I had to trim several tracks short and leave out stuff like Batman Returns, Justice League: Starcrossed, Catwoman, and Elektra just to make what's already there fit on two discs.I'm not sure to have understood well: Starcrossed has been made?!?

10. The Superman/Batman Adventures: World’s Finest – by Shirley Walker (0:59)Just to be sure, is it the opening theme used for the second bat-series (Gotham Knights / The New Batman Adventures), and for the latter episodes of Superman, or is it a piece of score from the three-part crossover "World's Finest"?

Sorry for my stupid questions if the answer seems obvious, but I prefer to be sure that I indeed have everything available...

Yeah that's awesome, or you wasn't a big Elfman music fan.
I'm a bit curious to listen how the orchestra performs the music for the more recent Batman movies, although the tracks (Eptesicus and Aggressive Expansion), are not the most obvious choices from those score i think.

Here is the conclusion to my anthology of dramatic themes:

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

ALL KIDDING ASIDE... ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
Dramatic Scores Part II

1) Life is Beautiful (Nicola Piovani)
2) The Straight Story (Angelo Badalamenti)
3) Twin Peaks (Angelo Badalamenti)
4) The Elephant Man (John Morris)
5) Being John Malkovich (Carter Burwell)
6) The Man Who Wasn't There (Carter Burwell)
7) Gods & Monsters (Carter Burwell)
8) The Hudsucker Proxy (Carter Burwell)
9) Adaptation (Carter Burwell)
10) One Hour Photo (Johnny Klimek & Reinhold Heil)
11) Sideways (Rolfe Kent)
12) The Truman Show (Philip Glass)
13) Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Jon Brion)
14) A Beautiful Mind (James Horner)
15) Sommersby (Danny Elfman)
16) Dead Again (Patrick Doyle)
17) Seven Years In Tibet (John Williams)
18) Legends of the Fall (James Horner)
19) Braveheart (James Horner)
20) Bicentennial Man (James Horner)
21) A.I. Artificial Intelligence (John Williams)

There's an arc here, believe me. Light --> Dark --> Light

Let me deconstruct this collection, just to justify my actions:

The disc starts out on a sad, but beautiful note, "Life is Beautiful," just to establish the tone. (I was going to include more foreign works, but I'm saving that for my next project: "A Touch of Romance.") Then that transitions to my short tribute to three David Lynch pictures, where it becomes noticeably darker. I then pulled out my quintet of Burwells, because - what can I say? The man does fine, deep (and dark) dramatic music. From there it's still sad and melancholy, but eventually becomes progressively lighter (but still heavy) in the last half. I finally got an opportunity to include a little Danny Elfman because tonally his work is so hard to include in these compilations. That, and I'm saving it for another all-Danny Elfman project somewhere down the line. I end it with the last half I like to call "John Williams V. James Horner. Yes, Horner has more pieces represented on here, but Williams has the last laugh. ;)

I went decidedly darker with this one because I'm a dark guy. I can't deny my roots any longer.

The biggest regret I have is just picking one cue from "The Truman Show." If I had the space, I'd include the entire soundtrack on there. Probably one of my top 5 scores ever.

The Greatest Love Themes of All Time

1) Gone with the Wind (Max Steiner)
2) Doctor Zhivago (Maurice Jarre)
3) Romeo & Juliet (Nino Rota)
4) Love Story (Francis Lai)
5) Somewhere in Time (John Barry)
6) The Godfather (Nino Rota)

10) Il Postino (Luis Bacalov)

12) The Lake House (Rachel Portman)
13) The Bridges of Madison County (Lennie Niehaus)
14) Indecent Proposal (John Barry)
15) Titanic (James Horner)
16) Superman (John Williams)
17) Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves (Michael Kamen)
18) The Princess Bride (Mark Knopfler)
19) Shopgirl (Barrington Pheloung)
20) Punch-Drunk Love (Jon Brion)
21) The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Alexandre Desplat)
22) What Dreams May Come (Michael Kamen)
23) Love Actually (Craig Armstrong)
24) Dragonheart (Randy Edelman)
25) Edward Scissorhands (Danny Elfman)
26) Modern Times (Charles Chaplin)

I know it's a ballsy move to call something I made the "greatest" of anything, but I actually believe this is the best compilation I've ever come up with. I'm really proud and happy with the way it turned out. In the end, I had to throw out 1 or 2 tracks in order to make it fit, but the way it stands now it's as strong as the first "Ultimate Adventure" in terms of wall-to-wall beauty and powerful impact. There is no filler material here, believe me.

There is something about listening to good music that is so soul-stirring and spirit-strengthening that it sweeps you up in overwhelming emotion. This collection represents 26 of those pieces. Hold a loved one near as you're listening to these, or as in my case, cry yourself to sleep.

