I don't think this is what he meant Zoran, This is basically just the soundtrack that was already released. I am also looking for a more complete version of this score. It sucks cause it's missing some of the best action cues in the films, such as the scenes where he escapes the facility and fights the tanks, Assult Choppers and The Jets. All this great music is missing from this soundtrack which really boggles me.

What does everyone think about Rapidshare's legal problems. It looks like they might be forced to shut down for good after this latest ruling in the beginning of Oct.

Germany's Hamburg district court has ruled that RapidShare uses insufficient measures to protect against piracy. The court ruled that the service must not just remove material for which it receives copyright complaints, it must proactively check content before it is made available online, at least in the case of users with previous infringements.

That won't matter as the cost of policing the content, proactively, would out weigh the profit forcing it to close. The court order is also forcing them to log IP addresses. This would put a certain blog that has almost 4000 rs links dead in the water instantaneously.

I've just red 5 articles in french and english, and they all say the same:

- RS must check the content before giving access to the file, "proactively check content before publishing it", and remove it if illegal.

- Rapidshare has to log IP addresses of "potential infringers."

That's a heavy task, but even if RS closes, there are dozens of other hosts available. There will be a small transition period, but things will be back to normal rather quickly for blogs and forums.

And once again, checking content is very hard or even impossible for password-protected stuff. They won't be able to apply the court's decision in that case.

That's right - the mother enterprise of rapidshare stays in austria (correct me if I'm wrong) and has built up some kind of franchising-system... a mc donalds of hosting ;-)

Although the german courts can only judge for our (I'm living there) national purposes, it would have results in the whole concern.

I agree with you - we should give passwords and "alienated" filenames!
For example "OFD-JNH.rar" for "One Fine Day - James Newton Howard" + password "Howard"...

We were both right!!! I just read excerpts from the original german texts and our "GEMA" (a firm of the state to protect the rights of german(!) artists), effected two injunctions against rapidshare.de (german enterprise, and has nothing to with rapidshare.com) and rapidshare.com.

rapidshare.de is, after it's a german enterprise, in duty and has to present the results of their "controlling methods" to the court. They got a deadline, but don't ask how long.

rapidshare.com instead, has nothing to do with the german law system, since it's located in Switzerland (I just found out). Now they are only laughing about the inconveniences of the german GEMA. It was a fault of their lawyer (HAHAHA!).

I hope I brought some light in the dark :-)

Hey, if anybody else owns Elfman's promo CD for Good Will Hunting, can you tell me if the timing on the individual tracks are all out of sync......meaning one track doesn't finish until about 45 secs or so into the next........if that makes any sense.

The promo I have is 38 mins.....however what I'm trying to say is, for example:
track 1 : The song itself, "Main Titles" doesn't really finish until 26 secs into the 2nd track...where the 2nd track doesn't start until the 27 sec mark.....so if i'm listening to it from start to finish I don't notice...but if I jump to a certain track, I get the last 25 secs or so of one song then the correct song starts, however it ends 25 secs too early, as it bleeds into the next one..so what should separate each track is off by roughly 24 seconds.

I'm making the kind of sense that doesn't, aren't I?

upon closer inspection, I've found that the copy I do have is infact defected....it should run 26:56, like BBsee said, and instead is 38:36 mins...(I thought the score was a little repetitive:P)......so now I'm on the hunt for a better copy of the promo..........thanks.

Wow, Zoran, thanks for the find... I really appreciate it.

The film gave me the creeps when I first saw it as a kid in the mid 80s, well it hasn't affected me as much now. I believe this is the best that one can get from this soundtrack, and you're right it is a rare find and I am forever thankful for this.

I certainly will nab at Bauhaus' Bela Lugosi's Dead tomorrow.

I have the complete that I have remastered from the 320kbps version posted by MadKalnold monthes ago. I think there really is a difference between my remastered version and the original that would be burned directly from the mp3's. Indeed I had to give a little power and deepness to the whole, as to manage the small noise in the highs. Here you'll be able to play with the basses and the highs as you wish without complaining ! :) Nevertheless, you' ll observe (as I didn't remaster it tracks by tracks) that there can be sometime a difference between a track and another as for the original, if your hears are as sensitives as mine. However You won' t pay attention more than two times and it just really worth it, I think. Tell me if you want me to post it in FLAC because It would be a pleasure for me to share it with you (my savior !):love: .

