Hey everyone!
It's been a while, however I watched one of the artsiest independent short films I've even seen over the Halloween era and I was really looking for the music to go along with it. The movie is called Street of Crocodiles, but I was really looking for the score to the movie by Lech Jankowski (or Leszek might be the first name). I'm pretty sure this individual did the music to their other shorts and its such a dark orchestral rendition that's just plain... scary.

I would really appreciate a point in the right direction for this soundtrack cause it really is that amazing.

btw, all of the Brothers Quay shorts are basically on youtube, so check them out one of these days.

I'm not sure if they ever did release a soundtrack for "Street Of Crocodiles", although I think a compilation of is work for the Brothers Quay shorts was released back in the day...(back in the day...I'm old). However, a soundtrack the Quay Brothers' feature length "Institute Benjamenta, or This Dream People Call Human Life" was released.

Of all Dune related soundtracks, Frank Herbert's Dune is my least favourite.
i don't particularly like the heavy use of synthetizers that Revell use in this soundtrack. And there is no memorable theme that catch your attention.
I would recommend you Tyler's Children of Dune or Toto's Dune original soundtrack.

I suspect you should be able to find a high res scan on amazon.com or if not a quick google search should bring it up. Amazon has great high res album artwork easily available for most albums.

Those would be the only conditions I would agree to for $50.00...but we all know that 85-90 % of the links at WOS are 192 or less most of the time. The owner of WOS is gonna quickly find out that this was a bad idea and that maybe it would have been better to make it an invite only blog.

As you should!!! Just keep in mind that as of now it is only airing in the UK right now so you would have to find it on torrent sites although thankfully it seems to be quite easy to find. Eventually we may see a release on tv here because NBC bought the rights but i doubt they would keep the sexy British boys.

Good News and Bad News.

The Good News is that I have obtained the Teen Titans: Trouble In Tokyo score by Kristopher Carter, Michael McCuistion, and Lolita Ritmanis. It's got some quite nifty bits, and is reminiscient of their work on Batman Beyond.

The Bad News is that I have no idea when I'll be able to post it. I'm writing this at work as the computer that I normally use to rip and upload CDs is sitting in pieces, because the house is having new floors put in, and the room it used to be in is filled with nothing but contractors and stacked lumber now. As soon as I have somewhere to set it up again, I'll let you know.

Although Digitalstrike has left, I hope he gets a chance to read this, as he seems to have some misunderstanding on what the proper etiquette is when loading a soundtrack from someone else's site.

The proper etiquette as I understand it is this:

If you find a score from another site you want to share on this one here is what you should do. Download the score from the original site, then reupload it yourself and put the link for your upload on here.

Other sites do NOT like people posting their links because it uses up their bandwidth. They rarely object to something being reposted as long as you are using your own bandwidth.

It is also appropriate to give credit where credit is due, namely where you found the score.

So by uploading these scores from his own links, Digital was doing the correct thing.

Just finding an uplink from someone else and posting it here is the inappropriate thing to do.

Not everytime. Actually, when you post the name/link of a blog you're putting its existence in danger. The more one blog gets noticed, the more the chances that it gets deleted... the same applies to its owner, he/she might deal with legal issues. You also say it's inappropriate to steal a link... even this it's not totally correct: if the link still works, by sharing it you're keeping it active, because someone download from it.

Cannot agree with you about posting someone else's link. It IS inappropriate; most of the blog owners I know - this is the thing that steams them the most. Keeping the link active, is an excuse not a reason, and it is neither here nor there, anyway.

Sure, I know a lot of folks routinely post other people's links, that does not make it right. You want to share something, you should upload it yourself. It's called manners.
Well, we have different thoughts about the subject. While I do understand you're point, I think it's stupid to waste time downloading something that you're going to reup exactly like you got it, especially if there's already a working link. No manners? Points of view. Waste of time to reup something without changing it a bit? Again, points of view. I was an owner of 4 so called sharing blogs (Closed because of copyright violation notifications), and I did find my links were used on some sharing sites... I didn't get upset, though, actually I was quite happy, the most important thing to me was the aliveness of the links, and all those stealers indirectly helped me with that.

Other than that, I find quite funny the fact that someone gets angry at link stealers, since they're allowing someone to steal the music in the first place (Want a Soundtrack? Buy it. Want to hear all the music of a game? Buy the game and rip it yourself... those were the answers I got through the ages). By uploading the soundtrack/music the blog's owner helps someone to steal it, that's a fact. Link stealers/music stealers, I don't think there's much difference between them: one is stealing the time spent to upload the stuff, the other the time spent searching/buying/ripping the music.
