Thank you Laei for the advice.
I have found a practical workaround using Real Player after first deleting the original cache files. Afterwards I reset the media library to where I store my temp files. Consequently, it lists only albums there, avoiding the risk with Windows Media Player of confusing my archive and active directories.
Thank you again for the help,
JonC

Can you upload some of PotC 1+2+3 unreleased/expanded/complete scores? i hope with minimum of SFX.
and some of jurassic park1+2 ? by john williams
thank you =)
I have Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl (Complete), but it's a DVDRip with pretty intrusive SFX. Do you still want it?
Also, I have the commercial releases of Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park 2 by Williams. Did you want these, or were you looking for Complete/expanded/unreleased versions of these as well?

You believe that it's possible to upload this?:
Independence Day (Complete) by David Arnold
James Bond 007: Tomorrow Never Dies (Recording Sessions) by David Arnold
The Name of the Rose - by James Horner
National Treasure (Complete) - by Trevor Rabin (DVDRip)
Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (Complete) by Alan Silvestri
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (Video Game) (if there are track names)
What are the best scores for a Star Wars game? Music is different from the movies?
Thanks so much

Advisements:
Independence Day and Name of the Rose have never played for me in Windows Media Player. I'm betting that they're coded for iTunes, but I've never tested the hypothesis.
National Treasure is a DVDRip, and as such contains some especially intrusive SFX.
I didn't upload my copy of Star Wars Battlefront 2 because it has no track names, and I'm guessing you already have that. As for the other Star Wars Video Game scores, I recommend Republic Commando as the best for its Mandalorian choir, with The Force Unleashed coming in second. Dark Forces and Rogue Squadron are older titles and as such have a very MIDI-like sound to them that does not even pretend to be a full orchestra, but have some interesting new themes in them nonetheless. The Sith Lords is mostly short tracks intended to loop or sting rather than full suites.

Here is a total of about 13 minutes of Capitol Productions Stock Music. This was stock music that Capitol Records issued sometime in the 1950's for anyone to use. Younger forum members may have heard some of this in Ren and Stimpy while old farts like me can recall it from early TV shows and cartoons as well as many B movies. The composers are John Seely, George Hormel, Jack Shaindlin and Ib Glindeman.

I guess it is time I started giving back here. I have updated my list of soundtracks. Please take a look at the list [Only registered and activated users can see links]
Please request here, or send me a pm.
A few notes:
-Soundtracks that are DVD rips and have sfx on them are labeled: (SFX)
-As much as I love Hans Zimmer, he tends to upset me with his amount of re-used themes. For this, he does not get listed on albums that he is not the only composer on, the secondary composer is listed for record keeping.

Thanks a ton for all the Star Wars video game music MadKalnod! Getting closer to gathering all the Star Wars video game music is becoming complete.
Which ones have you got that aren't on my list? I just posted everything I have in that last batch with the exception of Battlefront 2, and Empire at War: Forces of Corruption and Rogue Squadron 3: Rebel Strike, which had already been posted in the last month.

Very cool!
Thank ye agin, Robertkrelle! I did finf that one some time ago, and it's quite spiffy. Until Series 4 was released, it was the only place to hear "The Dark and Endless Dalek Night," "The Rueful Fate of Donna Noble," and "Song of Freedom." Needless to say, that convinced me of the pressing need to obtain the eventual Series 4 score.

warfy2, I don't have the itunes release (I actually don't like that one... its not very complete and has a bunch of dialog from the movie on it) but I do have the bootleg release of the score.
EDIT: Also, using the search function here is once again a useful tool. Why people don't try it first I am never sure.
The itunes release is here:

Mr. Parker,
A SHITLOAD of Friday the 13th scores/soundtracks (mostly scores) were just posted at the Inferno Music Crypt (I believe I referred you once to this site before). Search that blog too for the extended Goonies score/soundtrack. If you seek it, it will come...
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
Also, per your Edward Scissorhands request: I recommend you get hold of the 20-track complete version, which is much more official and high quality sounding (320k). The 27-track one (192k) is just a DVD rip, and we all know the problems inherent in those. I used to have both, but I burned them to disc and deleted the remnants. All my sources have run dry as well. But I'm sure you'll have better luck tracking down the 20-track version...

Whoa, all my blog searching and I've never stumbled upon this place! Thanks for the heads up, budarc.
It's just that I've been hanging around here for over a year, at first it was to mine the Godzilla music on this thread: [Only registered and activated users can see links] then I came onto this side not only mine more ost's but to try out some new scores and also learn a few things (before I arrived I didn't know what 'ost' was- I was still useing the term 'soundtrack'!). So I only felt it proper that I put something back, and looking at my Megaupload account there has been a response to my posts.
So today I would like to share with anyone interested the first soundtrack- sorry 'ost'- that I ever owned, the RCA version of Barry Gray's music from the first season of Space: 1999. And you get it here:

Not sure why it has to be so hard for them to release the score or even the album for Friday the 13th. The producers of F13 are vocal about how much they love Jablonsky's score for it, so why on earth isn't it available? sheesh.

I use DVDVideoSoft at: [Only registered and activated users can see links] It's a free system that allows not only Youtube rips, but editing, mp3 conversion, jpeg captures and all sorts of goodies. If I can't find an ost here, I can sometimes find the tracks on Youtube.

My Fair Lady, 1956 Original Broadway cast recording:
Part 1 ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
Part 2 ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
This version has Rex Harrison and Julie Andrews, which is at least a start. My understanding is that the main difference is that this version is in mono, but reviewers tended to prefer it to the later stereo London recording.

This is a collection of SEVEN cds with over SEVEN HOURS of music by the great Bill Conti. I should warn you ahead of time that this collection of music is both orgasmic and repetitive. If you love repeating themes then you will have a blast.
North and South is an Epic miniseries from the 80s about the civil war based on novels. From what i can get off the site, there were two books and each one was made into a series.
I characterize the music as warm, epic, grand, sweeping, powerful. The music is all recorded with full orchestra so there are numerous uses of horns, strings, percussion, everything you would expect. The main melodies in this collection are absolutely stunning. As soon as i heard the samples on Varese Sarabande's web site I had to order them and thanks to them being in my state, I got the music quickly.

So I E-mailed One Of The Exec's At Traveller's Tales [They Make The Lego Video Games] One Of Them Said :
Hi Zackary,
Thanks for your email its always great to get positive comments like yours about are games we are so happy that you have enjoyed them.
LEGO Jurassic Park is a fantastic suggestions and is very popular suggestion from the people who email us. However I cant comment on how possible it is for it to become a reality you’ll just have to wait an see what we have in store for the future.
I can tell you that we have a new DS game out this summer called LEGO Battles so if your looking for your next LEGO fix I suggest you keep a look out for it when it is released.
Thanks again.
Vince.
Let's Hope For A JP Lego ;)

You guys need to slow down. I'm having a hard time keeping up with all the new posts here. ;)
Anyway, in the meantime (since the downfall of this forum), I've been very busy. Check out my new blog: My shrine/emporium of Danny Elfman finds!