Does anyone happen to have the soundtrack for "Gakkou no Kaidan 2?" It's also known as "Gakkou no Kwaidan 2" or "Haunted School 2."

It's a Japanese movie from 1996 and I really like the score. I know, it's kind of odd that I request the second one (and not the first), but it's the only one I've seen.

I have tried searching the net and can't even figure out if it was ever released or not, so this might be one of those "impossible" requests (like my previous John Williams "Music of NBC" was). :( It also becomes confusing because there is apparently an Anime by the same title that came out in the early 2000's.

Turn's out someone figured out a way of getting past this and posted it on the report problems with gh thread. Basically you need to copy the link location, paste it in a new tab, then type ( or copy and paste ) in the remainder of the link from what is listed on the link page. You should be able to download then. I have tried this method on a number of links that said they were invalid and it worked. Thus far.

It seems that any links that use an apostrophe in the link name lose everything after that apostrophe. That's what causes the invalid problem.

Yeah its listed on amazon.com with music by Marco Beltrami and Buck Sanders. The cd doesn't come out till Nov 18th though. I wasn't very big fan of the music in the movie though to tell you the truth so it isn't much worth waiting for.

And believe me stay away from the Max Phail movie for your own good.

It removed my default .zip program, also, made my PC so slow, when i uninstalled it, it removed quite alot of my system files that my other programs didn't want to work or that i could do anything on my PC. That's why i stay as far as i can from WinZip and WinRAR, since i had trouble and bad experiance with them both.

Thay's one of the weirdest thing I've heard. Winrar is a light, fast, totally harmless program, used by millions of people.

Maybe you had a hacked version containing a trojan or a virus. Reinstall a clean version downloaded from their website.

For information, The ATTACK OF THE CLOWNS you posted here is the equivalent of a bootleg made by a fan a few months ago with the following materials: the score / some dvd rips / some cues from the recording sessions that have been found in the video game.

Hey, I watched this movie. It's about clowns revolting and creating an army to destroy humanity. They killed people by making them laugh to death with hilarous jokes. Quite a good movie...

It is a housemade remaster of the 320 kbps version that most of us have found on the net.

What does it sound like compared to the original ?
Hope you'll tell me. But I think if you compare them on a computer you may not be convinced of the interest. It is made to be experienced on your Stereo Hi-Fi and I have no doubt you will apreciate the clarity, the power (despite a bit lower general volume as far as I remember), and mostly the absence of this noisy whistling in the highs ! I think I'm close to an official release quality, though the original mp3's are surely seductive enough for most people. Would I have been able to give the highs just a tiny bit stronger, I would have called it "Perfect". Anyway it is the most perfect version I made of this album.

Please let me know about your experience of it Barzacula... and anyryone who would care :) !
(And please don't judge after the first 15 secs track's sound. I should have work this one alone but I didn' t).

IMPORTANT BEFORE BURNING: 0" pause is required at tracks 3 and 16 on disc 1.

George Lucas made the terrible mistake to underestimate the SW fans by trying to show them that he was capable to direct again after more than 20 years of his last work as a director... The drama was unreal, Jar-Jar was awful, the acting was even worst and the best of the movie was the magnificent pieces of John Williams (once again), besides of Natalie Portman :)

PS: I fell asleep during the pod-race sequence too, and I woke up few minutes before the end credits...

Am I the only one here who actually likes the prequels? Yeah, they're not on the level of ANH or Empire(at least TPM isn't, but I love AOTC and ROTS), but I love them either way. They're fun movies that, just like the originals, don't try to be anything more than what they are. I dig them, myself. Even Episode I for what it is. It's still Star Wars to me, so I can't help but get some enjoyment out of it.

But I agree that the pod race sucks. Waste of so much time.
