I am sorry for mis-quoting you...I would however look forward to the Star Trek Voyger/Enterprise rips.

Alphaleon, go for it buddy ! ;)

No problem, Zoran. I always thought the music in Voyager and Enterprise was awesome, despite the fact that the Trek theme was so rarely used on those shows.

And I too am looking forward to your EF rip, Alphaleon. :D

I use Analog X Vocal Remover(which is a free program) to isolate the music. It doesn't always work and I need a DVD rip of the audio for it to actually work. Sometimes the sound is just mixed in a certain way that it's impossible, and other times it sounds awesome. It's pretty much a 50/50 shot. Once I have a DVD rip of the audio, I take it into Sony Vegas and use Analog X. After that, I go through the audio, clean up any loose sound effects, separate the music out into tracks and name them. Then I put them into a nice little folder and that's it. It's fairly simple, but it takes a lot of work to clean up all of the little, tiny sound effects that can still linger here and there.

Hope that helps.

Kal

Cool ! I am going to have to give that method a try...I only know how to capture audio using my video capture card and recording it with an aplication called Crystal Recorder. BTW my rip of Red Dwarf seasons/series 1 - 8 will be posted as soon as I tweak it a bit.

I'd like to thank everybody for the birthday wishes!

I'd also like to point out that I'm going to be busy for a little bit bringing something I've been working on to fruition. If any of you are in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area, you may want to look into this:

Eisner award nominated cartoonist Brad J. Guigar (creator of the comic strips Evil, Inc. ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), Greystone Inn ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), Phables ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), and Courting Disaster ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), author of The Everything Cartooning Book, and co-author of How to Make Webcomics) will be selling signed copies of his books and original sketches at Hall of Heroes, Moorestown Mall, 400 Route 38 Moorestown, NJ on Saturday, September 13th, 2008, from Noon to 5:00 PM. All money raised will be used to buy and ship comics and graphic novels to our troops overseas as part of the Heroes For Heroes Project.

Additionally, people interested in helping can donate their own comics and graphic novels, or purchase new ones to donate at a reduced price at any of the following locations throughout the rest of the year:

The Comic Book Store
30 North Main Street
Glassboro, NJ 08208
(856) 442-0402

Hall of Heroes, Hamilton Mall

Level Up Entertainment
Tilton Times Plaza Space A

At the beginning of January, everything collected will be sent to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces serving in the War on Terror, as a morale booster and as recognition that they are truly Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

I'm not going to be posting for the next couple of days because I've got flyers to print, press releases to distribute, etc.

You have spent the time to re upload OSTs even when they were already uploaded, my God you deserve a big OMG award. Just popping in between e-mailing press releases, but I want to say you're 31 Flavors of Awesome, Zoran! If you do contact a store and contribute long-distance, let me make two recommendations:

1. Call the Mays Landing Hall of Heroes, and ask for Ralph (or Ray, if it's a Sunday). They're my regular Friendly Neighborhood Comics Shop, Ralph's my right-hand man in keeping on top of this, and I'm usually there Saturday afternoon/evenings, so the two of us should be able to do it smoothly.

2. So as to limit duplication of effort, here's what I've put in the box so far:
DC – Batman – Arkham Asylum: Living Hell TP
DC – Batman – Bruce Wayne: Murderer? TP
DC – Batman – Bruce Wayne: Fugitive Volume 1 TP
DC – Batman – Bruce Wayne: Fugitive Volume 2 TP
DC – Batman – Bruce Wayne: Fugitive Volume 3 TP
DC – Batman – Detective TP
DC – Batman – Death and the City TP
DC – Batman – Hush Part 1 TP
DC – Batman – Hush Part 2 TP
DC – Batman – Hush Returns TP
DC – Batman – The Long Halloween TP
DC – Justice League of America – Volume 1: New World Order TP
DC – Superman/Batman – Volume 1: Public Enemies TP
DC – Superman/Batman – Volume 2: Supergirl TP
DC – Superman/Batman – Volume 3: Absolute Power TP
DC – DC/Marvel Crossover Classics Collection Volume II TP
DC – DC/Marvel Crossover Classics Collection Volume IV TP
DC – DC/Top Cow Crossover Classics Collection TP
Marvel – Amazing Spider-Man – Volume 1: Coming Home TP
Marvel – Amazing Spider-Man – Volume 2: Revelations TP
Marvel – Amazing Spider-Man – Volume 3: Until the Stars Turn Cold TP
Marvel – Amazing Spider-Man – Volume 4: The Life and Death of Spiders TP
Marvel – Sensational Spider-Man – Feral TP
Marvel – The Incredible Hulk – Boiling Point TP

