This isn't a request but I might request it eventually.
The original one missed call "Chakushin ari " is there a soundtrack to that? not the new american one but the japanese one? in the soundtrack listing of chakushin ari" on imdb the only thing listed is "Ikutsuka no Sora"

It's the disc 7 of Superman Box Set released by FSM.
It contains the music from the Superman animated series, that aired on CBS some years ago.
You can see more details of this set here:
[Only registered and activated users can see links] that's the 1988 series, so I won't need it. What I'de interested in would have been the 1996-2000 series, by Shirley Walker, Michael McCuistion, Lolita Ritmanis and Kristopher Carter: all I've got from it is the scores from "In Brightest Day" and "Fish Story", cues from "Absolute Power" and "Obsession", and the titles (Main, Extended, End, and New)
But thanks for the answer ;)
Is "Batman Beyond" the 20-tracks album that was released a few years ago?

MANIAKMEDIC WROTE: I've got an idea to help introduce people to new scores and soundtracks (and maybe even remind people of one that they wanted and totally forgot about). Tell me if you think this is a good idea:
Everybody on the board posts links to up to three of their very favorite scores/ost's with a small blurb about why they like that one so much.
I myself have never been very big on scores mostly because while I like the music coupled with the movie, alone it generally tends to feel like it's missing something. Then I saw the movie Sunshine and the score grabbed me, threw me against the wall, and demanded I find a copy (which we all know was never commercially released and had to be painstakingly tracked down). Also, in searching for scores for other people, I've run across at least one (Pan's Labyrinth) that I hadn't even realized I wanted until I saw a link for it. Same thing for soundtracks with songs by various artists.
I really think sharing our favorite scores/ost's could do the same for other people. It doesn't even have to be a rare one. Any video game/movie/tv soundtrack will do. Thoughts, concerns, suggestions?

Well I thought this was a great idea, so here is my first entry the "Young Sherlock Holmes" score by Bruce Broughton. (Sorry the quality is only about mid-level, I looked for this score for years and this is all I could find).
This is one of my favorite scores, because I am a pretty big Sherlock Holmes buff but of all the movies I have seen none of them seems to have a score that really fits the mood of detective work Holmes style (deductive/cereberal but with a sense of adventure) quite like this one. I am well aware the movie does not fit into the official canon, but it is definately a fun hollywood romp. It is a full orchestra score that has an older feel to it almost like a Hitchcock movie score, but with it's own twist. I love how the music varies throughout, but it still resonates the main theme, each piece has its own personality reflecting the chapters in the movie but still feel like they are a part of the whole. "The Ceremony" is a interesting pre-cursor to the chanting scene in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", in fact that whole scene is like an Egyptian smaller scale version of the sacrifice scene in "Doom". Listen and see if you don't start having Temple of Doom flashbacks. It's hard to say since there are so many soundtracks I love, but this would probably be one of my "desert Island" albums. Hope you enjoy it!

MANIAKMEDIC WROTE:
I've got an idea to help introduce people to new scores and soundtracks (and maybe even remind people of one that they wanted and totally forgot about). Tell me if you think this is a good idea:
Everybody on the board posts links to up to three of their very favorite scores/ost's with a small blurb about why they like that one so much.
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
Indeed a good idea. It's a good thing to explain why we choose to promote a score. If you don't, many people will just see and pass, perhaps missing then the opportunity to grab a wonderful score.
My personal favourite is KRULL by James Horner. I saw the movie when I was 5, I loved it then but it's the music that totally impressed me. Some years after, I've had the opportunity to buy a new (horribly expensive) complete 2 cds release. My hands were shaking when I first had it between them.
For me Horner has composed here one of the most beautiful, elegant and powerful score in history. Some moments are totally astonishing, at many places the orchestra goes crazy and the choirs are used with an intensity I rarely heard elsewhere. And the melodies! The sublime main theme, the gracious love theme...
This is a personal rip made in the highest mp3 quality possible (lame 3.98 preset insane). All covers are included.

I already posted it in the Download links [Only registered and activated users can see links] but here it is again.

