Fabulous list, MadKalnod.

I was wondering if any of the VG OSTs you mention has a real orchestra score (or a very good synth simulating well enough an orchestra) ?

Have you heard Unlimited Saga ost? Absolutely beautiful orchestral score!! Also from the same composer, Masashi Hamauzu there is the Final Fantasy VII Dirge of Cerberus ost.

I also have a 7cd Dragon Quest orchestral compilation that is absolutely phenominal.

Chrono Cross ost by Yasunori Mitsuda is to die for, still one of my favorite osts to date, not so much orchestral but beautiful celtic sounding tracks. Tsugunai is also a beautiful Mitsuda with fantastic synths.

Finally my favorite composer, Hitoshi Sakimoto has done one of the best osts ever, FFT (ps1) and his two most recent, Gallian Chronicles and Romeo X Juliet were full orchestra (some tracks not so much but close) and his others like Odin Sphere, FFXII, Stella Deus, Opoona (sorta technoy) are amazing.

Also if you like more rock mixed in there is Motoi Sakuraba's stuff, specifically the beautiful Eternal Sonata with some piano mixed in from Chopin and the upcoming Tales of Vesperia and Infinite Undiscovery. Baten Kaitos is also phenominal and there are two osts of that, one for each game.

Then there is the beautiful music of Tenpei Sato that is synthed but sounds absolutely wonderful and the arrange albums are sorta orchestral. Disgaea, Phantom Brave, La Pucelle, Disgaea 2, are all fantastic.

Then there is the grandia music by Noriyuki Iwadare (grandia 1, 2, and 3) that is wonderful as well. Somewhat more towards the jazz side but still mostly orhcestral.

Tengai Makyou 3 and Okami are very beautiful traditional Japanese style orchestral music (okami is 4 discs).

Let me know if you are interested in any of those.

Hey MadKalnod, do you know where to find "Kangroo Jack" (promo) by Trevor Rabin?

You are aware that you've asked for this twice in the past ten days already?

You are aware that, when you asked most recently, I warned you about Breaking Ape Law, about that not being your first warning, and about the fact that OrangeC has lost his temper with you twice in his "Goldmine of Stuff" thread over this exact behavior?

You are aware of the Rules on such matters?

So when you ask me, directly by name, yet a third time in barely over a week, if I have Kangaroo Jack, you are aware what my answer's going to be, aren't you?

Let me put it in terms you can understand:

NO!

You've been here as long as I have, and you know the rules. I've warned you about them often enough, so you'd bloody well better know them. Whether you were too lazy to read them, too stupid to comprehend them, or too narcissistic to belive that they applied to you is irrelevant. All that matters is that I've had enough of you and your constant whining for the same stupid crap over and over and over again.

You're done, IM24CTU. I'm cutting you off and putting you on my Ignore list. I will never post anything you ask for again, and if somebody else wants it, I'll tell them no and point to you as the reason. Don't say I didn't give you fair warning.

And, since this is the last thing I'll ever say to you, let me get a couple things off my chest that have been wearing on my nerves for months.
* You have the most insufferably pretentious screen name I've ever seen. You are most assuredly not part of the 24 Counter Terrorism Unit. You are an irritating mouth-breather with no concept of deferred gratification.
* You have the musical tastes of a retarded 8-year-old suffering from a severe concussion. How many times did you pester us with incessantly repetitive requests for the scores to "Snow Day," "Max Keeble's Big Move," "The Stupids," and "Gone Fishin'"? Found them yet? I'm betting not. Do you know why? Because, apart from the composers' mothers, nobody else on the frakking planet but you gives a wet fart about them, let alone would want to expend the effort to obtain them to post in the first place.

Thank You, but this version is incomplete.
I have found this archive also on another soundtracks blog, but it's the same incomplete archive..... ;___;

I'm searching for the complete 41 score tracks....

I have a 2-disc, 41 track complete Batman, but it's a DVDrip that's riddled with SFX and dialogue echos. Do you still want it?

Does anybody have Christopher Young's UNFORGETTABLE promo score in a bright 320kbps version ? The one I found on a blog is really poor.

Thank you gentlemen !

I've got a version with a bit rate that varies from track to track. The low is 192 kbps and the high is 320 kbps, with a few 224s and a 256. Should I post that one, or would you rather hold out for an all-320 version?

I apologize again for not being here much lately. I really don't have much excuse as to why I haven't been. Life isn't particularly overwelming at the moment or anything like that.

I hope to fix this lack of being around here. And hopefully I shall have the outstanding requests up by tonight. I will at least have them ripped by tonight, and depending on how long it takes, should have them uploaded as well.