Inspired by Budarc and bi0h4z4rd posting their own custom homebrew best-of albums, I'm sharing this little jewel that I've been driving to for the past year or so

Big thanks MadKalnodfor the "Superhero Theme Mix". Loved the choice of music and songs and was great to hear old themes from some of the TV shows I watched as a kid!

As a thanks (even though you might already have it), I had a quick look in your "Currently Coveting List" and uploaded Volume 2 of The Flash. The quality is pretty poor, and I split the original promo disc into two separate albums (one for each episode), but here they are regardless!

Tomb Raider Game Music Compilation
Since compilations seem to be the In thing right now, here is a compilation I did a few months ago of Tomb Raider music, which includes tracks from all the games starting with Tomb Raider 1, and ending with Tomb Raider 8 Underworld.

These tracks came from many different downloads, scores, game rips, etc. So the bit rate is all over the place. All of it plays very nicely though - great sound quality thru-out.

The compilation contains 1:19:07 minutes, and includes 42 tracks, a track list and cover art.

The track list with the download is correct, but includes the actual track names from all these different sources. Hence here is an easier to understand track list, which you may want to copy and paste on your own.

Tracks:

Our tastes seem to run in similar veins, and I think I can answer both of these questions for you.

1) I believe he was just talking about a compilation disc of title music/theme music for various films. The Starcrossed theme has not been commercially released, but the theme (ripped from the broadcast or DVD, I assume) has been floating around the web for awhile. I think I actually have it. 2) It isn't from the Batman/Superman crossover. He's referring to actual official soundtrack releases for BTAS and STAS. The BTAS one is already up, as are Batman Beyond and Return of the Joker.

Correct on both counts. Justice League: StarCrossed is just a slower, slightly melancholy version of the regular Justice League theme, is only available as a somewhat scratchy 96 kbps mp3 obtained from a DC Animation fansite, and onlt the main and end titles are available. The New Superman/Batman Adventures Theme is indeed the main titles to the later season of both shows when they were presented as a 1-hour block on Kid's WB. Neither StarCrossed nor World's Finest have had anything released beyond those two themes, either officially or bootleg.

Who knows about the quality though (lossy to lossy conversion and all). I thought this was an iTunes exclusive, and aren't all iTunes audio downloads in AAC? I have no idea. I don't use iTunes.

THANKS !!!!!!!!!!

The Flash - Captain Cold: [Only registered and activated users can see links]

Thank ye enormously! Don't worry excessively about the quality, as it's fine for my purposes. Name your reward for finding this!

I think this is the soundtrack, as all of the music on the soundtrack you are looking for is from the first episode, which is called 'Children of the Gods':

Oh no reward necessary! I should really get round to making a list of my own stuff, so people can see if theres anything there they'd like.

I couldn't help but have a look at your list of soundtracks anyways. May I just ask, what is the "Gargolyes (Disney)" soundtrack you have by Carl Johnson?
I pulled a couple of themes and suites off his official site (one of them nearly 15 minutes long!). Is this just a collection of suites you have that you scraped together, or some official promo?

is there a complete score? or is the album release pretty close.....it runs at 61 minutes and the movie is 74 minutes long?

Thank ye enormously, Argo1naut! For finding one on my "Currently Coveting" list, you need but name your reward from my score library!

Anyway, this was requested by halconpb, and may be useful to anyone else who already downloaded THE MUSIC OF BATMAN. I give you the covers for the CD.

Just go to rapidshare.com and the register to get access to your collector's account. You can upload your stuff in there with a maximum filesize of 200MB. The best way is to create a password protected archive (like WinRAR) with ominous filenames, so Rapidshare can't find out, what's inside.

That is a creepy avatar.

Which creepy one of parker1's are you referring to? The Joker mirror-image, the Newman head (Ah-ah-ah), or Al Bundy? ;)

I guess the al bundy avatar was the most creepy. Thankfully my memory seems to have purged that horrible past.

LOL, It's Stewart Townsend from Queen of the Damned...one of my favorite horror movies. I saw it again last night and thought I would use it for my avatar for a while.

LOL.. small world. I guess the mask is off... Cuckoo, I mean to reply to you over at IMDB again.. I loved the score to Knowing. When I saw it was Marco's I was pleasantly surprised.

I wonder if the scores I made and released here are still available.

Both of those don't seem to have any kind of print. A source tells me that Edelman may be getting some limited releases soon. Billy Madison may be on that list.

I don't think that's possible in my guess. Because the score out is in fact the whole score. Just Randy Eldmen has it like original recordings. But who ever did the movie edits took parts of each track and placed them throughout the film. You'll notice that if you pay close attention to the tracks and watch the movie again. XD Believe me, I was surprised by this but then I could see why they did it. Randy clearly composed the music before hand and the film editers did the rest.

The only one I can honestly think of is the Jazzy music playing when Jim Carrey is the mask looking into the mirror. That's clearly missing from the score. I wonder if that track is on the various artists soundtrack to The Mask. If you can think of any others, I'd like to know to. I love the score.
