Its also on iTunes for the same asking price of 19.99 and the first disk is the score, the second is actual music from the movie itself, with score tracks and what appears to be bits of dialogue mixed in.

Flac is mostly for audiophiles who want to get the experience of listening to the music as if they had the CD in without having to dig up the CDs. It is especially prevalent in the Classical music circles. You can pretty much burn a cd directly from the flac files with the right software and have your own exact copy of the album without having to buy it.

Just checked to confirm on the iTunes sample list...the soundtrack goes...23 tracks from the score itself, which doesnt include the track Aquarium from the trailers, as the torrent soundtracks added that one unofficially...then theres 23 tracks from the film itself, 10 of which are a hybrid of the score and dialogue from Pitt and Blanchett, and are limited to the more worthwhile bits of dialogue. Hadnt realized that there was that much on the second disc, but they are individual tracks. Doesnt sound all that bad either. Actually kinda refreshing.

Just fyi to any horror buffs, this show (2 seasons worth I think) was actually pretty damn good. If you've seen the new one Fear Itself (which got cancelled on ABC I presume), then the MoH series was like 10 steps above it. So far I've netflixed them and I would highly recommend the episodes: Larry Cohen's Pick me Up, Takashi Miike's Imprint, John Carpenter's Cigarette Burns, and Right to Die. But then and again, I'm a horror affecionado.

I don't know if you've tried this, but if I'm desparate for a track that I've found on YouTube, I download the video with save2pc, then use WinFF to convert the file into just an MP3. It works, at least until I find a real replacement track.

There is no 3 disc promo. Only a 2 disc academy award promo. I can upload it if you like, but it's only 160 kbps.

There is a 3 disc set, but it's just the academy promo mixed with film rips which aren't really worth listening to.

You should use WinZip ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), the original is still the best ;)

the only problem is that winzip is not available for mac os x :(. I have tried the build in zip-programm that usually starts after I download something with safari, but all it says is "decrompession failed". It has done that on numerous occasions before - usually when the file is protected by a password - but this time opening the programm with three other unzip programms has also failed and all I get is either "wrong password" or the programm unzips the file but there's nothing in the folder.
I have downloaded the file three times already but all I get is the same error, even when I import it into my WinXP partition.

Still, thx for the advice tho.

I searched so long for this relict of my childhood... I remember sitting in front of an old (black/white) TV watching this show... Sadly, this promo lacks of an instrumental version of the main theme from Eddie Jobson :-(

I partially agree with you on the shit quality of some Bootleg Complete Scores, but please, consider also this:

As far as I know, those complete scores are rips of the DVD's Audio Track... sometimes music and sound effects are mixed on the same track, and trying to remove the effects reduces the actual quality of background music.

What I'm trying to say is basically: "Yes, it's shit, but it's the best we can get if the composer doesn't release an official complete score".
