you'll probably be searching until the end of time.........clint mansell didn't score Pump Up The Volume......Cliff Martinez did.
you want us to search for that?
or do you want to keep looking for mansell's score? :-P
I really don't think there is a score release for Pump seeing as it's a film mostly filled with Songs.....i'm guessing Martinez wrote 5 maybe 10 minutes worth of score for the film.
....but on the subject of Martinez, i did discover you could download score albums off of his official site....i just got the whole Kafka score off of it...it's only 160kbps....but i've never been able to find it anywhere else so this will have to do.
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
Ummm, yeah yeah, Martinez, oops... Guess that's what a loooong day will do to my brain... :-$
But thanks very much for the link! I love Cliff Martinez's work. Solaris is probably my favorite ambient-styled score of all time.
I would still love to get the Pump Up The Volume tracks he did, DVDrips or not. :)

I obviously don't want to disrespect those who likes it, but sometimes more is not necessarily better, and listening around 4 and half hours of this music is a bit to much, in my opinion.
I mean what's the point to have a dozen versions of the end credits ?! :-\ I myself give up after disc 2. It's like watching a movie whithout edits, but in this case is only music.
The original soundtrack as it is, in terms of listening experience is just..perfect, at least to my ears.

I agree completely. Too many times these recording sessions or complete scores are just repetitive.

Indeed.
I remember that "You could be mine" was a Guns n Roses song that have a videoclip with some movie scenes.
"Bad to the bone" is more or less a classic rock song which sincerely i don't know from what band it is, and "Guitars, Cadillacs" should be the song heard when Schawzneger(?) enter that biker pub earlier on the movie.
All the other tracks are from the original T2 soundtrack.

Anyone have the game music to The Godfather Video Game Soundtrack by Bill Conti?
The music will delay. I can't find my rip for now, and I just found a link to the Wii version of the game, and I hope to get some better quality out of there.
By the way, if you have the PC version of the game, you can extract the music for yourself. Just extract the little mus files out of the big one containing the music with tools like Nova Extractor and convert it to MP3/WAV.

hi folks
here is my own rip of the score assembled from various sources like a rare promo MC-tape and the official LP. I've done my best in reducing some noises and other scam stuff.
If you think there are some mistakes in the track list order or any other anomalies within the tracks itself, then just post here and I'll see into it.
Keep in mind there won't be a better edition until some labels comes with the real deal. So be happy about this one and don't complain.
This offer is limited!!! So get it NOW till it's too late!!!

Oh boy! Thank you! I've been looking for this. Say what you want about Uwe Boll, and his movies, but he often has nice score in his films.
If anyone has any other scores by De Rooij, I would grateful about those too, especially Tunnel Rats and Dungeon Siege (I'm not sure that there is cd about those, but still...) I already have Bloodrayne 2: Deliverance and Postal.
There is an CD for Dungeon Siege, but only 2-3 Score Tracks on the Album afaik.

Yeah, with 30 tracks. Don't know if it's really complete, but I guess it's the longest version there is. The bitrate is 192k, but I guess I could track down a 320k version for you.

I'll have to wait for your rip because I don't have the PC game. :( I have the Playstation 2 verison of the game.

madkalnod, can you upload Alien Invasion: Space and Beyond 2?
Apologies for the absence, everyone, but my office was without internet access since the 3rd, so I missed the last 40 pages of posts and requests. Get it while it's hot:
Alien Invasion: Space and Beyond II: Contains themes from Mars Attacks!, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Dune, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine – “The Visitor,” Star Trek: First Contact, When Worlds Collide, Battle Beyond the Stars, The Thing From Another World, Twilight Zone: The Movie, Battlestar Galactica, StarGate, Forbidden Planet, The Planets, Contact, Starship Troopers, Predator, War of the Worlds (George Pal Version), The Empire Strikes Back, Invaders From Mars, Space: Above and Beyond, V, Starman, & Independence Day – performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic
Part 1 – [Only registered and activated users can see links]
Part 2 – [Only registered and activated users can see links]
And incidentally, Fenderman3000, asking for the same thing three times in the same week is a major violation of Ape Law, enough to get you banshed to My List. (And, quoth the Venture Brothers, "Nobody gets off the Phantom Limb's sh!t list!"). Still, as I wasn't here to post it for the past week, which would have obviated the problem, I'm willing to let your first offense slide.

Hi everyone!
I've posted this as a separate thread in the Requests section to be proper, but since this is the den of the score hunters around here, I figured I'd link in here as well.
Basically, I'm looking for a game rip of the new Prototype game's score — it's by Cris Velasco and Sascha Dikiciyan (of Jericho, Hellgate London, etc). My request thread is here:

Very kewl ... I'm very interested in hearing this :)
I downloaded THE WINGS OF HONNEAMISE (a 720p Blu-Ray rip) from a public tracker but although it looked great it was encoded all "wrong" (too many reference frames etc.) so it would not play back on my PS3 (only on my computer). I ended up re-encoding it to PS3 specs (still 720p resolution and still looking great) and since I went through all the trouble (plus I ended up loving the movie) I made a torrent for that PS3 friendly 720p version over at demonoid.com and even though that was over 6 months ago it is still going strong so feel free to go download it and check it out.