I hope you had a great day and if karma were kind to you then you are sharing some time with a redheaded costume wearing honey.(redheads are my preference as well)

Best wishes,

- Z

Funnily enough, I have been spending time with a cute redhead lately (and she's working on a costume of Liz Sherman from Hellboy :naughty: :swoon:  ), but even better, she's offered to take a few dozen of my cards when she goes to Baltimore Comic Con in a few weeks to recruit more artists and other comics pros to do more signings! I'd marry her and have her babies if I didn't suspect the age difference was insurmountable.

I just bought something Madkalnod had on his list although i didn't notice until after i was checking if it was up in any threads. It seems nobody ever requested it (because really his list is so long its hard to see everything) If anyone is interested, i could upload a 2cd The Greatest Cinema Choral Classics i ripped myself in 320kbps mp3s. Its really awesome and all performed by a live orchestra and choir.

From the list, it contains songs from the following movies.
Excalibur, The Scarlet Letter, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, The Da Vinci Code, Conan the Barbarian, 1492: Conquest of Paradise, The Double Life of Veronique, King Kong, The Mission, The Abyss, Amistad, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, The Lion in Winter, The Omen, Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Edward Scissorhands, The Passion of the Christ, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Les Choristes, The Last Valley, The Sum of All Fears, The Empire of the Sun, If, How the West Was Won, Saving Private Ryan, & Henry V – performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic and the Crouch End Festival Chorus

Madkalnod,

First off, that's awesome what you're doing. I recently sent a package of comics to my friend who's fighting overseas and I know he really appreciated it. You said to let you know of other comic shops to see if they'd want to get involved, right? Well Comic Swap in State College, PA would probably get involved. They're a really cool bunch of guys. [Only registered and activated users can see links]

Secondly, don't worry about reuploading the Superman score, I did finally manage to find it on another site. I still have yet to find a working download link for the bootleg extended versions of the first two Batman scores, though. If anyone could help me out with that it would be much appreciated.

And I don't want to seem like a greedy begger, but I have one more request. In July, LaLaLand Records released a 2 disc complete score to the 1987 Masters of the Universe live action film by Bill Conti. I was planning on buying it with my next paycheck, but I found out that they're already completely sold out of it. If anyone happens to have it and wouldn't mind hooking a massive He-Man fan up it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again.

Oh, I asked this in the forum guidelines thread but it hasn't been answered yet. Is it against the rules to post links to uploads that you didn't create and/or links to another site? Because I recently came across a set of complete scores to a certain trilogy that's no longer a trilogy that I'm sure a lot of people would want, but being new around these parts I wanted to make sure it was cool to link to it before I posted it so as not to break any rules.

Are these original performances or new versions with a dedicated orchestra and choir ?

is there a reason why my last request was ignored?

As I said on page 162:

I'd also like to point out that I'm going to be busy for a little bit bringing something I've been working on to fruition. If any of you are in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area, you may want to look into this:

Eisner award nominated cartoonist Brad J. Guigar (creator of the comic strips Evil, Inc., Greystone Inn, Phables, and Courting Disaster, author of The Everything Cartooning Book, and co-author of How to Make Webcomics) will be selling signed copies of his books and original sketches at Hall of Heroes, Moorestown Mall, 400 Route 38 Moorestown, NJ on Saturday, September 13th, 2008, from Noon to 5:00 PM. All money raised will be used to buy and ship comics and graphic novels to our troops overseas as part of the Heroes For Heroes Project.

I'm not going to be posting for the next couple of days because I've got flyers to print, press releases to distribute, etc.

I'll also be working on making an incentive to encourage contributions.

I gotta get to work on those, so I'm outta here. Later, y'all.

Give me until next week to put this event to bed before I sart uploading anything else. Don't ruin things for yourself by being impatient now. I'm frazzled enough without my inbox pinging me with repeated requests.

I think FINK was refering to the new Buffy release by Rounder that just came out today. The other Buffy's (which are great by the way and highly recommended, especially season 2) are the promos. The new Rounder release has some music not released on the promos. I would also love to hear the new release.

