You said we should tell you, if links are broken. Well, it's always the same with rapidshare.de. I can only recommend, not to use this uploader, because the links won't last long. So "Iron Monkey" and "First Kid" are already dead.

Try this ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

You are right, IM24CTU, please use rapidshare.com instead of *.de, use ominous filenames and implement a password with encrypted filenames, this works fine with me.

All the music are "ZIP"s and most of it is on Sharebee, which connects with most upload sites including Rapidshare.

I do in lossless, but for my taste too much officially available OSTs were requested here recently. Damn, this one can be bought with artworks, case and in lossless quality for $5.31 at Amazon.com ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), why downloading it?

I agree with the author of this article!!! I've got the CD and it's really poor :)
It has absolutely nothing to do with a soundtrack! I think the producers of this frisbee needed some money, had a nice keyboard session and that's it...

If anybody wants it, I will upload in the fall of the next week, but be warned!!! It's terrible!!!

Many thanks for Star Trek. I find it ironic that it was available before Wolverine, which comes out a week sooner in the stores. I think of the two, Star Trek will be the better score and movie, but Transformers will rule it's pointy-eared soul in a month and a half.

Here is the rare, so-called "Expanded Score" for Minority Report. As you'll see, it's not really "expanded" in terms of more music from John Williams, but "expanded" meaning most of the non-original source music heard in the film is included here.

Because of its rarity, I was only able to acquire it in 160kbps through a trade, and all of the tracks have no titles, but I have posted a track list:

CD 1 (44:48)

1. 20th Century Fox Fanfare (0:21)
Composed by Alfred Newman; conducted by Bruce Broughton
2. Dreamworks Fanfare (0:24)
3. Previsions (1:06)
4. Pre-Crime to the Rescue (5:50)
5. Symphony No 6 in B Minor - 2nd Mvt (2:35)
Composed by Piotr Tchaikovsky
Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Claudio Abbado
6. Can You See? (0:54)
7. A Woman Named Anne Lively (1:14)
8. Symphony No 8 in B Minor - 1st Mvt (4:23)
Composed by Franz Schubert
Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Carlos Kleiber
9. Two Minutes (0:55)
10. Everybody Runs! (2:17)
11. Anderton's Great Escape (6:47)
12. The Greenhouse Effect (5:09)
13. Dr. Eddie and Miss Van Eych (3:08)
14. Sean (4:46)
15. Spyders (4:33)

CD 2 (41:31)

1. Eye-Dentiscan/Taking Agatha (3:19)
2. Solitude (3:15)
by Duke Ellington, Eddie DeLange, Irving Mills
Performed by Billie Holiday
3. Visions of Anne Lively (1:04)
4. Moon River (2:08)
Composed and conducted by Henry Mancini
5. The Man in the Window (0:34)
6. Leo Crow - The Confrontation (5:56)
7. "Sean" by Agatha (4:55)
8. Run! (1:08)
9. Psychic Truth and Finale (7:12)
10. A New Beginning (3:29)
11. End Credits Pt. 1 (Sean's Theme) (1:57)

It has absolutely nothing to do with a soundtrack! I think the producers of this frisbee needed some money, had a nice keyboard session and that's it...

If anybody wants it, I will upload in the fall of the next week, but be warned!!! It's terrible!!!

That's different from the UK promo though, right? The promo itself says it's music by Randy Edelman. I think I'll hold out on that soundtrack, but I'm eager to hear what the promo has in store for me... (Unless it's the same track listing - it's not, right?)

UPDATE: Aw, shoot, looks like the track listing is similar ([Only registered and activated users can see links]). But there are still a few extra cuts that made it on the promo. Looks like several different versions of the theme, which are also available on that earlier webpage. Dang.

Hey, sooooooo much thanks for the minority report expanded score, donnor!!!
Where do you get this rare score and the scores from your list?

You're welcome. :)

Basically I get most of them through trades with different contacts at several forums as well as from a few international contacts. But enough about me. Enjoy the music!

Can you give a front cover that's not autographed, its for the folder?

Any luck with finding "Murder at 1600"? & "Small Soldiers", and do you know where to find

Thanks for the Little Nicky score! FYI if anybody wants some of the other "source" music played during the movies, might I point out AC DC Highway to Hell, Van Halen's Running with the Devil, and a few tunes cut from P.O.D.'s Fundamentals of Southtown CD....For some reason the LIttle NIcky score feels incomplete without those tunes added to the mix.

Ah I remember the 00s....All that turntable rap was back in fashion - RAP ROCK I think it was called...hmm....

This morning I got a Norton threat warning from this site about something called:
MSIE RealPlayer rmoc ActiveX BO
Norton's website describes it a high threat that uses a computer's Real Player program to insert malicious code. It does not automatically mean such code has been inserted, merely that it is highly vulnerable. I have not gotten additional warnings, but it is possible my system is ignoring any addtional attempts. It occured on the forums main page (as opposed to Gabaldia Hotel's main page,) nor do I know who or what is responsible.
Information can be found here. ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

I'm also seeing several instances of java source code visible in user posts.