I doubt they are presenting their episodes in 5.1 format, probably stereo. Then it's impossible to isolate the music from. What specific episode has that music? Maybe if we can find out who composed it, there's some other way getting that music from. Could it be John Dickson? Maybe you can get it by asking him on his myspace site.
Someone found the TMNT score?

I never would have thought to download it myself but yeah I'm a bit puzzled by all the excitement so I guess I'll download it too although it might help if I see the movie (which I haven't) LOL
Not that one has to see a movie to enjoy it's score but it does often help :)

As far as I know the current composer is Dan Beyer. That's what it is says here under Series Original music.

I tried this odd thing a couple of years ago with watching the show, I hooked up surround sound speakers to the tv and it did get the music pretty good with that light voice scramble noise, meaning the voices were pretty much gone. So it would have to be 1.5 format wouldn't it if I'm able to get just the music almost pretty darn good without voices?
I'll look on the full episodes on ABC.com and see which one it is. I was able to take my recorder and at least record the music I could hear in the background from the voices. Clearly the music sounds in a different format then in stereo because the music seems to be louder then the voices almost and clearer with excellent sound quality. Plus luckily the background music part I'm looking for they play it more then once. So it's clearly a theme. I want to catch it soon before they go with newer themes.
P.S. - were you able to get the Godfather Game music rips off the wi? XD Just curious. Sorry if that's bugging you.

Caveat: My CD of Troy is scratched so that the computer locks up whenever I try to rip the last track, but it's the Josh Groban song so I'm really doing you a favor by not including it. James Horner has developed a nasty habit of using the main theme of his score as the melody line in the tacked-on end credits song, so that you can no longer listen to the rest of the score without hearing the over-rated pop has-been-waiting-to-happen singing over it in the back of your head.

Caveat: The liner notes to the the first X-Men film are on a 4-panel folder instead of a booklet, and it's too big for my scanner here so I'm missing sections of it of about an inch or two. If you want, I can try to do it in pieces, but I can't guarantee a satisfactory result.
As for the music from X-Men: The Animated Series, if you mean the 1994 Fox Kids version, then the main title is all I have from that, as it came from The Sci-Fi Channel Presents Sci-Fi's Greatest Hits, Volume 4: Defenders of Justice. I do, however, have a short album of material from X-Men: Evolution, the animated series from Kids' WB a few years back. Would you be wanting that?

Perfect thanks. Love the soundtrack, not a fan of the game. A friend is dragging me through it in coop.
Your welcome. Glad you enjoy the music. I rather have Trever Morris do the score to Transformers. That's what his ARMY OF TWO Score sounds like it could be. Steve J's score is too weak and doesn't deliever the right punch as it should.

Man I watched Transformers again and I think Steve Jablonsky's score is too weak and doesn't give off the right vibe as it should. I think Hans Zimmer should do the the score or Trever Morris (ARMY OF TWO Video Game). Does anyone else agree in what I noticed or no?

I agree Hans Zimmer, the master of synth orchestra, would have been a better choice.
Yeah. my favorite score of Zimmer's is Pearl Harbor. He truely captured every scene down to the wire. So it does show that he could capture the right feel for transformers. Steve has this problem where he brings in choral for like a few moments in the track and it really builds up, but that quickly dies and it's like "Where did the suspense go?" You know? He also has a bad habit in that score to just use too many mixes of moods in a single track and it gets really annoying. Plus lack of emotion. Same with the movie in general. It lacks emotional scenes. Pearl Harbor is way better in the emotional sense.
Hans Zimmer would keep you in the mood at all times.

perhaps; however, we can only insinuate Zimmer's limitation due to a theme already being historically established. Thank you John Williams. As for The Matrix, I am sure Zimmer can achieve a greater overall theme than what Don Davis produced. And come on, Hans Zimmer influenced John Powell! Zimmer can totally reboot the Bourne themes.

Sanico, thanks a lot.
Have you had the chance to listen it? It is good or in someway similar to his BSG scores?
Again, thank you very much!!

perhaps; however, we can only insinuate Zimmer's limitation due to a theme already being historically established. Thank you John Williams. As for The Matrix, I am sure Zimmer can achieve a greater overall theme than what Don Davis produced. And come on, Hans Zimmer influenced John Powell! Zimmer can totally reboot the Bourne themes.
my opinion of course.
Zimmer is a very good influence. He has a wide range of music like Something's Gotta Give and Driving Ms. Daisy to Pearl Harbor and The Divinci Code. His music expands so greatly. I also agree on the Bourne themes. Don't get me wrong I like John Powell, but something lacked on the Bourne themes.

Thanks, Sanico. I sure hope this holds us over until BSG Season 4 comes out next month, or at least until Transformers 2 comes out...
Transformers 2 is available here as a digital download.

hmm....its a dozy score :(
Caprica really disappoint me... its not the best Bear score imo, sounds like an underscore soundtrack.
I think and hope BSG4 will be better.

Yep. I found the score. It's on itunes. So I'll have to go out and buy an itunes card and buy the score and then of course rip the score from itunes to my computer and upload it on rapidshare, megaupload, or fileshare. Whatever I can do. lol. It will be a little bit before I can get the money. I hope you don't mind the delay.