I can post the suites if you want. Note that each episode is a single track.

WOW! Thanks Zoran! This is AWESOME! It is far more complete than what I had. However now I am utterly confused; your version is completely out of movie order... heck it really doesn't have ANY order, and some of the track names are different and some are the same. Even more confusing, some of the tracks on my shorter version appear to be a mashed up conglomeration of more than one track from your version, as if someone took two tracks and put them together. My shorter version is missing a TON of cues (not to mention yours has alternate outtakes) but it seems to be in movie order as far as I can tell. Was your version really released this out of order? I mean its pretty insane it jumps from the end of the movie, to the beginning and then the middle, then just gets even more scrambled. Don't get me wrong I am absolutely LOVING this version it is at 192 kbps as you guessed and has MUCH more cues. I am just really puzzled as to why they would release it this way... its beyond odd.
But again, THANK YOU! It is wonderful to hear the missing cues especially! :)

I was thinking to myself about my favorite film music composers but i'll put it out there for the community. Who are your top 10 favorite composers ( I thought about 15 but 10 will force you to make some choices)? If you want you can use 1 honorable mention. Also name 3 films for each composer that affected you the most. Here are mine (after the top 3 this is going to be hard).
01. - John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T.)
02. - James Horner (Star Trek II, Braveheart, Titanic)
03. - Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Mummy)
04. - John Carpenter (Halloween, Escape from New York, The Fog)
05. - Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, Edward Scissorhands)
06. - Basil Poledouris (Conan the Barbarian, Hunt for Red October, Red Dawn)
07. - Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, Pearl Harbor, The Last Samurai)
08. - Ennio Morricone (The Good,The Bad, and The Ugly, A Fistful of Dollars, Once Upon a Time in the West)
09. - David Arnold (Stargate, Independence Day, Godzilla)
10. - Akira Ifukube (Godzilla, Mothra vs Godzilla, Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla)
Honorable Mention:
Shigeru Umebayashi (House of Flying Daggers, Huo Yuan Ja, Curse of the Golden Flower)

Thank you BBsee for the track ordering on Young Sherlock Holmes. That makes a little more sense, but there are still some things very much out of movie order. So I guess what I will have to do is watch the movie and write down approximately where each cue goes and re-order it myself.
Since you appear to be French, or know French well would you know if they ever released a soundtrack/score for the cartoon series: "Belle and Sebastian" I have looked all over and can't find much of any info on this show at all, here in the US it used to be aired back to back with "The Mysterious Cities of Gold" on Nickelodeon. Both these cartoons were Japanese anime made for mainly French audiences and dubbed for early 80's Nickelodeon.
I am also looking for any Tintin or Asterix soundtracks since I have never heard them and am curious to, or season two of the BBC radio series of Tintin.
Any help is appreciated.