The strange java script appears after every quote. It began on this thread between 5:54pm and 8:07 pm. On random threads checked, this seems to be consistent.
I did find a earlier example from 4/19/09 at 5:16pm.
I don't know what causes it.

The web address in the code: cgi35.plala.or.jp/Mu/
seems to be a web server that has a lot of dicey sites connected with it.

Review
By berlioz

Advantages: Great score filled with gothic grandeur and lush romance

Disadvantages: Slightly on the side of repetitive within each track

Coming out in 1992, Francis Ford Coppola's adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel Dracula was touted to be the most faithful adaptation of the book yet, though even if it featured many details and even lines straight from the book, the film also took quite a lot of liberties with it source material, not least in giving Dracula and Mina a real love story not found from the book. More that that the film was a visualistic extravaganza and contained perhaps more diverse filming styles I have ever seen in any other film, which to top it off was all done without CGI, Coppola rather opting to use old film making techniques. Being the really sexually charged gothic horror drama that it is, it was only fitting that the music in the film would mirror this darkly gothic and romantic spirit.

The Polish classical composer Wojciech Kilar accomplished this in flying colours, creating a score that is at times darkly gothic and at others romantically melancholy. Beginning with the brutal and dark "Dracula: The Beginning" with its ominous theme for Dracula, we get some barbarically terrifying action music that creates a strong opening for the album. Apart from the subdued theme for Dracula that resurfaces often, we also get a darkly determined march in "Vampire Hunters" for low brass, a gently blinging and glittering theme for Lucy in "Lucy's Party", a romantically gentle love theme for Dracula and Mina in "Love Remembered", that is further developed in "Mina/Dracula" in a more impassioned style, and a ghostly eerie theme for Dracula's Brides in "The Brides."

In the cue "The Storm" we get another brutally dark bit of brassy music with pounding piano for an almost delirious sense of horror to which the vocals of soprano Diamanda Galas create a wonderfully eerie sense of the supernatural. There is also a more religiously coloured theme appearing in the cues "Love Eternal" and "Ascension" for the final scenes of the film of Dracula's redemption that is almost straight out of his concert work Angelus. And finally, as a small curiosity, is the horrifying bit of sound design in "The Ring of Fire" of devilish laughter and crackling of fire as Dracula's Brides proceed in killing the horses of Van Helsing near Dracula's castle that can easily give you nightmares when in the proper mood.

All in all, the score is perfect for its film and works perfectly in conjunction of the visuals, but also makes for a great album in its suite like tracks that don't necessarily need the film as accompaniment. According to the director's commentary on the film, Kilar apparently only wrote three pieces of music for the film, which were then edited for the film. I'm not sure exactly how extensive these pieces were as there are many variations and changes in detail found here that are clearly not just regurgitated material, but whatever the truth of the matter is, the music still works wonderfully as a standalone. The album is unfortunately concluded with the obnoxious Annie Lennox song "Love Song for a Vampire" that could just as easily be forgotten. The album sells for £5.97 on Amazon and comes with a high recommendation from me.

Technical Caveat: Like I've said before, I'm no sound engineer. Some tracks are a bit scratchy (like Birds of Prey, Legion of Superheroes, Mutant X, and Avengers United They Stand) because I've only ever been able to find them as 20 kbps mono .wav files. Others have been edited for time constraints to remove extraneous noodling as well as my software (Iomega HotBurn Pro) will allow (hence Judge Dredd and The Phantom stop more abruptly than I'd like rather than a smooth fadeout). Still, I'm pleased enough with it to offer it for your enjoyment.

If you enjoy it, please consider stopping by one of the allied stores listed at [Only registered and activated users can see links] and donating some comics, graphic novels, D&D books and/or dice or the like to be sent to U.S. troops deployed overseas.

Hi guys I'm looking for anything and everything from The X Files. I've waded through a lot of posts but couldnt find any active links, I saw MadKalnod especially uploaded quite a lot but it's all dead too unfortunately.

I have the scores from the movies, but I would really love to have anything from the show, the score is just so beautiful, especially later seasons.

Thanks bunches in advance!

A quick "HI" to everybody around! I've just found the Shrine and it's a dream come true. It's great to see so many people gathered who are as addicted to film and video game music as I am. (In most situations I feel like an alien out there int he real world, where people consume movies but don't ever realize that there's been music in it too ;-))
And you're doing a terrific job to keep all this going!

Wish you the best,

GREAT work, man. Top notch. The only one you're missing out on (that I would have included) is Danny Elfman's "Darkman." But otherwise oh-so much better than I could have done. :)

Thank ye kindly.

There's two reasons that Darkman was not included. Number One, I had to trim several tracks short and leave out stuff like Batman Returns, Justice League: Starcrossed, Catwoman, and Elektra just to make what's already there fit on two discs. And Number Two, The Incredibles is the only exception to my somewhat arbitrary rule that all entries had to start out as a comic book first and become a movie or TV show later, but The Incredibles is allowed because it's wall-to-wall love for the Silver Age.

