stuff...half of it is crap,...!".Sure its the studios that say,"heres our budget/costs & calculated income ratio,now get editing and when you're done,edit it down some more,if customers pay for it,they obviously don't want all of it,why would they ?"......Crazy world

Bad News. It's easy to come up on a search engine and for the links to be viewed.
Vagos FM has no hidden links. Maybe they will change it in the future.
It only takes one report I suppose.
They have so many RS links there that it seems unlikely for them all to be taken down. Shouldn't that take some time?
They had some great stuff over there.
I noticed some links dead two days ago when I tried to get James Horner's Once Upon a Forest.
Then I checked a couple of others and the links were 7 day suspended.

the history of the 9921 edition is wildly unknown..it has..good sound quality, but not amazing. No FX

the 2-cd "promo" is a dvd-rip with fx.

the 4 cd edit is the thing to have - no fx (cept two tracks) and every piece of HOOK score imaginable.

i'd say there all boots, except they contain music not heard in the film, interviews (there are none available that i know of) or concert arrangements.. so..im not sure..i think the 4/3 CD Edit's/9921 Release are boots, whereas the 2-cd "promo" is a direct boot.

Am I alone in feeling like a lot of his later work mirrors elements from Hook more so than any of his other previous work? The score for Attack of the Clones and his work on Harry Potter all have themes and motifs that remind me very much of Hook.

me too!! the "across the stars theme" sounds like it came right out of hook..and i have heard that williams incorporates alot of HOOK's material into his more "child-like" film scores, and it's obvious why

No, it's a custom cue by Magic Box Music... It's not even on one of their albums! :(

However, I could send you a REALLY high quality WAV rip from the trailer (annd I mean the actual HD Apple trailer, not a YouTube rip :)) The sound quality is actually surprisingly good, with a minimal amount of sound effects.

O and parker1, thanks for those albums you uploaded. No, I don't want transcoded/fake lossless tracks, I'll stick to MP3 then :) I just wanted to see whether you had it; I came across a user on soulseek called the_recluse who has the HP6 game ost in lossless quality, however, he seems to be a true j*rk when it comes to sharing music... As soon as I tried to download the track, he moved the files, and when I asked him why he'd done it, he banned me :S... And it wasn't as if I was a leecher or anything... I have over 30,000 files shared :S

O and something else, I don't know if people know about this website, but it features a lot of custom made covers for various soundtracks; they're really professional, you almost can't even tell that they're custom-made...

There's a difference... He's moved the files out of the shared contents folder... Meaning it doesn't appear in soulseek anymore... :( It's pretty sad actually... just because I try to download it, he's willing to make sure that no one else get's it either, just to keep me from having it.. And besides, he's banned me for no obvious reason, so I can't even try to relocate the files...

The soundtrack by Wang Chung is not too hard to find, but I can't find the instrumental version of the soundtrack, which was on the other side of the vinyl. I would enjoy the actual score of the movie but I don't think that was ever produced. Does anyone have the whole soundtrack, singing, instrumental, and score?

If you load up the cue file into winamp or foobar2000 (you must change the settings to let it see cue files) then you can play it as separate tracks. Foobar can even convert them to mp3 for you if you have the lame.exe downloaded.