I've decided to go with the ones that I canlisten to over and over again and still not get enough. Here's the first of my picks.
Dark City (Complete 2-Disc) - by Trevor Jones
Part 1 - [Only registered and activated users can see links]
Part 2 - [Only registered and activated users can see links]
Why do I like this one? It captures the atmosphere of its film perfectly, dark, ominous and brooding. The action cues are gloriously frenzied, and the love theme speaks more of loss and regret than romance. Even the "songs from and inspired by" feel like they belong in the movie instead of simply being tacked on to move singles. This complete version hasd several quiet tracks that may not be as flashily memorable as the themes for tuning sequence and the final confrontation, but they do their job by adding to the feeling of unease that permeates the film.
I found this one when I was getting ready to run Dark*Matter ([Only registered and activated users can see links]*Matter), a role-playing game set in the present-day real world, but with all manner of aliens and UFOs, cryptozoological and supernatural monsters, demonic cults, secret government conspiracies and experiments, psychics, magic and other unexplained phenomena all too real and lurking in the shadows. It was the perfect soundtrack for the mood I was seeking to evoke. You can be sure that I'll be using again for the newly updated D20 Modern version.
Doctor Who: Series One and Two: Contains suites from the episodes “Rose”, “The End of the World”, “Aliens of London/World War Three”, “Dalek”, “Father’s Day”, “Boom Town”, “Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways”, “The Christmas Invasion”, “New Earth”, “Tooth and Claw”, “The Girl in the Fireplace”, “Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel”, “The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit”, “Love and Monsters”, “Army of Ghosts/Doomsday”, and “The Runaway Bride” – by Murray Gold
Part 1 - [Only registered and activated users can see links]
Part 2 - [Only registered and activated users can see links]
Doctor Who: Series One Bootleg: Contains previously unreleased and alternate versions of suites from the episodes “Rose”, “The End of the World”, “Aliens of London/World War Three”, “Boom Town”, and “Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways" – by Murray Gold
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
Doctor Who: Series Three: Contains suites from the episodes “The Runaway Bride,” “Smith and Jones,” “The Shakespeare Code,” “Gridlock,” “Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks,” “Human Nature/The Family of Blood,” “Blink,” “Utopia/The Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords,” and “Voyage of the Damned” – by Murray Gold
Part 1 - [Only registered and activated users can see links]
Part 2 - [Only registered and activated users can see links]
I'm going to count all three of these albums as a single score, because that's the way I cue them up in Windows Media Player, as a single playlist.
I've loved the Doctor Who theme my whole life, and Murray Gold's version for the revived series is my favorite, with the addition of driving strings alongside the eerie wail of the main synthesized melody line, and the triumphant orchestral variation that arrived in season 2. These albums, however, have so much more. There's pounding action in cues like "The Slitheen," "UNIT," and "The Carrionites Swarm." There's apocalyptic menace in "Daleks," "The Cybermen," and "All The Strange, Strange Creatures". There's victorious joy in "The Doctor Forever" and "This is Gallifrey", whimsy in "Monster Bossa" and "Gridlocked Cassinis," and quiet, sad beauty in "The Face of Boe" and "Madame de Pompadour." Literally all of it is exquisite.
I can't quite decide on a third one tonight, so I'll comb the CD racks in my office and choose after that.

Sorry I've been gone so long. Had some other stuff going on.
Since it was my idea in the first place I'm thinking I should post my favorite scores/soundtracks and tell you why I like them so much.
Sunshine ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) - This one is my favorite score for one reason: it's the first score that really jumped out at me while I was watching a movie. I've said before that to me scores always seemed to be missing something without the actual video to go with the audio, but John Murphy and Underworld completely took that away. The score made Sunshine both a fantastic visual and audio feast.
Pan's Labyrinth ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) - Guillermo del Toro is a damn genius and I really think it was his insistence that Javier Navarrete structure the score around a lullaby-like melody (which composers apparently are reluctant to do) that made it as memorable as it is. And not only is it simple, it's incredibly atmospheric, meaning you can hum it to yourself and be transported right back into the movie, no matter where you happen to be.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) (pass: ileferru) - I've always loved the sounds of middle eastern music and this game soundtrack played on that perfectly. Of the three Prince of Persia games currently released for the PS2, Sands of Time (the first) had the best soundtrack because it meshed really well with the ambiance and cultural background of the game. And the end credit song "Time Only Knows" is hauntingly slow with excellent vocals.
I know these aren't the most rare of scores, but I hope that you'll give them a chance if you haven't yet heard them.

....Macross Plus by Yoko Kanno. Something where they really go full on with the orchestra and make you wanna see the movie it's for (although the movies are usually not that great :P ).
If you know of anything like that I'd really appreciate it, I'm always looking for something new but regretfully don't have the time to listen/download every soundtrack there is.
P.S. Still digging on the Fire and Ice soundtrack, it's pretty good.