These I believe are the only requests I still have to upload.

Xena Volume 6
Heroes OST
Drop Zone

If I missed any requests please let me know, and I will add them to the list. thanks.

Fabulous list, MadKalnod.

I was wondering if any of the VG OSTs you mention has a real orchestra score (or a very good synth simulating well enough an orchestra) ?

Hmmm... Tough question. I can't remember off the top of my head, unfortunately. Are you talking about just the Trek ones mentioned above, or in all my VG score files in the general list linked in my sig? If the first, give me a few days to listen to them all and I'll let you know. If the second, give me a few months to listen to them all and I'll let you know.

MadKalnod, you've been such a help on these forums and as I was perusing your list, I was wondering if you could upload your "Best of Lucasarts" Compilation Album, your Red Dragon Complete score, or your Hellboy 3-disk Complete Album;
that would be wonderful!
I know that with my low postcount/since I just joined, my requests should go to the bottom of your list, so whenever you get a chance, I would be very grateful for them.

Incorrect. I fill requests in the order they are posted, not by ranking the requester's post count. Variables like "Is it conveniently on the hard drive of the home computer where I type this, or is it on a CD back in my office" may cause some requests to get pushed ahead or back in the line by a day or so, but I don't penalize newbies. Provided, of course, that they obey the rules posted on the first page of this thread.

In any event, the Hellboy 3-Disc complete is in my office, and will take a day or two to retrieve. The rest are handy here. Get 'em while they're hot.

Hey guys I am gonna try and take a break for just a bit. I have been having sleeping problems and the doctor prescribed a small dose of prozac for me..she seems to think it may be depression. Frankly so far this stuff is only making things worse if you ask me, but she wants me to stick with it for at least a few more weeks... easy for her to say its not wreaking havoc on her life.

I like the way you talk, man. :)

You're a bit like me. You really enjoyed those OSTs and try to communicate your enthusiasm to others. That's the way to go.

Yes I know most of these and enjoy them very much too. You have very good tastes my friend.

But I haven't heard this one :
Tenpei Sato arrange

It would be great if you could post it, thank you. ;) Do you have the Gamemp3s version ? Because their releases are in very good quality.

I actually know his reasoning on this point. If someone else requests the same thing (though looking at the examples, I'd have to wonder who) and he provides it, the offender can still benefit from it, and likely not learn the intended lesson.

In that case, I know that Klingon Academy has some nifty choral pieces (battle hymns in Klingon, of course), and Tactical Assault is so electronic that it could pass for MIDI files, but I'll need some time to examine and grade the distinctions in between. I'll let you know what turns up, and you can decide what you'd like then.

Arthierr's right, I've been there too. I can also warn you that dropping it all sudden-like is more dangerous than not having taken it in the first place. As someone standing in the (reasonable) clear on the other side of the initial storm, allow me to offer this advice: You may feel it's disrupting your life now, but look at it as resetting a bone that was once broken and never knitted back together correctly. It's going to hurt like hell when the doctor re-breaks it, but you can't heal without doing it first. Also, you've got professionals on hand with all the proper splints and casts to make sure it heals properly this time. Don't ignore them, or you'll end up going through worse later.

Take care of yourself.

Correct, Sensei. In fact, if I post something he's requested for somebody else after drawing attention to his misbehavior like I have, he'd likely learn the exact opposite lesson, namely that being a pain in the arse gets results.

Further, if he can't behave like a grown-up (or else it wouldn't have come to this), then it's time to use second-grade methods to convince him. He may not care that I'm fed up with him, but just like Sister Mary Refuge knew back in St. Michael's Elementary School when she'd punish the entire class for the actions of a chronic troublemaker, having everybody in the thread mad at him for ruining things for them ought to convince him to change his ways.

Harsh? Perhaps. But I'd like to think that, as was said about Doug and Dinsdale Piranha, "He was harsh, but fair." And I haven't even nailed anyone's head to the table yet.

MSG Target in Sight is a huge orchestral album for a really lame ps3 game but the music is awesome so check it out. Also Disgaea arrange is the smallest tenpei sato arrange i have up here so if you've never heard any of his music i suggest giving it a shot because he has very unique style.

I have not yet had the chance to see it yet, but agree that for some soundtracks it is better to listen to before you buy.

On a side note, how was the movie?

On a side note, how was the movie?