Still, I'm planning to eventually expand the collection to three discs when more comic book themes become available: One for DC, one for Marvel, and one for independents. Planned additions include those mentioned above that didn't make the cut for this volume, The Incredible Hulk, Hellboy II, Punisher: War Zone, The Spirit, Watchmen, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and "T.U.R.T.L.E. Power" by Partners in Kryme from the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. And, of course, Iron Man II, Thor, Captain America, and The Avengers when their movies come out.

Whan that happens, I may add a small section called "The Silver Age Back Issue Box" with the themes from the 1967 animated versions of Superman, Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, Aquaman, The Flash, Hawkman, The Atom, Teen Titans, Justice League of America, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, The Sub-Mariner, and the live-action Batman, Wonder Woman, and Incredible Hulk. I just need to find clearer, undistorted copies of the Filmation and Marvel Superheroes themes.

I've also got 305 MB of DVDRip cues from various episodes throughout seasons 1 through 9, but I warn you that there's been no attempt made whatsoever to remove dialogue and sound FX. It's like watching random clips of the show without the picture. Myself, I find it too frustrating to listen to.

A: I was addressing (and quoting) six different people with responses to six different subjects. If they were six posts to the same person on the same topic, then yes, I would condense them into one.

B: I'm used to this place being busier and other people getting other posts in between mine while I'm typing. Not my fault that the rest of you couldn't keep up with me this morning

Then you would need a 5.1 track, I doubt MadKalnod still has them. I would like to extract it myself, but I don't have the later seasons. But the music is awesome, Snow reused some cues for the movies he composed for the television show, like "Crater Hug" and "Trip To D.C.".

Thanks for the promo for Hannah Montana although I find it sounds more like a generic background music to crappy country music. Debney can do a lot better even though it is just a throwaway movie and what not.

His engagement sounds weird to me, too. In General someone who's name I can't pronounce and I've never heard before is attached to those kinda scores. I think he had to do this score for his children ;) Like I said, don't expect too much from this score. Some transitions, small cute western-like cues, alternates.

Has anyone come across Debney's score to "Christmas with the Kranks"?

I doubt there is something.

Is there a promo for "I'll be Home for Christmas" by John Debney?

PS: I've only got the 33 tracks of "Resident Evil", do you have the 43 tracks with covers?

Then you would need a 5.1 track, I doubt MadKalnod still has them. I would like to extract it myself, but I don't have the later seasons. But the music is awesome, Snow reused some cues for the movies he composed for the television show, like "Crater Hug" and "Trip To D.C.".
Hmm I don't have any seasons on dvd either unfortunately, but I think I'm gonna try to find a dvd torrent somewhere cos I think it's well worth a try, there are a lot of scenes where there's hardly any dialogue or sfx.

And yeah I'm really happy he reused some of the cues, I love the score for movies, especially for I Want To Believe.

Speaking of Snow, I can't believe he still hasn't released anything from Smallville, the score is really amazing in that show too, sigh.

The sessions for Back to the Future never leaked. Part II & III did, but one never did. If they did, there would have been a great uproar about it, as its one of the jewels of all score collectors. Anyone who claims to have it is lying/don't know completely what they are talking about. Likely, what they have is merely a mix of the bootleg of Silvestri's thats already out there mixed with rerecordings by John Debney.

My favourites :
Hart's War (great theme)
Nicholas Nickelby (nice orchestrations and instruments)
The Manchurian Candidate (very atmospheric music but it fits the movie)

She has a subtle style, she is often boring but I don't know, her music sometimes really moves me. But since 4 or 5 years she didn't write anything good...

There is also Debbie Wiseman...

I swear the day I'll know how to use

IN ALL SERIOUSNESS... ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
Dramatic Scores Part I

1) Forrest Gump (Alan Silvestri)
2) Patch Adams (Marc Shaiman)
3) Awakenings (Randy Newman)
4) My Life (John Barry)
5) Dances With Wolves (John Barry)
6) The Legend of 1900 (Ennio Morricone)
7) Dead Poets Society (Maurice Jarre)
8) Mr. Holland's Opus (Michael Kamen)
9) August Rush (Mark Mancina)
10) American Beauty (Thomas Newman)
11) The Shawshank Redemption (Thomas Newman)
12) Cast Away (Alan Silvestri)
13) Deep Impact (James Horner)
14) Contact (Alan Silvestri)
15) The Man Without A Face (James Horner)
16) Empire of the Sun (John Williams)
17) Schindler's List (John Williams)
18) Saving Private Ryan (John Williams)
19) Glory (James Horner)

It was almost impossible to find 80 minutes of "serious" music that I thought best fit a single disc, so this is a smattering of drama scores from out there (I apologize for the all-over-the-place presentation of the tracks). Believe me, a second volume will be forthcoming.

Glad you like. I spent the better part of the week compiling tracks and listening to each, weighing which ones fit best. I tried to go with some obvious choices, and some slightly obscure ones to balance the tone. While it may not be the end-all of all dramatic compiliations, I'm quite satisfied with it. :)

I'm working on the second one right now. Compiling the appropriate tracks and making them fit is always the toughest part...