Z_O_R_A_N, thanks a million for the quality of your last uploads. 320k or losless, now my collection has improved.
Well that last several were not my uploads but live links to requests that I found by employing my search skills. I am happy to have helped you and others out by finding not only some hard to find scores & soundtracks but also in high quality. My thanks go toward the original uploaders. ;)

I am sure your list has grown since I coped it and put in my archives...however the ones that caught my eye were:
Running Man--- Harold Faltermeyer
Quantum Leap----Velton Ray Bunch/Mike Post
Fright Night 2 cd soundtrack and score
Sure thing, I will get them up here soon, just waiting on a few torrents to complete that have been in the process for several months. And yes, the list has grown quite a bit... I am not sure how to update it without it being a incredible pain in the watusi. I really should burn a bunch of stuff too, but even with dvd's its going to be a very long affair to do so and have been putting the task off. I suppose I should get around to it, that external hard drive isn't going to hold them forever.

I know what you mean with that. Im glad i started backing up my film scores before I got too many. Now i have 10 dvds full and probably 2-4 more worth of stuff to burn. I would totally like to post a list of all my scores but it would be a huge pain. Someone needs to make a program that can search all the tags in a folder and recognize each unique existance of album name and make a list of each artist and album name that exists in that folder.

You and everyone here should try Music Collector from collectorz.com...It's a database that can automatically enter data from Amazon and other sources to make your very own custom data base. Manually entering information is sometimes necessary especially with obscure releases but I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed having mine and I recomend it 100%.

Thanks I'll have to try that, and its especially good that im gonna do that now before i have a very huge collection of cds but for what im trying to do now, list all my osts for this forum, 99% of which I don't own then it seems that doing a simple DIR in a dos prompt helps best. Thankfully my mom is a pro with dos :P At least I will be saved the hassle of typing out my lists of zimmer and John Williams.

I know the feeling...wish torrents were faster, the waiting is excruciating sometimes depending on the size of the file(s) you are downloading. I am in no hurry, in fact I am about to have to back up my current finds to make room for more. When I download scores & ost's I put them in a folders maked DVD 1 - 4 and when they are filled I burn them to a DVD-RW. These temporary DVD's are then cataloged and stored until I can burn the individual CD's from them or until I need to upload a request. Yes typing up a soundtrack list is a pain but when I did mine I'd just work for an hour or so and stop so it would not burn me out.

Would anyone happen to know where to get the score to the U.S. SEALS movie, it is composed by Peter Golub. The score is pretty much impossible to get but I thought I would try anyway :-)

Below is the most up to date list of all my soundtracks. A huge portion of them are from this forum's links and another huge portion is from Demonoid or other torrent sites. Credit goes to whomever uploaded them thus why I kept FlynnFlan's name on the folders that were from his Demonoid torrents. The listings are from the folder names so it may be a bit jumbled but for the most part contains the information that you need to know what form it is in. Please feel free to ask me bitrate, number of tracks, or other information you need. and most of all I hope I can share some soundtracks people haven't listened to before.
May I please request :

Alas, I think we should start compiling all the Batman The Animated Series, Adventures of B&R and The new Batman Adventures tracks in a new thread, because it'd hard to look for them in various places. Anyone willing to do this? Aside from that I have a request for B:TAS from the following episodes: Nothing to Fear, The Cat and The Claw (part I and II), Prophecy of Doom, Fear of Victory, Dreams in Darkness, The Laughing Fish, Off Balance, Harley and Ivy, Fire From Olympus
TNBA: Cold Comfort, Double Talk, Never Fear, Over The Edge, ChemistryHello,
You can find the music from The Laughing Fish in "Batman TAS Promo Score" by Shirley Walker, Michael McCuistion and Carlos Rodriguez. You'll find the link in the thread "JLU: Destroyer" by KalEl1029.
Your idea of creating a new thread for BTAS music is great. If you do it, I'll post there a complete list of what I've already found.

To save time from actually posting every link im finding on this specific blog, im going to post a link to the search results for randy edelman on the blog and you can search for any composer's work you are looking for in detail. Generally the actual scores tracks are listed without any dashes, dashes used to denote a different artist meaning non-score tracks.

I know of it already and it is an incredibly H-U-G-E blog to have only begun in May 2008. Please note to pay attention to what you are downloading though...a lot of the time you see a score posted by a specific composer and once you look at the track list it becomes obvious that it is the various artists version.
