This has been highly requested over the years, so me and Magusstorm decided to work on a complete rip. Magusstorm was mainly responsible for creating the tracklist, without his expertise and knowledge of the game this rip would not have been possible. Huge thanks go to him.

Ditto for me as well… I just saw this thread listed on the front page today, and went "Woohoo!" I'd long ago given up hope on ever finding this soundtrack, and here it was.

Unfortunately, as the rest of you, I found this thread too late as well.

Thalin… If at all possible, I would very much appreciate a reuploading of the files to make them available for those of us who unfortunately missed it the first time around. (Judging by the several postings just from today, it looks like many other folks would be most appreciative of this as well!)

I would also like to say that I'm definitely interested in a rip of SUMMONER 2 as well. (Any idea if the subsequent GameCube port -- SUMMONER: A GODDESS REBORN -- retained the same score as the PS2 edition, or did if include any new/different cues?)

In any event Thalin, many thanks for taking the time to do this rip of SUMMONER, and many thanks in advance for SUMMONER 2 (should you decide to do it, of course…)!

I also hope you are able to put SUMMONER back up there for those of us who missed it earlier.

I've searched and I've searched everywhere. If I get the tracks I can post them up on my website, and share them via Limewire. I'd be only too happy, as I believe the world needs to be awakened in regards to this wonderful, inspiring, fantastic music by Scott Lee. I even emailed the guy a while back, but he reckons he hasn't got it any longer. I can't believe it, but he only ever posted about seven tracks on his website - a website which doesn't seem to exist anymore, btw.

Please Thalin. From a genuine fanatic that owns the original game, and wants to be able to play the music everywhere... not just on a tv.

By the way, is this a rip from the PC version? Although I know that (from Mobygames), the PC version is "a complete conversion (with a few improvements) of the PS2 title of the same name", I'm just curious about it. Thanks again for the rip. I've added all the songs to my shared folder in Limewire too, file names unchanged, should there be more people in future that want the music.

I leave Limewire on whenever I'm on the computer now. This is really just for when the upload no longer works, and to keep a copy of it available elsewhere. It may also be handy for people after only selected tracks (my favourites are Jade Temple, End Credits, Masad, Machival Battle), but do not want to download the whole lot to get them.

I've been looking for this score for a long time so I decided to shell out $20 on eBay, buy the original PC game and rip it myself. I used a program called Descent Manager VPPBuilder32 to extract the audio. Enjoy! =)

Unfortunately I don't have (and don't want to use) MSN, Brian...I don't like how it infiltrates your system and is very hard to get rid of. I would be willing to get the file through AIM or through a torrent, however. the best way to do it even if it is long is if someone has the game and a PC/laptop with a mic near the PS2 so they can record the music there, it may be long but it's one way of doing it

I suppose you could use a PS2 emulator. other than that you would probably need some speacalist recording equipment that plugs into your TV.

First thanks for the rip of the soundtrack of one of my favorite games of all time. I've searched a long time for a complete soundtrack.

I've tried to rip the music of Summoner 2 by myself but was unsuccessful.
First I used a typical PS2 sound rip programm (MFAudio) and opend the music.vpp. But the sound was very choppy and it seemed, that not all music was included (the big part was fighting sound).

Then there is a VPP Builder for games like Red Faction and Summoner, unfortunately it can't open the Summoner 2 vpp files.
I contacted the programmer, but got no response since today.

It's no problem to open the videos and extract the music, but that's not nearly enough. I even coudn't find the credits for the Halassar theme.

That's so depressing.:(

It seems AVG (never heard before) is making a Summoner 2 DVD with all movies, music files and some extra stuff.
They offer some of the movies and more soundclips than the official Summoner 2 site for download.

I went the same route with that track and most of the others. I also have the tracks from Volition's site before they took it down. Palace theme, world map, hopiris, munari city, miridan's pass, eye of the storm, tamirath citadel, trailer, intro, title screen, arena, and sharangir.

That's one that I did tv rip while I was sitting in the palace. Is the track very different or just slightly? I wonder if the music changes a little depending on where you are in the story, because I was on a save file that was towards the end of the game.

That one and the world map music are the only variations that I know of for that theme, does anyone else have one?