It was about what I expected, to quote from the last part of my review, "The movie sells itself as high octane action from beginning to end. The movie has a few moments of excitement spaced well throughout that will have audiences cheering. I was disappointed by the lack of gore shown especially after the amount of gore in the original. Much of this is because the race is now on a closed track so there is no more wanton running over of civilians along the way. If you don’t mind dumb entertainment, there is some fun to be had in Death Race." I gave it a 3/5

The original was great...it had some great action and lots of tongue-in-cheek humor that my dad and I always appreciated.

As for the new version, I will probably wait until it comes out on video. Hollywood does not seem to have an original idea for anything anymore and puts out remake after remake that seldom are worth the film stock they are printed on.

Howdy, folks.

I'm looking for a particular piece of Tomb Raider music. The Dreamcast version of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation (TR4) had the title music remixed by Paul Oakenfold, if I'm not mistaken, however all versions of this track I've managed to find online are incomplete. I was wondering if any of you have it?

I have it in .adc format, however I tried googling up some tool to handle this file format and came up empty handed. I have uploaded it here, if anyone is familiar with this format or is willing to have a go.

Anybody have this complete score of transformers the movie by steve jablonsky?

CD1:

1. Autobots
2. Qatar (Alternate)
...

Woah, where did THAT come from? As far as I knew, there was only the single disc one released. Dang, if that score's real, I might wet myself in excitement (I'm a guy)...!

Ok, I know this is a very obscure one.... and I am not totally sure it made it past LP...

Series: Blake's 7
Composer: Dudley Simpson

You've got three options.

A. Television Tunes has the opening and closing themes as MP3's here:
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
Just a little scratchy, though, and probably taken from a mono VHS source.

B. I've got an album called BBC Space Themes, which includes a 3:33 version of the Blake's 7 theme as part of a 20:39 track that also includes Star Trek, Quatermass, Tomorrow's World and Doctor Who. Better quality, but what the original uploader seems to have done is record this directly from the original LP, with each side as a single continuous track. I don't have the audio editing software to separate it except in the most clumsy manner.

The full album BBC Space Themes: Contains themes from Apollo, Moonbase 3, A for Andromeda, The Sky at Night, Apollo Soyuz, Journey Into Space, Space For Man and the Case for Ancient Astronauts, Blake’s 7, Star Trek, Quatermass, Tomorrow’s World and Doctor Who

C. I've got an album called The Cult Files, which features an extended version of the main Blake's 7 theme, but it isn't by the original artist. It's performed by Mark Ayres and his sythesizer (composer of the 1988-89 Doctor Who episodes "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy," "Ghost Light," and "The Curse of Fenric"), and to be honest he gets away from Dudley Simpson's intent a bit by turning it into a 90's-style proto-dance-mix about half way through.

The full album The Cult Files: Contains themes from The X-Files, The Avengers, The Saint, The Prisoner, Doctor Who, Blake’s Seven, Red Dwarf, Hawaii 5-0, Perry Mason, Ironside, Mission: Impossible, The Incredible Hulk, Knight Rider, Airwolf, Star Trek, Babylon 5, Twin Peaks, V – The Series, SeaQuest DSV, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Excalibur, Alien, Escape From New York, Blade Runner, Halloween, The Omen, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, Superman, Batman, Body Heat, Somewhere in Time, Taxi Driver, and Peter Gunn

Would you want me to upload either of those albums?

Yes its really 60 tracks, the 52 track is the promo expanded score that was leaked before the original score CD.

The best thing you can get right now is the 52 track version. This 60 track one is not real as its a combination of the 52 track one, the OST and a couple of cues from film's DVD.

Listen, I don't promise you anything but if nobody makes it available here I'll try to understand first how to upload such stuff on rapidshare or else. Then I'll see if I can take the time to upload it, knowing that if I do so it would be only in .FLAC files, because I do want the dowloader to be able to make the best copy on CD's and to enjoy the work at his best.

But from here, let's see!

If I can help :

- You make an archive of your OST

- you go for instance on rapidshare [Only registered and activated users can see links]
on the main page you click on "choose"

- You select your archive

- You click on "OK" and then "upload"

- and you just have to wait.

Easy, isn't it ?

I apologize in advance if this was requested before, but does someone have the Blade Runner (1982) the "Off World Music" Bootleg by none other than Vangelis (my favorite composer)? I did a Wiki research so I hope that helps.

It consists of 18 tracks with disk time of 72 minutes -- not the incomplete version (both 1982 and '94) nor the New American Orchestra version (sans Vangelis) which was the official release. I can also settle for the '94 version.

I've heard so much about the OST, of how we have so many versions that one can count even a new 2007.

Put simply, I'm interested in the 18 track bootleg as it's claimed to be definitive of the movie.

I have been very grateful of you all with your help, and I appreciate of any leads you come up with.

Thank you.
