There will be no Indiana Jones music release on the 15th.
The box set with new Indiana Jones music that you are looking for, was released last November, and there are a couple of threads here on the board, where you can find it.

Sanico,

I've been reviewing your list of soundtracks, and you have a couple I've been looking for. Among them, Babe and King Solomon's Mines.

If you could put those two up for me (or direct me to existing links), I would be ever so grateful. :) Thanks!

But if it's for the TV Series soundtrack of Babe, composed by Goldsmith, which is what i actually have, then let me know and i'll upload it for you, along with King Solomon's Mines.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has the score for E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, and perhaps of good quality? Mine is only 128kpbs and has a weird "scratch-like" sound that can be heard every-so-often in some tracks.

The score I have is the 1996 one (18 tracks).

Thanks in advance, and thanks to everyone else who have shared their scores.

Wow, that one is quite rare. Bravo!

Just for a cultural purpose, here's what the composer said about this score:

From Buysoundtrax.com ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

Q: Leprechaun was a wonderful, again, very dark kind of score. How would you describe your approach to that film?

Kevin Kiner: I wrote in the liner notes on the CD that one of the great frustrations I had in researching Irish music for that film was that they’ve never had a big, huge hit song that’s in minor. Even “Danny Boy,” which is their saddest song, is in the major key. And so one of my big challenges was to make this kind of leprechaunish sound happen, but it had to be in minor, because it’s a horror movie. But I
found that the piccolo worked well, and that became the sound you hear with the Irish pipes. I don’t remember now exactly what my thinking was, except to make a good melody. It was important, because it’s a leprechaun, to harken to that kind of Irish melody, and yet to be crazy/scary at times. That was a bit eclectic. When there were horror scenes going on then I would just have the big rhythmic stuff going on, and I would use the clusters like everybody else does. I remember one scene where the leprechaun was chasing them through the woods and I this [mimics a fast paced rhythm cue], which has become very fashionable these days to do, with the slashing, mercato strings, as they were going through the woods. That was back in the early days and I don’t know who else did that then. Maybe Danny [Elfman] and I were the only ones doing that. But that was a big deal, and then I’d have the piccolo flourish over that to give the Irish feel to it.

Q: That becomes almost like an ostinato. You hear the Irish music and it’s not a fun thing to hear, it means the leprechaun is coming to get you!

Kevin Kiner: That’s right. Exactly. Whenever you hear the Irish music, you’re in trouble! That’s very true.

Q: I’ve never been able to listen to Irish music the same way again!

Kevin Kiner: That’s funny. I never thought of it that way! I just sort of take it scene by scene.

If you like DCAU music, support this release and purchase it. Downloading it just proves the point they've had for all these years of BTAS music not being released. If you download the BTAS release, it will mean less of a chance that La La Land will do more volumes.

So please, do not download the Batman score. Support the work of Shirley Walker and purchase it the right way.

But the release is guaranteed beauty. That's all I'm saying. There's no need to test drive Batman: The Animated Series.

As I pointed out in the JLU thead...

Kal

YOuc ould sya that to any score or music release though, pretty pointless statement if you as me as you are here to do what the rest of us are here to do, and thats download scores without purchasing them!!

Not that i mean to mock or contradict you as i think it is wise to buy scores as well, otherwise they would never be released. However, people will buy and people willupload and people will download. This is whats been going on since i had access to the net about 14 years ago, it aint gonna change.
If places like lalaland and fsm, vcl etc gave a care about people downloading instead of buying, they wouldnt release it as a limited release, that way there would be more to buy and more people would buy. If you release it as a 1000 unit release, only 1000 can buy it, the rest are gonna download lol...
Simple as mate!.

I agree with you, Sirus. CD's cost a lot of money to purchase, especially when to get some of them you have to also pay shipping charges out the wazzoo. I like to know that the album I am buying is worth the money I am spending on it.

I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but I'm looking for:

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids – James Horner
Leprechaun – Kevin Kiner
Puppet Master I & II – Richard Band
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow – Edward Shearmur
Spy Kids – Various Artists
Time After Time – Miklos Rozsa

Been searching around everywhere but nothing seems to turn up except dead ends and broken links. :(

I can upload those. Give me some time and I will uploaded them.

Best !!!

garcia27, thanks a bunch for the first few albums. Got a question: Is the Sky Captain score you have the expanded one (2 disc) or the issued OST (1 disc)? Because I'm just looking for the shorter one. But if it is the longer one, I can always trim it down anyway.

Anxiously awaiting the rest! :D Thanks again.

that would be the soundtrack....there never was a score album released for those films, as there never was never any score for the films. Tarantino did however pick from classic Morricone & Herrmann scores as well as various others. So you can pick up the official soundtracks for the films (which i believe is littered with dialogue) or go out and individually get the original source material.

OK, so where is it? If it is out, why can't I go to Borders, Best Buy, or any other local record store and purchase it? This is another thing that drives me absolutely bonkers in the search for soundtracks: stores do not order enough copies to go around, or they just make you have to get them off of their website and stick you with the shipping costs. It would not be so bad if these smaller companies (I am leering in your direction, LaLaLand) had some kind of deal to sell digital downloads through someone.

Ok, I feel a bit better now. Sorry for the vent.

I really understand your anger, but record stores are not the best place to buy soundtracks.
Film/VG music is not mainstream music, but just a niche market targeted to a small portion of customers, so that's why you don't see on those stores, the soundtrack music section as big as in others music genres.
The best way to buy soundtracks in these days, is through online retailers, more specifically at online soundtrack labels websites.

I find that barnes and noble has a quite large selection of film scores but (1) they are always MSRP and (2) they rarely have new releases on time. Best Buy generally only has scores to something popular like TDK or Harry Potter. The best and really only way to get soundtracks is through the internet so you should be glad that you have a way to purchase them. I generally order two or three CDs at a time through amazon and get free shipping. Also, Bestbuy sometimes has deals for the less popular items on their web site to give you free shipping so that they can sell to customers who want to buy and not waste valuable shelf space. The WORST thing though is that when Japanese soundtracks get American releases (Blue Dragon, Devil May Cry 4) by the awesome Sumthing Else Music Works, not a single store carries it so you are again forced to buy online. It really pissed me off at first but like Sanico says thats just the way it goes for niche markets :(

Anyway, why would you pay for mp3s when you can pay a little bit more to order the actual album. I would pay for nothing less than lossless digital files.

Ok go into the flac program and say open files and it will show them on the list. Then click decode and it will give you .wav files. Then you can use razorlame (lame GUI) and encode them to mp3s or burn them to a cd from wav.

hi folks,
does anyone have the score to "chris colorado"? It was a french animated television show that ran in 2001. The music was composed by a guy named Fabrice Aboulker.
The other thing I'm looking for is the score to an obsucre Scifi-movie from the early 90s named Solar Crisis with music composed by Maurice Jarre and Michael Boddicker.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out here :)
Cheers
