Holy crap, nice! Do you happen to have a "Sparkster" rip by any chance? If you don't know what I'm talking about, "Sparkster" was a similar game to this one but it was on the SNES and featured the same characters.

Beating this game on the hardest difficulty without using Emulator tricks is quite a hard challenege. IIRC, the highest difficulty rating only gave you 1 life, no continues, and any hit by any enemy is an instant KO. You'd have to be one hell of a gamer to do that without save states.