And here's a rare gem that I'd been searching for for YEARS that I finally managed to find, so I thought I'd share it if anyone's interested. It's the soundtrack to the 1971 film Bram Stoker's Count Dracula by Bruno Nicolai. That's the one Dracula film starring Christopher Lee that wasn't a Hammer film. The track names are all in Italian, I believe. Unfortunately the album doesn't include my favorite piece from the film, the full orchestra version of the theme played during the opening and end credits, but I finally just found a DVD copy of this as well, so once it arrives in the mail I'll have to rip it and include it.

Hey Zoran, thanks for remembering Moonlighting and Tintin! The moonlighting one I have already, I was more looking for any of the background orchestra music played in all the different eps, even if it was a fanmade version, but I do appreciate your looking. Tintin is the real treat and a incredibly rare find thank you very much!

As for me, I am doing a little better... a little more "focused" for lack of a better word, but still very tired and drained. Am looking into some kind of brain wave study thing, because I occassionally get what I call "the jitters", which is like a mini convulsion for 5-10 seconds as I start to go to sleep. I didn't really notice it much as anything to be concerned about until I bit down on my tongue recently and I couldn't unclench my jaw or move until the "jitters" had passed. It doesn't happen often maybe 2-3 times a month, but I suppose its not normal and needs looked into. My doctor recommended a brain wave sort of study that I am looking into, but not sure I can afford with almost no income... time will tell. Anyways the tiger will survive one way or another. :)

I will be back in fuller capacity on the board very soon, still sorting through life stuff and looking for work.

Hi everyone! My nephew's turning 8 next week and I want to make him something special. He's obsessed with Alvin and the Chipmunks (my fault I'm afraid) so I'm putting together a compilation of as many of their songs as I can get my hands on. So, with that in mind I humbly request the soundtrack to "The Chipmunk Adventure" by Randy Edelman, made in 1987. Thank you.

A couple of questions, also (if you'll indulge me): what is the Josesph LoDuca album Necrenomicon? I've never heard of it.

H.P. Lovecraft, the well-known horror writer, is looking in the late thirties after the book 'Necronomicon'. He finds it guarded by monks in an old library. He then copies some stories from it, which unfold for our eyes- and his.

This anthology is divided into four segments: "The Library" which is the wraparound segment involving Lovecraft's research into the Book of The Dead and his unwitting release of a monster and his writing of the following horror segments "The Drowned", "The Cold", and "Whispers".

Does the Nightmare on Elm Street 4 soundtrack include the song that's performed by Tuesday Knight over the opening credits?

Unfortunately no it does not which is the case of a lot of various artists soundtrack recordings. I remember seeing on a no defunct blog Tuesday Knight's album featuring the song in question however the link was dead and my request for a re-upload was never filled. Oh and I apologize that the "Get it" link in my list did not contain the download link. I am having to go back an do some re-uploads and the Nightmare post is still a work in progress.

What sorts of tracks appear on the Futurama soundtrack?

They seem to be cues primarily from the first and second seasons.

Ok Spike...O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Score will come later.

Cheers. :)

Unfortunately no it does not which is the case of a lot of various artists soundtrack recordings. I remember seeing on a no defunct blog Tuesday Knight's album featuring the song in question however the link was dead and my request for a re-upload was never filled.

I never knew she released an album. After reading this post, I did a little bit of hunting, and I found the album on this blog ([Only registered and activated users can see links]). You can download it here ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).

According to the blogger, it's a rip from a new casette tape -- I dunno if this ever even came out on CD -- and I'm not sure about the quality as I'm still downloading it, but I thought you'd be interested.

They seem to be cues primarily from the first and second seasons.[/B]

Is there music from the Titanic episode on the album?

The reason I asked about it is because I've got one that's called "Futurama Season One Promo", which consits of 20 tracks, a lot of which are untitled. If the one you have is a different album, would ou mind upload it, too?

Understandable to an extent. It is quite sad that repeating myself would "tick people off" but I assume that this is really not that surprising. You must forgive me, I just saw "Burn After Reading" again and they are not selling it in stores, so alas I will just have to wait. I forgot that I posted my request, but now going back I see I have posted two other times for it. So I believe I have learned this invaluable lesson. Thanks and sorry for........repeating myself.
